Also, integrations work good but they have the same issue about organization and granularity. It has been down numerous times in the past few years leaving people stranded without being able to access there passwords/documentation/authenticators. Documentation templates are difficult to create and not easy to structure. You're able to store the shared credential in a company vault or in a client profile, and anyone can pull up the 2FA code. Gone are the insecure days of leaving 2FA disabled or having it tied to a manager's phone, which the tech would have to wait for them to be able to sign in! **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** I dislike that you can't link a credential as a shortcut in multiple areas in PassPortal, where only one credential is used to manage multiple sites. You either have to put the credential in the company vault or make redundant copies for each client site, which would become a pain to manage when it's time to change passwords. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem is that our passwords have been insecurely stored in spreadsheets for the longest time because we couldn't find a password manager solution that's able to fit our needs at an organizational level. Passportal has been making it easier to forget all our passwords (except for PassPortal of course). ### 20. There were plug-ins for the top browsers, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. This plug-in allowed me to save passwords within my password vault for my frequently used sites with ease. I also loved the fact that it integrated with our remote connection tool Take Control. This feature would allow me and my staff to remote into servers and select the password for the user or admin account from within the Passportal Take Control plug-in. **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** I did not care for the documentation piece of the N-Able Passportal. It had the feel of just being thrown together quickly without much thought to the end-users. The search features were clunky. I would not recommend the N-Able Passportal for documentation purposes. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made the staff more efficient and secure. We no longer have to ask one another or search tirelessly for passwords. I also love the integration with Windows. I do like that I can connect it to take control and have it auto fill passwords for my servers. This makes it easy to manage multiple servers for different clients without having to worry about opening an excel sheet. I am happy that I am able to store them in one place and have them encrypted. **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** It is hard to trouble shoot passportal issues. For example, we have a server that will not take the passportal autofill password. We updated the agent and verified it is up to date. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the best features is the ability to publish articles that provide customers with how to guides to help resolve their issues on their own. This helps cut down on staff being tied up on the phones with the customer and enables them to handle a higher volume of calls. This also reduces the wait time for the customer and helps them resolve simple issues much faster. ### 29. Anytime there is a staff change and you have to change the passwords out, Passportal does all the work for you. You give it the new passwords and it will change it anywhere it is being used. Even in scheduled tasks, SQL jobs, etc. You can keep all your documentation on here as well, and invite others to it, or share it openly with your standard users, for How-to documents. **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** Would be nice if you could use the document center to create a easy knowledge base for your users. At the moment you have to have a separate link for each document. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have clients keeping all admin level and service accounts and passwords in plain text documents. The ability to automatically rotate passwords on a set schedule, or when an employee leaves, and have it update AD with the new one, is an amazing time saver and must have for any MSP. **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** While the AD integration is great, the other passwords are currently handled manually. I would love to see the ability to rotate firewall, switch, etc. passwords in a similar way. **Recommendations to others considering N-able Passportal:** This is a must have for any MSP. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automatic rotation for client security. The product appears to be very easy to manage, and implement. **What do you dislike about N-able Passportal?** I have not discovered any part of PassPortal that I dislike. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** Peace of mind that client passwords are not being shared, and mitigating the risk greatly that non-authorized users are accessing devices. ### 38. We're also having issues with having our org passwords show up in the chrome extenstion. **What problems is N-able Passportal solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're solving a security issue of sharing a lot of logins for company accounts. Previously, some passwords were stored in spreadsheets or similar.
