## Plesk Reviews
  ### 1. Clean, All-in-One Plesk Panel with Easy Installs, Free Let’s Encrypt, and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lovepreet S. | Graphic Designer and Software Tester, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

The panel interface is very neat and clean with good theme, all the basic requirements like Domains,Database,Mails etc are available on single click and it also give Let's Encryptt free certificate which is very helpfull otherwise one have to go for paid ssl. Installation of Wordpress,Laravel is very easy and time saving, there might be other also but i use these 2 with plesk. One more thing which is very nice is their support, first of all ivr directly ask wheather you need Linix or Windows support and then directly connect with the required Engineer. Supporting multiple technology in single platform with very easy to use interface is like awesome. My First priority is plesk

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

The thing which i dont like is its auto session-out while user is using the panel, if user is far and there is no activity, thre is sense of session out but user is doing changes it logs out,for example i m doing changes in a particular pagee coding, while i save it logs out and it waste my time, its costly also, lite version should be there for small startups, migration issue also i face, i move one of my site in ne server which has cloudpannel,
its a bit tricky, advance things can be made more easy to use

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple websites of various technology in an single panel which is very easy to use is best point. Services like free let's encryptt ssl, scheduled backups, and as we come to Mail setup, its dam easy, in other panels setting mail and then configuring is an headache, its very easy here, Multiple websites & mails can be managed. One more postive point is we can create a sub user and give limited rights to it, its wonderfull feature

  ### 2. Enterprise-Grade Control Panel with Best-in-Class WordPress Toolkit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee S. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

Plesk has really cemented its place in 2026 as a go-to control panel for anyone who wants enterprise-grade capability without the “command-line headache.” It competes directly with cPanel, but its evolution into Plesk Obsidian (v18.0.76) makes it feel closer to a modern SaaS platform than a traditional server tool.

Here’s what I think is currently best about Plesk, along with the specific problems it solves.

First, the “WordPress Whisperer” (the Toolkit). The problem is that managing 10+ WordPress sites quickly turns into a mess of separate logins, constant pending updates, and that lingering “will this plugin break my site?” anxiety. The benefit is that the WordPress Toolkit is arguably the best in the industry. With Smart Updates, Plesk’s AI-driven updates clone your site, run the update in a sandbox, perform a visual regression test to catch anything that looks “off,” and only then push changes to production. Staging and cloning are also straightforward: you can spin up a staging environment in one click, sync data back and forth, and harden the security of every site on the server with a single toggle.

Second, multi-OS flexibility. The problem with most control panels is that they’re Linux-only, so if you need to run a .NET 10.0 application on Windows Server, you often end up stuck with clunky, manual configuration work. The benefit with Plesk is that it’s the only major player that offers a near-identical experience on both Linux and Windows, which makes it much easier to manage a mixed server fleet through one interface. In 2026, its support for .NET 10.0 and MariaDB 11.8 across both OS types feels seamless.

Third, security without “gatekeeping.” The problem is that hardening a server typically demands deep knowledge of iptables, fail2ban, and SSL protocols. The benefit is that Plesk simplifies this with the Security Advisor, which provides a “security score” and actionable one-click fixes. SSL It! handles the full lifecycle of short-lived SSL certificates (which have become the industry standard in 2026), automatically reissuing them so you don’t end up with a “Your connection is not private” error. On top of that, proactive protection through integrated Imunify360 and ModSecurity helps block brute-force attacks and web exploits before they ever touch your code.

Finally, a developer-first workflow. The problem is that many developers find control panels restrictive and would rather work directly with Git, Docker, or Node.js. The benefit is that Plesk treats these tools as first-class citizens. With Git integration, you can set up a push-to-deploy workflow so that when you push code to GitHub or GitLab, Plesk automatically pulls it and restarts your Node.js or Python app. Docker support is also built in, letting you manage containers directly from the UI and deploy microservices alongside more traditional websites.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

1. The “Pricing Creep” (My Biggest Complaint)
Plesk is owned by WebPros (the same parent company as cPanel), and 2026 has brought yet another noticeable price hike—around 26% on average across most tiers.

That “nickel and dimed” feeling: Even though the core control panel is powerful, a lot of features that feel essential—such as specialized antivirus (Imunify360), certain backup rotation options, and more advanced SEO tools—sit behind separate, often pricey, monthly licenses.

Tier limitations: If you’re on the “Web Admin” edition and suddenly need an 11th domain, you’re pushed into upgrading to “Web Pro.” That’s a big jump in cost for what is, in practice, just one additional site.

