## Comet Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Summarization with Conversational Depth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurag S. | RLHF Generalist, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

I use Comet mainly for summarizing information from the web without going through multiple tabs. The built-in assistant is the highlight of Comet, providing all the brief about the query without moving to the search engine. It feels more like having a conversation than doing a search, as I can simply ask follow-up questions and it keeps the context. The fact that it cites sources is helpful, allowing me to easily verify information instead of just taking it at face value. I also use Comet with WhatsApp Web, and it helps by providing a summarized response without me needing to read the entire shared resource. The initial setup was easy, as I just followed the steps and the setup was super simple.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Sometimes the answer feels a bit too summarized and misses some details. It would be great if there was an option to go deeper on a topic without asking multiple follow-up questions.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Comet for summarizing information from the web without switching tabs. It provides quick summaries and feels like having a conversation, keeping context with follow-up questions.

  ### 2. Powerful AI Browsing, But Battery Drain and Learning Curve Can Get in the Way

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beryl B. | self-employed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

My favorite Comet features are the built-in AI assistant, smart search, and instant summaries, which help me skip endless scrolling and noisy tabs. It reduces my research time by answering questions directly in the browser, comparing pages for me, and drafting replies or notes on the fly—so I spend less time clicking around and more time actually getting things done.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

I find that it's battery and data is a lot because it’s an AI‑powered browser constantly processing pages and queries, it can chew through battery and mobile data faster than a normal browser.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem Comet solves for me is information overload and the time I waste while browsing. I benefit because it reduces tab clutter, cuts down my research time, and—my favorite part—makes writing and replying easier.

  ### 3. Innovative AI Browser, but Freezes and Chat Stalls Over Time

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonidas R. | Network Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

At the beginning, it felt really good. The response time was amazing, and the AI-powered browser software integration made it feel innovative.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Performance issues. I’ve been using it regularly for about 7 months, and lately I’ve started noticing that the browser begins to freeze. After a while, the AI chat gets stuck and stops responding, so you have to open a new tab and start all over again. Sometimes opening a new chat doesn’t work either, and you end up having to restart the browser.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The opportunity to use search prompts and be more efficient with my internet searches.

  ### 4. Comet: Fast, Free Agentic AI Browser with a Solid macOS UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu J. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

Comet was one of the first of its kind. The idea of an agentic AI browser sounds great on paper, and at the start it really was that good. The UI on macOS is definitely solid, and it feels like a fast agentic browser that’s available for free.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

The UI on phone. It really is so bad thar I can't understand anything in there, it also has an issue that after constant use the ai felt a lot less powerful than it used to be

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Comet is solving the tasks like automating the web browsing and grabbing something before any human can do, it's benefitting me as it helps me get a lot of stuffs whenever they're available.

  ### 5. A Favorite Browser: Built-In AI Assistant That Boosts Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Troy H. | Entrepreneur / Real Estate Agent, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

I love the built-in browser AI assistant, which can run autonomous tasks and make my work more efficient. Comet works alongside my Perplexity login and is available on desktop and Android, with iOS coming soon. I signed up on the iOS App Store to be notified when it launches. I’ve used Comet to help with spreadsheets, run searches, and support building my website, among other things—it’s a great tool.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Comet runs on the Chromium engine, so you can use Chrome extensions with it. The biggest downside for me is the credit limitation: if you use it a lot, it will let you know. The settings take a little time to get used to, but once you do, it’s easily my favorite browser by far.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improves my efficiency when browsing and helps speed up my workflow. Since I use multiple AI tools, if I run out of tokens on one, I can simply switch to another and keep going.

  ### 6. Comet, Perplexity, browser on steroids!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Customer Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

Comet has truly transformed the way I work, browse, and conduct research. It’s by far the most adaptable browser assistant I’ve encountered. I rely on it daily for a wide range of tasks, from in-depth business research and market analysis to shopping, reading reviews, and comparing product specifications. It even played a role in helping me choose my most recent phone.

One of the standout features is how seamlessly it operates across all my devices. Using Comet on my phone feels just as robust and capable as on my desktop. The assisted browser mode delivers the information I need instantly, without unnecessary steps. This kind of immediate access helps me stay ahead.

It’s also incredibly user-friendly. Multitasking is effortless and stress-free. Whether I’m looking into a product, organizing a project, or handling SEO work, Comet integrates smoothly into my workflow. It manages everything from quick fact-checks to more advanced tasks like batch processing. Plus, it interacts directly with live websites, emails, and documents to extract exactly what I need, saving me a significant amount of time.

Thanks to Perplexity, and the integration with other major AI tools like Claude Sonnet 4.5, GPT-5, Grok 4, and Gemini 2.5, I can explore the world of AI and run comparison tests with ease.

