I love how easy it is to use, honestly. We did not even have a training session and we all basically understood how it works. Everything from applying the leave, to approval and calculation of the leaves left is available on the slack app. You can also see how many people are on leave in your team or even your entire company. The fact that Pause makes it so easy to apply as well as approve leave through slack is super cool. We can even check who all are on leave within the team and across (as per our commands to the Pause bot) is really helpful in figuring out meeting schedules. Absolutely love how it sends a decline note to all my meetings whenever I'm on leave. - It doesn't allow to edit leave type once it has been submitted (I had accidentally pressed 'Birthday leave' instead of casual and sent it, and it was approved, but I could not edit the leave type later, so the manager had to cancel the leave and I re-applied)
- It doesn't have a compulsory option to give a reason for leave and gets misused sometimes by the team. As managers, we would need to know the reason for a leave.
- There's no need for an alert if no one's on leave. (when integrated with Slack)
- There's an option that team should fill their bdays and date of joining but that too is optional. Again as managers to celebrate the occasions, we'd like to have this information handy and therefore made compulsory to be filled for easy alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pause makes managing and staying up to date with time off from work easy and transparent. I like the way the Pause bot sounds, they are pretty chill and laid back.
