Necto has powerful infographic support and it makes it easy to create and modify datasources on the fly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Panorama Necto? There are several technical bugs and limitations. The Necto formula feature is very useful, but with moderate sized data, the Necto server will time out with the most basic formulas. I would like to use exception highlighting for example, but I know it won't work with my data. I like the flexibility of the product - its ability to handle multiple data sources and to combined them into a single view of "the world" that can build complex analytics & reporting. The online tools (youtube etc) aren't being kept up to date with the product releases. It doesn't give you confidence in the product when this kind of collateral is a couple of releases behind. I needed to take log file data from an application, combine it with infrastucture data and then present it back to a cusomer using a hosted application. Panorama Necto is a very powerful tool. What we like most about this product, is the ease of use of it, as users familiarize themselves with it very quickly. The ability to create and share workboards with colleagues is also a very good feature. Formulae and exceptions are also very powerful features that Panorama Necto has. Panorama Necto is very Business-oriented BI system, comparing with other Data Discovery tools like Tableau and Qlik. Necto has inherited legacy of OLAP, in both functions of product itself and consulting resources of subject-matter experts, and has high capability to build BI system to help problem solving and management in ordinary businesses. 2. Panorama Necto can create Necto model with ease out of raw data and transactions and it provides you with excellent adaptability against new challenging tasks. 3. It can add splendid visual appearance on the Dashboard with infographics(IGs). Panorama is a pioneer to apply IG representation for BI system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Though it can connect any types of data source it needs SQL server for analysis engine and it might be cons for the users of open-source DB like PostgreSQL or MySQL. For example, demografic and usage analysis of customers and simulating profitability using reservation data for golf course management system.
