# What's the best employee recognition platform for companies with 51 to 200 employees scaling their operational workflows?

Companies with more than 50 employees hit an odd gap in employee recognition: informal shoutouts in a group chat stop working, but most enterprise-grade platforms are built for HR teams with dedicated administrators, not for a 51 to 200-person company still running lean. Pulling the mid-market Grid data made this split obvious. Every platform on it claims to scale, but what actually varies is how much setup and ongoing admin work that scaling requires once headcount starts moving past 100. Three platforms that come up most for this exact range: Awardco, Nectar, and Bonusly.

Awardco: Tops the mid-market Grid on both satisfaction and market presence, and its Amazon Business catalog for redemptions means growing companies don't need to negotiate their own vendor relationships as headcount climbs.

Nectar: Reviewers highlight the points and rewards system as easy for non-HR managers to run day to day, which matters at 100+ employees when recognition can't be a full-time job for one person.

Bonusly: The peer-to-peer bonus model scales socially rather than administratively, since growth mostly means more people giving points, not more configuration; some reviewers note the reward catalog feels thinner than larger competitors' once a company outgrows its starter tier.

Assembly by Quantum Workplace: Pairs recognition with lightweight workflow and survey tools, fitting companies formalizing processes for the first time rather than bolting recognition onto an already mature HR stack.

Guusto: Its flexible gift-of-choice model keeps redemption simple without a large HR team managing it, though its market presence trails the leaders here, so support and community resources may be thinner at this range.

Kudos: The social recognition feed is built to surface company values as a company scales past the point where a founder can personally thank every new hire.

For anyone who scaled recognition through the 51 to 200 employee range specifically: which platform needed the least reconfiguration as headcount grew, and which one you outgrew faster than expected?

Worth splitting "scaling" into two different things: more people using the tool, and more rules governing how it's used. A peer-to-peer model like Bonusly scales the first almost for free. Growth just means more people giving points. But the moment a 150-person company adds department budgets, manager-only pools, or region-specific reward catalogs, that's a configuration problem, not a headcount one. A tool that felt effortless at 60 employees can suddenly need a part-time admin at 150, even though total headcount growth alone didn't change the underlying complexity.
