I've been using Perso AI for a while and originally subscribed to their so-called “unlimited” plan — which was never truly unlimited to begin with. The limit was 5 videos per day, up to 15 minutes each, but I accepted that and kept using the platform.
However, things got significantly worse. About a week ago, Perso AI changed all subscription plans overnight, even for customers who were still under active, paid plans. They sent a last-minute maintenance notice, claiming the update would bring “better pricing and improved functionality.”
What actually happened was the complete opposite.
My plan was downgraded to only 120 minutes of fast dubbing, and after those credits run out, they supposedly offer “unlimited” dubbing in “legend speed.” But there is nothing unlimited about it. Once the credits are gone, you can only dub 5-minute videos, and only once every 6 hours.
How is that unlimited in any possible definition?
The new system is a massive downgrade — easily 1000% worse than the previous structure. It feels like a total disregard and lack of respect for existing customers who supported the platform early on. Instead of honoring the original plan or grandfathering old users, they imposed restrictions that make the service nearly unusable.
I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Transparency and customer respect should be a priority, especially in a subscription-based product. Unfortunately, the way Perso AI managed this update has made me lose trust in the platform.

Reducing fast-dubbing credits to a fixed pool, then gating the remaining usage behind speed tiers, video-length caps, and multi-hour cooldowns made the product unpredictable and, as you said, impractical for real work.
You’re also right to challenge the use of the word “unlimited.” When “unlimited” still means 5-minute caps and 6-hour waits, the issue isn’t semantics—it’s that the experience no longer matches how a professional user reasonably expects to work. From that perspective, your reaction is completely understandable.
Most importantly, we acknowledge that applying these changes to active, paid subscriptions—without proper grandfathering or a clear opt-in path—felt like a disregard for early customers who supported the platform before it matured. That loss of trust is on us.
While the intent behind the update was to improve long-term sustainability and system stability, we recognize that the impact on users like you was the opposite.
