I like that OutSail helps evaluate HRIS options, ensuring the systems integrate well with our existing software and align well with our stated needs. OutSail was recommended to me within 2 different HR Slack communities. I was able to quickly connect with the founder, Brett, who provided evaluation support fitting our lean team's criteria. I was able to meet 1x1 with a member of their team to discuss what was not working with our current vendor and what we needed in a new provider. After the call, they distilled our conversation into a scorecard format and populated it with vendors within the space that aligned with our stated criteria. This report card template was easy to read and documented everything needed to ensure our compliance team was ept up to speed on our evaluation. Additionally, their deep expertise in the market also provided us with insight into what to expect in terms of fair pricing, which was extremely helpful throughout the negotiation process. Using OutSail made our evaluation process clearer and more efficient. The team was consultative and knowledgeable, never pushing paid services, and their documentation was essential for future audits. They supported us through vendor negotiations, ensuring fair pricing. They asked thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions that pushed us to examine whether we were framing problems and requirements the right way. There wasn’t anything I disliked about working with OutSail. The only consideration is that adding an external partner requires intentional coordination and communication to keep everyone aligned.