2. Resource “Bloat”
Plesk is a heavy-duty suite, and it’s simply not built for “lean and mean” setups.

RAM hunger: In 2026, an idle Plesk server typically uses roughly 600MB to 1.2GB of RAM just to keep the panel running. If you’re trying to run it on a cheap $5/month VPS with 1GB of RAM, Plesk will likely bog down the system before you even get a website installed.

Slower UI: Compared with lighter panels like DirectAdmin or newer open-source alternatives, the Plesk interface can feel sluggish at times—especially when loading the “Extensions” catalog or opening the WordPress Toolkit.

3. The “Black Box” Problem (Abstraction)
Plesk makes complicated server tasks easier by abstracting them away, but for advanced sysadmins that convenience can become a drawback.

Custom configs: If you edit an Apache or Nginx configuration file manually from the command line, Plesk may overwrite those changes the next time you click “Save” in the GUI. To avoid that, you have to learn the “Plesk way” (templates and its own workflow), which is frustrating if you’re used to standard Linux administration.

Troubleshooting: When something breaks with mail or a database, the UI error messages can be vague. You often end up digging through deeper, Plesk-specific log paths (like /var/log/plesk/) that don’t always match the conventions you’d expect on a typical Linux server.

4. Backup & Migration Clunkiness
Massive backups: The built-in backup manager is generally reliable, but it can be very slow and resource-intensive on large sites. On high-traffic servers, it also seems prone to “timeout” issues during the compression stage.

Migration failures: The “Plesk Migrator” tool is a good idea in theory, but it often stumbles on custom PHP settings or more complex database permissions when moving sites from cPanel or older Plesk versions. In those cases, I’ve found it tends to require manual intervention to finish the job properly.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In 2026, the value of Plesk isn’t just having a “pretty interface” for your server—it’s about mitigating risk and reclaiming time. As web environments get more complex with short-lived SSLs, containerized apps, and constant security threats, Plesk becomes an automated buffer between you and the chaos.

Here are the specific problems Plesk is solving, and how they translate into direct benefits for you.

1. Problem: “Update Anxiety” and Broken Sites
The Solution: AI-Powered Smart Updates
Manual updates are risky; one incompatible plugin can take down a high-traffic site.
The Benefit: Plesk’s Smart Update clones your site into a sandbox, runs the update, and uses AI-driven visual regression testing to compare the “before” and “after.” If it detects a broken layout or a 404 error, it stops the update. The result is a 100% success rate on updates without you having to manually check a staging site.

2. Problem: Managing Fragmented Tech Stacks
The Solution: Native Multi-Stack Support (Docker, Node.js, .NET 10)
In 2026, most developers aren’t just running “simple PHP.” They might have a WordPress site, a Node.js microservice, and maybe a legacy .NET app.
The Benefit: Plesk gives you one unified dashboard for all of it. You can manage Docker containers, deploy from Git, and switch PHP or .NET versions on a per-domain basis. You spend less time “context switching,” because you don’t need five different tools to manage one project.

3. Problem: The “Security Skills Gap”
The Solution: The Security Advisor & Auto-Healing
Hardening a server typically requires a specialized sysadmin to configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and fail2ban rules.
The Benefit: Plesk’s Security Advisor provides a “one-click” hardening path. It automates the re-issuance of short-lived SSL certificates (now the 2026 standard) and uses Self-Healing tools to automatically restart services (like MySQL or Nginx) if they crash. You get enterprise-grade security without needing a dedicated security officer.

4. Problem: Client/User “Micro-Management”
The Solution: Granular Role Delegation
If you manage sites for others, giving them “too much” access is a recipe for support tickets when someone accidentally deletes a database.
The Benefit: You can create custom Service Plans and User Roles. A client can access their email settings and file manager, but still be locked out of server-wide PHP settings. You end up with fewer support tickets, plus a professional, branded interface to present to your clients.

  ### 3. All-in-One, Easy-to-Use Platform for Deployment, Monitoring, and Website Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh K. | Data Analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

It is one of the best website and deployement tool i have used. Not providing only just one features but its like a suite of features with one single easy to use platform that helps to manage websites, servers not only the deployement is covered but also monitoring is also done on same platform. The plesk 360 platform is very cleanly designed and also new webpros platform is also there. I have been using it frequently from past few months and i found many new features to learn that i don't understand earlier. It can be easily integrated with other third party tools and the plugins can also be installed based on the need. It can handle not only custom coded website but also the wordpress website . The customer support is also there to resolve the issues.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

One of the best thing that i would like to mention that to test all their features and get the familiarity of their platform they provide the free trial that gives enough time to completely check their features. I would like to add that video tutorials can be more helpful for the beginners who don't want to read documentation.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it to serve the hosting of the websites including the custom coded website and the wordpress website to make them live on the internet. The 360 platform is very fast and also deployment is fast and easy to perform.

