For rapid text creation and initial proofreading, PolyEdit is fast, unobtrusive, and does not overload the user interface. I consider it a good tool for writing emails and taking notes during meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I also found that PolyEdit does not have any actual collaboration tools. This disqualifies it for projects where there is work that must be done in cooperation on just one document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
