The main appeal was the possibility of connecting with freight opportunities through a platform designed for transportation companies. However, after paying $950 and using the service, we did not book a single load. Unfortunately, I cannot identify any significant benefits that justified the subscription cost, particularly given the outdated-looking software and our experience with the company's billing and cancellation policies. What I dislike most about Omnitracs Sylectus is the outdated software, expensive subscription, and extremely frustrating cancellation process.
The platform feels years behind modern freight and logistics software. The interface looks outdated, and the overall user experience does not justify the $350 monthly subscription in my opinion.
Our trucking company paid $950, including the setup fee, and did not book a single load through the platform. We were extremely disappointed with the value we received.
The biggest problem, however, has been the contract and cancellation process. Although we signed a 12-month agreement, shorter subscription options were discussed during the original sales conversation. When we later requested cancellation following a change in company ownership, Sylectus refused to waive or reduce the early termination charge.
On October 8, 2026, we were quoted $3,850 to cancel, supposedly representing 11 remaining months at $350 each. We disputed that calculation because our subscription began in July.
We also requested a copy of the original sales-call recording after a representative said he had reviewed it, but we have not received it.
Despite repeated communications and escalation to management, the dispute remains unresolved. We have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and Michigan Attorney General.
For small trucking companies, I would strongly recommend carefully reviewing the entire contract, cancellation provisions, and total financial commitment before signing up.
Based on our experience, the software and service were not worth the financial commitment, and I would not recommend Sylectus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