  ### 4. Clean, Unified Dashboard for Easy Server & Website Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamal R. | Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

What I like best about Plesk is its clean, unified interface that makes server and website management simple and efficient.
It allows easy handling of domains, emails, databases, DNS, and SSL from a single dashboard.
Plesk also offers strong built-in security like Let’s Encrypt, firewalls, and malware protection.
Its support for both Linux and Windows servers makes it flexible for different hosting needs.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

What I dislike about Plesk is that it can feel resource-heavy, especially on smaller or low-spec servers. Some advanced features depend on paid extensions, which increases overall cost.
The licensing model can become expensive as the number of domains grows.
Occasionally, updates or extensions may cause compatibility or stability issues.
For advanced custom server configurations, manual control is more limited compared to pure command-line setups.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk solves the problem of complex and time-consuming server administration by bringing all hosting tasks into a single, easy-to-use control panel.
It reduces manual effort in managing websites, databases, emails, DNS, and SSL, saving time and minimizing errors. Automated tools for WordPress management, backups, and security improve reliability and consistency. This benefits me by speeding up deployments, reducing operational overhead, and allowing me to focus more on application and business work instead of server maintenance.

  ### 5. Easy, Secure, and Fast Server Management with Plesk

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Onur E. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

Plesk is a powerful panel that makes server management easy, secure, and fast.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Plesk is expensive and complex; it's redundant when there's SSH.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk solves the complexity of server management by centralizing website, domain, database, email, DNS, SSL, and backup operations into one interface.

It reduces DevOps overhead, speeds up deployments, simplifies security hardening (firewall, updates, certificates), and makes client/account management easier.

Benefit to me: less time on server configuration, fewer manual errors, faster project launches, easier scaling, and the ability to delegate non-critical tasks without giving full server access.

  ### 6. The best control panel for managing servers and hosting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I have been using Plesk for 15 years, starting from the early versions, and it has always been a reliable ally. Over the years, it has evolved alongside technology and has allowed me to optimize the management of my servers (Windows Server) and hosting.

It enables me to automate many recurring tasks such as backups and, today, it is compatible with major storage providers .

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

It lacks a wide selection of plugins and falls short in terms of security features. A more advanced software firewall would be ideal.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk is helping me simplify and centralize server and hosting management. It reduces the time spent on repetitive tasks such as creating accounts, managing domains, and scheduling backups.

  ### 7. Hosting control panel

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I’ve been working with Plesk for server management across multiple client projects, and while it’s established itself as a major player in the hosting control panel space, the experience has been mixed at best.

Its unified dashboard handles site deployment, security configurations, database administration, and SSL management efficiently. The interface simplifies complex server tasks through intuitive controls, making it accessible even for less technical users.

Centralized management works consistently across server environments, allowing unified control over domains, applications, and security protocols without switching interfaces. The automation capabilities handle tasks like one-click WordPress deployments and bulk SSL installations reliably, reducing manual configuration time.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Pricing structure becomes prohibitive at scale, with annual increases and premium extensions significantly raising costs.

Resource management struggles on lower-tier servers, occasionally causing performance bottlenecks during peak loads.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidating server management tasks into a single platform eliminated our need for fragmented tools, reducing administrative overhead.
The standardized interface accelerated onboarding for junior IT staff while maintaining enterprise-grade security protocols. However, budget constraints emerged as the primary operational hurdle due to unpredictable licensing costs.

  ### 8. Plesk Administrator

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jatin r. | Cloud backup engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

It allows me to manage multiple sites, applications, security, and performance from one dashboard—whether on Linux or Windows.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

While Plesk offers a lot of features, the cost can add up—especially when you scale or need premium extensions. It’s not the most budget-friendly option for small projects.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk consolidates everything into a single, user-friendly interface. This simplifies routine tasks like deploying websites, creating databases, managing DNS, and installing SSL certificates—all from one place.

  ### 9. Good choice for administrating Wordpress sites.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali Kemal O. | Yazılım Uygulama ve Destek Elemanı, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

Plesk Obsidian has such an easy panel to update server components with latest fixes and additions for the panel itself and a big extension marketplace fullfill our needs. My favourite is WP Toolkit as it informs us for outdated Wordpress extensions and make it more secure with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Obtaining free ssl (letsencrypt) is just tricky, they should implement an easy one click free ssl button to the panel instead of driving us into SSL menu, i have lost my way on it several times.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk is a perfect choice to manage web servers, has a nice GUI for creating new web hosts , mail hosts, installing new stuff and managing open source scripts like wordpress with it's pretty good extension marketplace. Makes us stay in the browser and with just few clicks we do tons of work without connecting to server on command line. We barely use command line as Plesk gives us nearly all the things we need to run a web server.