I’m grateful to have had early access, as I’ve watched Comet evolve and improve. It understands my needs and adapts to assist me, which is crucial when I require fast, accurate, and clear answers. By combining web search, memory, and real-time document tools, Comet is much more than a browser—it’s a comprehensive productivity solution.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Honestly, I have very few complaints. The software offers a wide range of features, which means it takes some time to learn how to use everything effectively. However, this complexity is also what gives it so much power. If I could ask for one improvement, it would be for even better phone integration to make managing workflows while on the move easier.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this stage, Comet has become my primary tool for handling business tasks, content creation, shopping, and research. It enables me to automate processes, explore new ideas, and complete my work efficiently, all without the hassle of switching between multiple apps or losing track of my progress. Both Perplexity and Comet Assistant are consistently available and ready to assist. The access to real-time information allows me to act quickly and make informed decisions. Whether I’m working solo, collaborating with a team, or simply keeping organized, Comet has become an essential part of my daily routine. It truly lives up to its reputation as a “browser on steroids.”

  ### 7. An efficient AI-powered browser that speeds up research and browsing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prajwal G. | Jr. Network Engineer, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

What I like best about Comet is its seamless AI integration within the browsing experience. It makes searching faster by providing concise, relevant answers directly in the browser, which reduces the need to open multiple tabs and improves overall productivity.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

As a newer browser, Comet still lacks some advanced features and customization options found in more mature browsers. Extension support is limited, and there can be occasional performance inconsistencies depending on the type of query or workload.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Comet helps reduce time spent searching and filtering information by combining browsing with AI-powered answers and summaries. It simplifies research and everyday browsing by providing relevant context quickly, which helps me work more efficiently and stay focused without jumping between multiple tools or tabs.

  ### 8. Step-by-Step Learning Reinforced with Smart Suggestions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham V. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

I appreciate how the platform allows you to study in a step-by-step, procedural manner while also providing an overview and helpful suggestions to deepen your understanding. It reinforces your learning by actively questioning your comprehension, ensuring that you truly grasp the material.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Yes, it does have a unique structure. However, even on the free tier, there is room for improvement, similar to what you find with Edge or Chrome. Still, it maintains an advantage thanks to its underlying AI engine.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The way it researches and collects data and references makes it a superior search engine. It understands your needs and context, providing relevant and accurate real-world information from the internet. This approach helps avoid hallucinations.

  ### 9. Speeds Up Daily Tasks with Impressive Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincenzo Bernardino R. | Marketing Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

It speeds up a lot of activities that I normally perform from a broswer like searching information in web pages and videos.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

I don't dislike anything in particular, I guess it's still new so it needs to be polished, sometimes the interface is slow or not responsive but is minimal bugs on an otherwise solid product.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to skim through websites and videos to find relevant information while working, Comet does it seamlessly with an inbuilt assistant that never disappoint. As a busy person, often multitasking, Comet saves me a lot of time, sometimes hours on a daily base.

  ### 10. Seamless AI Browsing with Solid Answers and Summaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil Sharief D. | student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Comet?**

Comet blends AI and browsing seamlessly, giving me solid answers and summarising things as I browse the web.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

Comet’s AI is still fairly new, and it can be inconsistent at times, especially when handling multi-step tasks.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Comet solved the hassle of switching back and forth between my browser and AI tools, which makes it easier to gather information quickly and move straight into action-oriented tasks.

  ### 11. Handy browser assistant that handles multi-step web tasks for me

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

The browser automation feature has truly transformed my workflow. With Comet, I can delegate complex tasks such as filling out forms, navigating through websites, and extracting data—tasks that would otherwise take me a significant amount of time to complete by hand. I am especially impressed by how well it manages multi-step processes, like conducting research across several tabs and then compiling the findings. The integration with Perplexity's search also adds a lot of value, allowing me to find accurate information efficiently without needing to switch between different tools.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

At times, the software can be somewhat slow when processing complex pages filled with dynamic content. Additionally, I would appreciate improved support for handling CAPTCHAs. Whenever I encounter one, I have to solve it manually, which interrupts the automation process. It would be helpful to have a notification or pause feature to better manage these situations.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a software developer and founder, I often find myself bogged down by repetitive browser tasks such as researching competitors, filling out forms for different services, and collecting data from various sources. Comet takes care of all these tasks for me. Rather than spending half an hour on manual research, I simply describe what I need, and it handles the tedious work. It truly feels like having an assistant who understands the web and can navigate it intelligently.

  ### 12. Perplexity Browser (Comet) Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kian K. | Digital Marketing Consultant - Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

Honestly the best Web Browser I've used thus far, faster than chrome, and integratable with it, while giving you the best part, a fully AI powered browser, that has deep-research capabilities and also works as an assistant, that can schedule meetings, control your screen, do reports on CRMs for example, and browse different tabs to get context and comprehensive understanding

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

It doesn't seem to know how to send Emails properly, always doesn't put a recipient.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves me a bunch of time on research, manual admin tasks, and also by creating CRM reports on auto-pilot while I grab a coffee, or a snack.

  ### 13. Comprehensive Search Results Make Research Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Comet?**

Receiving aggregated search results in a Perplexity AI report is quite useful. It allows me to see a comprehensive overview of information gathered from various sources, making it easier to understand the topic at a glance.

**What do you dislike about Comet?**

This browser still has some evolving to do as an AI browser before it could be widely accepted, similar to how Google is used as a search engine.

**What problems is Comet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not sure what specific problems Comet addresses.
