What do you like best about Optimole?
As a website owner, it was important for me to optimize my website for the best performance with Images being a critical part of the setup.
Optimole is an ideal candidate for my needs. Their easy to use dashboard is ideal to track performance, billing, and more. In addition, I love their WordPress integration. As a WordPress website owner, setting up their entire service was a piece of cake thanks to their plugin.
It helped me implement WEBP (A modern image format that is faster than JPG with better image quality.). The effortless conversion of all my old PNG/JPGs massively reduced file sizes.
Lazyload also optimised the TTFB for my site improving my overall performance scores on Google Page Speed Insights.
One feature, I particularly love about Optimole is Watermarks. As a site with lots of User Generated Content, I frequently need to ensure my Content is not stolen. With Optimole I can add watermark to all my images making them tracable and more detectable.
In case of site migrations or downtime, I can quickly download all my existing images on Optimole Server as a ZIP file.
My website server is located in India, but our audience is global. So, their global CDN network ensures that my images are cached in servers across the globe, and the user gets the images served from the nearest server saving time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Optimole?
While the API and plugins are quite robust, it is still a complicated tool. Without proper knowledge of various performance parameters and technical terms. On the cost side as well, its bit on the expensive side. I use a Shared WordPress hosting, so the Optimole is way too expensive for me. Though, it is the best, it is not exactly a good value for money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
