I used this tool for a regional sales dashboard and I confirm that it is one of the most collaborative BI tool I have ever used.

What I extremly appreciate is that the tool is easy to use , with a simple click , you can import Data from multple sources and build Visualisations , It's very intuitive and very good for interactive analytics.

Panorama-Necto have an excellent In memory performance.

Panorama-Necto does not have support for Linux or commodity hardware

The Big data Technology support is very limited.

We have been looking for a convenient platform for the integration of our data in the region. Unfortunately, all found variants did not suit us with their capabilities or their price. We think, that Panorama Necto will be best choice, at least for today. But it did not meet expectations. Despite its cheapness, it is still crude and unsuitable tools for the real needs. We have a mature data warehouse and a few OLAP cubes built on top of it and now we are looking for the best front-end tools for our business users. The goal is to get some load off the IT and BI development team and provide the end-users with the tool for self service BI. We have been evaluating a couple of the solutions present on the market and Necto has caught our attentions because of some great innovative features.

We were thrilled with the capability to collaborate with other users utilizing social features such as the ability to subscribe to users, initiate context-based discussions and search for users and relevant content within the system.

Also, Necto will automatically identify exception in your data, such as drops in revenue, lack of inventory etc. and offer automated insights and potential root causes. A user can define a threshold to determine when a data point is considered an exception and an exclamation mark or other warning symbol will appear in cell when the data falls within this definition.

One of the features that is expected for tools of this kind, but is very basic in some of the products, is the ability to extract the data from multiple sources. It is available in Necto and it offers a wide range of data sources such as Microsoft SQL Server, OLAP cubes, Oracle, Teradata, Salesforce etc and add data from Excel spreadsheets and flat files as well.

Infographics are a great and unique feature. For me, they are a new, enhanced version of KPIs. Users can create their own infographics or choose from the existing.

Support for mobile devices is very good and it allows the same look and feel in all devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile phone) which is great for the companies that have users who travel a lot and are often in the field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not compatible with Macs and not supported for Blackberry.

Does not support multiple languages.

Needs more support for predictive and forecast analysis.

As there are many BI tools in market now-a-days but Panorama Necto 14 stands with an exceptionally outstanding features and user friendly configuration setup, which is an important key factor for BI developers and data experts in current scenario. I personally use this tool for designing my reports, dashboards, scatters, bloxplot, charts, graphs and many more. My team and I both feel that Necto has created a remarkable benchmark in area of BI tools and services.

When you talk about BI, all you mostly care about data and its visualization. The reports tell a lot about how, when, where and why the things are happening around and which can directly impact you business, so it is very important to be precise, accurate and presentable.

Necto 14 is one of the BI tools fulfilling all the current business expectations of an organization and as well as customers in better data visualization, effective analysis, interactive dashboards and meaningful outcomes. Necto 14 has also good features of working over multiple databases like SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase etc which make it more scalable and flexible to process and manage you data throughout different data platforms. Also user can interact, share, and discuss various dashboard and info graphics data.

Product Support is not that good as expected, hope they are working to make it better.

Necto-15 is a real visual treat. I am basically a data visualization expert and recently got introduced Necto-15. It is real amazing to see such a collaborative self-service BI tool hosted over web which caters to almost all requirements and expectations one can have pertaining to quick data visualization. I have had the opportunity to work with multiple data visualization tools but Necto-15 experience is entirely different. It has a very intuitive interface making it easier to understand how to use the interface and the best thing is that it is all drag and drop. I loved the features of managing everything including the development, over a centralized hosting platform.

It was real stunning to see how this product can understand various aspects of data, can categorize data types and apply the fitting treatments on the data. Really an excel to a dashboard in a few clicks. Simply superb. The visual appeal is amazing and the dashboards really look amazing. It has great color combination and enhanced visualizations such as map features etc. which makes it stand apart.

As someone whose job profile and work demands relate to evaluation and exhaustive comparison of various BI Tools, I would like to point out the below mentioned features of Panorama which makes it a forerunner:

1) The ease of use of Panorama is the striking feature which reduces the training cost drastically (Note: Users should have any prior experience in BI Tool)

2) Excellent support for report and dashboard creation involving maps (geo analytic)

3) Intuitive and interactive analytic.

4) Pretty stable platform to integrate multiple and disparate source systems.

5) A run for value for money for small and mid level BI Applications.

As a new tool to the BI Landscape, things which can be improved on is as follows:

1) With the growing popularity and usage of this BI Tool, support communities and forums should grow, which I think is less as of now.

2) With the advent of the Big Data platform, next versions should consider integration of Panorama to Hadoop landscape.

Necto Inforgraphs allow to represent data as per different conditions and based on different rules. It comes with graphic designer that allows me to use any graphs includes my own graphs too. You can add Info graphics to any filed and can connect to data source easily. You can also customize it according to your need.
