## Plum POS Reviews

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

I find it very efficient for generating real-time reports. It’s easy to view everything live and pull the data you need. On top of that, the reporting system is excellent: you can review reports in detail from whatever perspective you want, and it all stays simple and straightforward to use.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

The initial setup time for the report can be quite time-consuming. I think the reporting side could be improved a bit to make the process smoother.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, I used to spend 5 to 6 hours a week on manual reporting. With Plum, I can create reports much more easily and manage inventory counts as well. Now I’m also able to build a custom dashboard and KPIs for the manager. I can monitor labor costs too by connecting scheduling and time-clock data.

  ### 2. Self-Order Kiosks Transformed Our Lunch Rush

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

We run a quick counter-service spot near a few office buildings, so lunch is basically a 90-minute stampede every day. The self-order kiosks have genuinely changed how we handle that rush. Customers can walk in, build their order, pay, and grab a buzzer without having to wait on a cashier. The line moves much faster now, and my staff can stay focused on making food instead of juggling order-taking and cash handling at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

The kiosk screen customization feels a bit clunky, and getting our combo meal builder to display the way we wanted took some trial and error. The receipt printer paired with the kiosk also seems to jam more often than our main terminal, although that could just be an issue with that specific unit.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main issue was simply not having enough staff to keep up with the lunch crowd without hiring extra people just to cover that one-hour block. The kiosks essentially act like additional cashiers during our busiest stretch. We’re not saving a crazy amount of money, but it does mean the two people up front aren’t drowning during the rush anymore. Orders also come out more accurate, since customers enter everything themselves instead of a rushed verbal order getting misheard.

  ### 3. Side-by-Side Reporting Makes Multi-Location Performance Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro V. | Team Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

Running three locations can be stressful at times, and what I care about most is being able to compare performance across stores without having to pull separate reports for each one. Plum’s reporting lets me view sales, labor, and inventory side by side, which makes it much easier to spot when one location is underperforming or running into food cost issues that the others aren’t.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

Rolling out the kiosks across all three locations took a bit longer than I’d budgeted, mainly because each site has a slightly different layout. I’d also appreciate more transparency into how the forecasting tool generates its predictions, since it still feels like a bit of a black box.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Plum, comparing locations meant manually pulling numbers from spreadsheets every week, which was time-consuming and easy to get wrong. Now that reporting is centralized, it’s much simpler to spot issues early—like when a location’s food cost starts creeping up—instead of realizing it weeks later. The kiosks have also helped take some pressure off our front-counter staff during lunch rushes and on weekends, especially at our busiest location.

  ### 4. Plum POS KDS Made Our Order Flow Faster and Clearer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda C. | Office Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

The biggest win for us has been the order flow between the counter and the kitchen. I used to rely on paper tickets, and during the Friday and Saturday rush things would get lost, smudged, or missed. With the Kitchen Display System by Plum POS, the kitchen sees orders the moment they’re placed, and the modifiers are clearly visible so staff can double-check them. Training new counter staff has also been quicker, since the terminal layout is pretty intuitive and easy to pick up.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

The reporting dashboard offers a lot of options, which I appreciate, but it took me some time to figure out which reports actually matter for a small business like mine. It would be a nice addition to have a simpler owner-focused view that just shows today’s sales and food cost.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest issue used to be miscommunication between the front counter and the kitchen, especially during peak hours when we’re juggling walk-ins and online orders at the same time. Since switching to Plum, orders have been much more consistent, and the staff no longer has to guess what a customer wants. It’s also made it easier to keep track of which specialty pizzas are actually selling.

  ### 5. Plum POS Keeps Orders Moving Smoothly—Even at Peak Hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike W. | Inventory Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

The system doesn’t slow down during the busiest, peak hours of the day, which is exactly what I was looking for. Since switching to Plum POS, orders move quickly and smoothly, and the system keeps up without lagging, so the staff isn’t stuck waiting for the screen to catch up. I’m highly impressed with its functionality.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

The mobile reporting doesn’t have the functionality I’m looking for right now. That said, it could improve, and their team has confirmed they’re working on it.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always used to face problems during the lunch rush. We weren’t able to manage orders as effectively as we needed to, which increased customer wait times and led to a poor overall experience. Since switching to Plum POS, we’ve been able to resolve this issue, and the results have been really good. Now we can take more orders with the same staff, without things getting backed up. I would highly recommend it to all restaurant owners.

  ### 6. Plum POS Saves Time with Easy Setup, Automation, and Real-Time Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert J. | HR Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

Plum has saved us a lot of time on the repetitive manual work we used to do. Now, everything is automated. We can access daily summaries, tracking, and real-time reports, and I no longer have to manually enter everything each time. The initial setup was also very easy. I would definitely give Plum POS a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

A few of the reports initially took some time to understand and generate. There was a minor learning curve, but once we became more familiar with the system, the process got much easier.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to spend a lot of time each week generating reports manually. Since switching to Plum, most of that manual work has been reduced, which has saved us a lot of time. Overall, the team is more efficient, and those repetitive tasks that used to take up our week are largely gone.

  ### 7. 10/10 Support Team That Guided Us Through Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick D. | Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Plum POS?**

We ran into a few issues during setup, but we eventually figured out how to connect the system. The support team was there to guide me, and they helped us resolve everything very quickly, especially since we were going live at the time. Overall, I was really impressed with the support team’s work. I’d give it a 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Plum POS?**

The documentation and user manual could be better. At times, it’s easier for me to contact support directly than to dig through the documents to find what I need.

**What problems is Plum POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, we used to struggle with delays. Whenever issues or technical errors came up, there was nobody available to help us, and we had to reach out to support again and again. With the Plum team, our issues are resolved as quickly as possible, which helps ensure our operations aren’t affected.
