Great for working together on data science projects and managing them **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Lokesh S. | Senior Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026 **What do you like best about PlanZone?** I use PlanZone every day as a Data Scientist to keep track of the timeframes for experiments, manage the processes for model creation, and communicate with the data engineering and product teams to make sure everyone is on the same page. One thing I particularly like is how easy it is to break up big machine learning projects into smaller tasks and make it obvious who is in charge of each one. I use it to keep track of everything from deadlines for preparing data to validating models.The task management and collaboration tools have helped me keep my projects in order while working on more than one at a time. I also enjoy that project discussions, documentation and updates all stay in one place. This makes it easier to stay focused. It has become a reliable place for me to plan and carry out my daily tasks. **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** One problem is that some of the reporting and visualization tools may be better especially for teams that want to do more in-depth project analysis. In some ways I also think the interface might use some updating. The platform is sophisticated but novice users may need some time to get used to some of its more complicated capabilities. **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** PlanZone has helped us work together better on our data science projects and Before utilizing it tracking experiments and project dependencies was generally done by hand across spreadsheets and communications that made it tougher to keep track of progress. I now use PlanZone to keep track of the stages of model development, coordinate sprint tasks for data projects and keep everyone on the same page about what needs to be done. For instance I utilized it to keep track of data prep chores, model testing checkpoints, and deployment handoffs across teams on one predictive modeling project. This helped us prevent delays and make delivery more efficient. It has made it more easier and more reliable for me to manage my projects. ### 2. They provide me with a snapshot of the amount of work completed on the projects, as well as the workload of the team. Because it’s easy to see bottlenecks and to check priorities, the latter is better for managing work. **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** The only problem is that uploading larger files often takes a long time and an external collaborator will have to download the files from google’s servers. This makes me to use outside cloud storage and switch between links that are unbecoming for my working style. **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** I manage my projects effectively through the use of PlanZone. This has the ability to let me assign tasks to my staff, show deadlines and track them, as well as, work with my team simultaneously. It also makes everyone responsible and helps to avoid stagnation of projects. ### 3. It also becomes easy to allocate responsibilities, monitor achievements or lack of it and ensure that everyone is on par. **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** The reporting functionality of PlanZone is rather limited. I am not able to create reports with focus on the timelines, the resources to be used in the projects, or the budgets to be followed. **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the help of PlanZone, our team leads have advanced in the organization of their work and in the management of the performed tasks. The to-do lists and dashboards make sure everybody stays informed and assigning is hassle-free. ### 4. It is a bit easy to use once you have slight knowledge to use it! You can easily learn how to use it by attending some webinar or maybe on youtube **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** There's nothing much to dislike about this app but It can be improved! First of all, it's a cloud-based app so you can expect latency in typing and management (according to me). **Recommendations to others considering PlanZone:** Yea it's good u can give it a try. It helps u organize your tasks very effectively **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Plan zone is a great app for task management and not only limited to ones-self but also the whole team! It also has free trial available. It has 24/7 support available via chat, phone and email. Traing can be done through webinars, online, in person, Documentation and videos. **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** Though it has a free trial, it offers no free version. Its pricing is relatively high as per other solutions available in the market; that is what I feel. It is a cloud, SaaS, and web-based application which does not support desktop or mobile devices. **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use PlanZone to collaborate and quickly manage and find information related to work. PlanZone helps you tomanage project with time tracking feature. we manage task through it that what should we be doing, what are others doing, are we behind, on time, ahead like that. We invite our clients on this platform so that they could follow the progress of the work. I found it very simple and responsive tool. ### 6. Schedule tasks, the resources you will use, including milestones, and manage documents, multimedia files and links, so you can have an overview of the entire project cycle. **What do you dislike about PlanZone?** Nothing, I'm very happy with this manager and project manager **What problems is PlanZone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used it to manage two important marketing projects for us, because we needed the participation of the work team but also the active participation of our customers and suppliers, were projects that covered marketing in all areas of social media and two events of great magnitude. We loved working with this software since the execution was simultaneous, and required the participation of more than 100 people to execute the communications strategy and logistics.
