I really like how Poised can help you keep track of the little things in your speech. Things like your pace, filler words, and overall tone variation. Having a passive assistant like Poised to actively track this has allowed me to make huge strides in my own habits as a communicator. I think given it's such an early product, some elements aren't as refined. For example, sometimes the recording isn't playable via audio or Poised uses the wrong camera for eye tracking. What I like the most about Poised is that it is effortless and real time. It removes my biases from reflecting on my own speaking and listening abilities and provides real-time feedback on a variety of skillsets that are often really hard for me to evaluate on my own. Even if I work with a coach, the coach is not present in my meetings and therefore Poised is an innovative approach that is much better than the way communication coaching is done today. Poised is very easy to use -- easy to set up, and then easy to get started using habitually. It is extremely helpful in giving you feedback about how you're showing up in meetings. Knowing when I'm using too many filler words, not talking loud enough, or showing up with low energy is extremely helpful because it puts me in charge of my own communication. Poised offers an easy way to track your progress and improve you communication skills on video calls/meetings. It integrates easily with most of the major systems (google meet, zoom, etc) and provides private guidance in a real time manner to help you improve how you present yourself and your message. Some of the metrics require some additional explaining if I am to buy in on how they are measured. Such as how they measure my "empathy" during a call. I would love to better understand how this is tracked. The biggest downside is the price point. At $19 a month, you are paying a premium for this service. I would think it should be priced at half that for mass adoption. This premium price point is why I will not be continuing after the trial period, unfortunately. One thing I did not expect was how sad/offended I felt after seeing some of the meeting results. I'm not sure if I missed how to see exactly when I looked "disgusted" but apparently I looked this way in every single one of my meetings. I can't help it if that's just the way my regular face looks. I'm not sure I like how it grades my "energy" either. The analytics and insights are invaluable to help me map out my development plan. I love that it helps me compare my progress and performance against others in my professional arena. There are two features of Poised that I find very helpful. First, Poised provided real-time feedback. This helps me adjust my communication cadence, volume, or tone while leading a meeting.