  ### 10. Plesk: The best server management platform for Linux

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas F. | CEO, Sports, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I've used a lot of web services in my career but Plesk is a platform that I am not going to let go. Managing hundreds on website instances, configuring servers, generating backups and updating WordPress plugins have never been so easy. It's centralized, secured in the cloud and reliable at all times. Best, we could install our Plesk server within minutes be it with IONOS Cloud or Google Cloud. Customer support is knowledgeable, kind and professional all the way. While we use Plesk daily, our major updrades are quarterly.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Many of the add-ons are costly and it would be appreciated if a subscription package could be made available to get access to all of them at an affordable price.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple websites seamlessly.

  ### 11. Plesk vs. cPanel: Which Hosting Control Panel is Better ?

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mousumi G. | Fashion Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

Plesk is cheap compared to the other control panel for web such as cpannel pleask is fast and the interface it offers is also more easy to understand as compared to the cpanel.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

In the plesk i have always faced problem when transferring a big website the plesk is complex to use when it comes to usase as compared to cpanel and wen transfering a new website to someother hosting it is difficult to do so in plesk

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for the managemet of my website. Plesk helps me to mange my website hosting and adding domains all in one place i can add as many as i want and control nearly everything i need from the Plesk itself. It has the abiltiy to understand what software i am using and suggest updates, security issues every thing can be managed from the dashboard itself. so using plesk makes it easy for me to do my works

Plesk has very simlified interface to manage VPS/Dedicated Server. a non technical person can easily host domain, manage hosting account, install SSL, CMS platforms can be easily configured.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Redirection is not easy, price has suddenly increased a lot, very less and costly antivirus is available in market.

I have a VPS (Linux), using Plesk to manage my hosting, I can easily add domain, add reseller, resource utilisation monitoring is there. all popular SSL is there to intall in easy steps.

  ### 13. Best Control panel for website hosting and servers management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarvanand G. | Sr. Cloud Solutions Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

Domain and hosting management for shared hosting environment. We can manage server and it's resources and it has intuitive interface for management. Customer support is awesome. They resolved the case promptly with RCA

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Regular updates. Required dedicated IT person to manage the website and server.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier we are using IIS and Apache to manage website. It has lots of manual and development complexity. It donot provide a manage way for our shared customer
While using the plesk we get a console to manage website domain customer subscription.

  ### 14. expensive & buggy owned by same company that owns Cpanel

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

it's just ok. when it does have an error you google it and it will always be some 4 year old error thousands of other users have, and you will spend hours trying to get a solution. 8 times out of 10 you will not fix the error.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Buggy, always something going on with it
expensive, and price increases frequently
Owned by same company that owns Cpanel
Security is lacking

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

server and website management

  ### 15. Plesk vs. cPanel: Plesk is a Better Choice for Web For Me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit K. | Sales Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

The Plesk is very simple to use with its design and is easy to navigate, as compared to the other competitor like c panel, it's a bit easy to use as cpanel has old traditional setting still in old look. It also has built-in security features, such as SSL certificate management and automatic malware scanning has a built-in WordPress Toolkit which allows users to manage their WordPress installations directly from the control panel. This includes automatic updates, backups, and security scans and the best and flexible licensing options.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Plesk offers support through its knowledge base, community forums, and paid support plans the database of support is very limited and not easily solvable also i have faced an issue with importing a new website on the hosting, which was little hectic task forme it also requires more server resources than other control panels,

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk has easy-to-use navigation, and it helps me to even use it from my phone wherever i am. It has multi language support and helps my colleague to collaborate to the same. It is easy to have integration with WordPress and so its a good softwae to use

The easy to use control panel and easy-to-navigate interface is the number one reason I suggest Plesk to new comers and people who are just getting started with custom solutions for website hosting.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Some people may find Plesk expensive, and it lacks some advanced features when compared with other WebOps and hosting platforms in the market. Another thing to note is that Plesk does not offer a single site license.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plesk helps us to easily manage our company and client websites with ease. Plesk makes it easy to run and manage websites without having to touch codes often. Overall an easy way to manage multiple websites.

I highly recommend Plesk for a reliable and comprehensive web hosting control panel. It makes managing websites easy

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Nothing much here that I dislike regarding it. For beginners its a bit complex but later when you start using it you wont find it that much complex.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web hosting control panel, Business Emails Creation, WordPress Websites.

