Also, their documentation is excellent and it helps the implementation a breeze. **What do you dislike about Passage by 1Password?** I have not found anything I dislike about the passkey implementation(Passage) by 1Password till now. **What problems is Passage by 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?** We really liked the security and ease of use of passkeys and hence we were looking for a solution that would help us implement passkey functionality without use needing to write/create a custom solution and this was when we found Passage and we have been using it since. It has helped us implement the functionality really quite easily and has not had a problem till date. ### 5. The major incumbents tend to have plenty of documentation that doesn't tell you anything. It was while I was looking into setting up webauthn from scratch that I stumbled upon Passage. I was up and running in about ten minutes. It did exactly what it said on the box. Passage pairs extremely well with dexie-cloud. Even though the latter ships with its own auth system, that system isn't as privacy-aware as passage. I was nervous about migrating my users from one system to the other, but it was practically seamless. **What do you dislike about Passage by 1Password?** As you would expect for such a young product, the SDKs are a bit immature. **What problems is Passage by 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?** Auth is hard. I come from the days where a username and password in a database were all you needed, but now we know it's not so simple. Passage comes from a company that knows all about security, and they abstract away the complexity. It doesn't matter how many devices your user logs in from or what their e-mail address is. You drop the widget in and away it goes. ### 6. Because Passage is owned and branded by 1Password, the login form has brand recognition which helps with customers who are wary about the idea of passwordless login. The actual customer experience is very simple too, OS/device issues notwithstanding. **What do you dislike about Passage by 1Password?** The only issue at the moment is that customers are not necessarily yet familiar with the concept of passwordless login, and the OS support for it is fragmented, which can be confusing. **What problems is Passage by 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simplifies the handling of passwords in our backend infra ### 8. It took very little time to get up and running and the pricing is fair in our opinion. The team is also extremely responsive to feedback. In fact, we had a feature request enabled for us in <24 hours! **What do you dislike about Passage by 1Password?** There is a limited amount of things that can be customized at this time. I found the that the passage-ruby gem didn't live up to the expectations set by other auth gems in the ruby ecosystem. Specifically when testing auth for a rails application required some custom code. Considering how early I adopted passage-ruby that was understandable and the production experience made up for it. **What problems is Passage by 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?** I built an application that used passkeys as the sole authentication mechanism. The passage-ruby gem made this straightforward and easy. ### 10.
