Microfocus (then HP) came as top based on the features in ALM (Test management interface) and UFT (for development of test scripts) What I liked while using Microifcus ALM and UFT is it was very developer-friendly and could handle the library in the script and had strong integration with SAP. The output of the script as results were also clear. **What do you dislike about Opentext functional Testing for Developers?** Automation Scripts that were created in UFT relied on specific Data and there was not much support for automating data supply. Further, it required long hours of installation due to lot many pre-requisites. It uses VB Script which is quite easy to understand and learn. It uses VBScript. VBScript does not have good rich features as a programming language. 2. The Community or support for UFT is very minimal nowadays. Mainly for legacy applications. It provides well security and reporting with its IDE. You can customize your report and analyze loopholes within the system.
