I used PhotoAid to get a photo for my official document and I'm very satisfied with the service. The printed photo arrived quickly by mail, was excellent quality, and fully met all the requirements. I used PhotoAid for canadian passport photos because they said they "follow all the guidelines". Well, it wasn't until I was about to send them off that I looked at the guidelines.

The first requirement is that Canadian passport photos MUST be taken in person by a legitimate photographer. Obviously this is not the case with this service.

When I approached them about it, here's what Barbara, their customer service person said...

"our photos are meticulously inspected by biometric experts to ensure they meet all necessary standards. Additionally, we've had numerous satisfied customers from Canada who have successfully utilized our services in spite of the requirement mentioned."

So, basically she assured me that they help Canadian passport applicants commit fraud all the time!

The best part is that on their website they say "100% acceptable or a money back guarantee". Nope, they won't give me a refund.

I really like PhotoAiD's ability to enhance and restore old photos. It can bring life to old photos, and have them look really fresh and vibrant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I paid to do a photo for an Australian passport. When submitted the photo was rejected by the passport office. I paid a second time to have another photo taken and that was also rejected! I have been trying to get a refund for both photos but have been unsuccessful so far! They seriously suggested I just take a photo myself and submit it and they will fix it !
