They’re constantly upgrading the platform and making improvements, and it’s very user-friendly. Right from month-end close, expense categorization, AP and AR reviews, to reconciliations, most of our financial procedures have been smooth since onboarding. The setup didn’t take long to click, and once it did, the skills just fit into how we already worked. The ease of navigation is what stands out most for me. Results are always on point and give you space to actually review and check them, rather than just handing you an answer and expecting you to trust it blindly. I’ve used AI tools before, but the level of specificity to accounting firms is something I’ve only seen with OCTA Flow. **What do you dislike about OCTA Flow?** I haven’t faced any major issues with OCTA Flow so far. It would be good to have a way to leave notes and remarks that other team members can also view and customize. Not a blocker, just a good-to-have. **What problems is OCTA Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?** OCTA Flow is definitely solving the problem of having to juggle multiple files and systems, along with the manual process that came with it. It’s easier to navigate, give prompts, and get results. I’d say the biggest benefit is reduced friction in our day-to-day work. ### 2. Every client gets the same level of attention now, regardless of how the week is going internally, and that consistency is quietly becoming part of our reputation. Deciding which account needs a gentle nudge and which needs a real conversation is still ours to make, and that’s exactly the kind of judgment I want to keep being trusted with. Even with regard to usability, interface as well as navigation I feel OCTA Flow is very smooth. **What do you dislike about OCTA Flow?** A single, more unified view across receivables and payables review would help us tell an even cleaner story to clients. That would be something like nice to have. **What problems is OCTA Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?** Attention used to be uneven across our client list, shaped by whoever had a free afternoon. That inconsistency is gone, and our client relationships are steadier because of it. ### 3. That’s not how it works anymore. OCTA Flow takes on the mechanical pass, and what’s left for me is the judgment calls, the ones a partner should actually be making. I’m not clearing a backlog before I can think. I’m just thinking. **What do you dislike about OCTA Flow?** The biggest change for me wasn’t the tool, it was retraining myself to step back from calls I used to insist on making personally. Worth it, but it took a beat. **What problems is OCTA Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?** My advice to clients used to come after I’d already spent a week just getting the numbers straight, so it was often reactive. Now I’m looking at clean numbers from day one of the conversation, and what I tell clients has gotten sharper because of it. ### 4. The Month End Close skill in OCTA Flow defines exactly what needs to happen and what the deliverable should look like, regardless of who’s overseeing that client’s file, and OCTA Flow holds context specific to each one, so it isn’t re-learning our chart of accounts every time we run it. That memory across engagements matters more than I expected it to. **What do you dislike about OCTA Flow?** Onboarding a new client takes some upfront setup to map the chart of accounts and close checklist properly **What problems is OCTA Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?** We’ve taken on more clients over the past months without close quality slipping, which is exactly the tradeoff I worried AI adoption would force on us.
