Oracle PaaS provides a comprehensive selection of ready-to-use services, including Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle API Platform, Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle Process Automation, and Oracle Analytics Cloud. The platform’s autonomous capabilities, such as self-patching, auto-scaling, self-tuning, and automated backups with lifecycle management, significantly reduce the need for manual intervention. Integration with on-premises systems is straightforward, and the platform offers deep connectivity across the Oracle ecosystem. I find it easy to use and implement, and the customer support is very strong—you will collaborate directly with the Oracle team. I rely on Oracle Cloud PaaS daily for development, monitoring, integration, and managing our cloud environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Estimating costs can be challenging, as the pricing structure for certain PaaS components—such as Integration, Process Automation, and Analytics—can be confusing, particularly when there are unexpected spikes in usage. Additionally, the integration between some services could be improved, as it sometimes lacks the seamlessness one might expect. Setting up and configuring some PaaS services can also be complex, often involving several steps to properly handle networking, security, and integration, which may be overwhelming for newcomers. Although OCI offers robust monitoring overall, some PaaS tools only provide basic or limited monitoring dashboards, which means additional setup is often necessary.