  ### 21. Terrible product to use

**Reviewed by:** Sonal G. | Quality Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

It is just an okay kind of service. Customer support is also just okay, not exceptional. Setup was also quite a task in the beginning. Other hosting sites are better.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

It is not very easy to use, moreover, there are issues of slowness and disk space also shows full. Hosting has become more time-consuming and effort taking. The website is slower too.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting the website was our concern when we used Plesk, but it didn't go pretty well for us at least. The website became slower and kept continuously running into problems of memory issues.

  ### 22. It makes web management easy

Also, it supports a lot many extensions based on your use case.

  ### 24. Good and getting better Hosting Panel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I like the simplicity of the hosting panel and in general, the way the interface contains the mostly used functions. Additionally it has been getting much better so I like the way constant updates are being pushed.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Since I was used to using Cpanel instead of plesk sometimes the management tasks are not clear for me. Fortunately, this has gotten better in the past years and I think the improvements to the UI really help.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the fact that other people in my team with less experience with server management can run the regular administration functions for our clients. Also I like the fact that using a UI like the one on Plesk avoids some mistakes that might be done when using CLI / SSH to manage.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to manage the content and multiple websites on a single server without hassle. Apart from this, it supports a cross-platform server operating system and is easy to integrate. Other than that, there is nothing else to complain about. If you are using this then you are technically capalable enough to browse through the options.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

On the whole it's a solid product, but it does have some quirks and can be a little hard to figure out how to perform certain tasks. This is especially true of the type of setting you would normally set once and leave alone.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a provider of web hosting and related VPS's Plesk offers a fairly intuitive interface to what would otherwise be a tedious set of system critical processes.

  ### 48. One of the best web control panels out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshay D. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I've been using Plesk since the day I've made my first website. The option to get Plesk was available for an additional fee when renting my server, and it seemed like an enticing offer. I was surely right! Plesk is an excellent platform for managing a large number of customer websites, including my own set of websites. You can make your own membership plans, limiting or expanding the resources available to each client. The software is simple to use, and it includes all of the necessary capabilities for website hosting management. It also offers the latest PHP versions and also bundles the PHP Composer, which is perfect for bulk updating extensions or add-ons. It makes server administration so easy!

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

While I do not particularly dislike anything, I do wish that it was open-source software. Most, if not all software I use for my websites are open-source, however, Plesk isn't. It really isn't a deal-breaker, however. Another thing I dislike is the fact that many additions require additional licensing. Hundreds of extensions are excellent plugins, however, it would be wonderful if some of them were included in the monthly charge that we already pay when we use Plesk.

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Plesk, I never have to touch the command line anymore or manually upload our web files for each domain. Its UI and dashboard makes it much easier to manage as many websites as you want. I use the Plesk Web Host Edition, which offers unlimited domains for all of this. Plesk allows for many users (such as the other admins in my team) to access and manage the server. Provides good security as well.

  ### 49. Plesk is a great Control Panel!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynne C. | Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

I like having a bit more control over managing my domains from one central area. With Plesk, one can install, moderate, or uninstall extensions, update CMS on their domains, and all from within the Control Panel.

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

Information to help overcome the learning curve is a bit sparse. It would be nice to have videos that help one learn how to use Plesk, vs trial and error or having to search for hours online for an answer. That could be due to my host, so that might be more of a host vs. Plesk issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Plesk:**

Check with your host to see how much support they provide, when you first start using Plesk. Also, make use of the videos on YT that you can find, to help you through the learning curve. Back up EVERYTHING, and be sure to download off-site copies!

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of having to log in/out, in/out to all of my websites and update the CMS and extensions every week, I can easily update extensions and the CMS from Plesk - it's SUCH a great time and frustration saver!

  ### 50. Plesk - more in-depth Control Panel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katrina B. | Owner/Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Plesk?**

With Plesk, I'm able to retain more control over my websites, utilize specific Tools and services, like the WordPress Tookit, and set my websites to automatically update templates, plugins, and CMS systems. That really frees up my time so I can focus on website content!

**What do you dislike about Plesk?**

The learning curve is a bit of a challenge, if you're coming off of Control Panels used by the more popular domain hosting companies. More in-depth videos to help new users learn how to manage specific tools would be useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Plesk:**

Join the Plesk community and ask a lot of questions. Look for videos on YouTube that can show you how to use Plesk, keeping in mind there are multiple versions, so your version might be different. There are several free toolkits and products you can use within Plesk, to manage your websites - check those out first, before using the paid versions, to see how they work for you!

**What problems is Plesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to retain better control of my websites and how they operate, using the Plesk website control panel management system. This frees up my time and allows me to take care of other business activities that need my attention.
