Plenty of 'clever' xsl programming is possible on BI publisher which can give a nice finished product on paper, little else. The additional ability of BI publisher is to be able to send different 'views' of the same report (called 'bursting') to differenet users. For example sending a sales report by region to several regional sales managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Oracle BI Publisher? Practically no flexibility in terms of dynamic reporting views on a webpage. The reports from BI Publisher are mostly static and does not provide the same seamless experience as regular OBIEE does, which makes it appear as a loosely integrated product.
