"Effortless Workflow and Seamless Scaling with NCI"
5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

Honestly, what I appreciate most about NCI is how much it simplifies my daily work. Having everything—storage, compute, and networking—in one place means I no longer have to switch between countless different tools. The dashboard is intuitive, allowing me to accomplish most tasks without having to navigate through complex menus. Updates are much easier compared to our previous system, often requiring just a few clicks. And when it's time to scale up, it's no longer a major hassle; we simply add nodes and continue working without interruption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

The pricing is definitely on the higher side, making it more of a significant investment rather than a budget option for smaller operations. If you're used to traditional infrastructure, there is a noticeable learning curve—our team needed a few weeks to feel truly at ease with the system. I also found that some parts of the documentation, especially those covering edge cases, could be more clearly written. Explaining the licensing model to management turned out to be more challenging than expected. Still, in the grand scheme of things, these issues are relatively minor compared to the overall value you receive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Management, Cloud-Like Experience"
4/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I love Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) for its simplicity and the way it offers a cloud-like user journey, making complex tasks feel straightforward and accessible. The one-click operations are a massive time-saver, reducing management complexity and making day-to-day operations more efficient. Additionally, NCI impresses me with its ability to reduce both Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operational Expenditure (Opex), which significantly lowers the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The platform's ability to consolidate traditional infrastructure components into a single, unified console simplifies my workflow and decreases the need for multiple consoles and various skill sets, contributing to an easier and more streamlined management process. Moreover, the public cloud-like experience that NCI delivers is invaluable, providing flexibility and scalability that enhances business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I find it restrictive that Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) only supports certified hardware, limiting flexibility despite its support for many OEMs. While AHV is robust, it lacks some of the richer features offered by VMware, such as SR-IOV and certain DRS capabilities, which can hinder more advanced use cases. Additionally, I believe the networking aspect could be more intuitive for streamlined operations. Lastly, although the initial setup of NCI was not overly difficult, I encountered challenges specifically with the NSX part, suggesting potential improvements in that area. "Effortless VM Management with Fast Scaling"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I love using Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) to run my virtual machines and manage storage because it is extremely easy to scale and keeps everything smooth without much hassle. The interface is wonderfully simple and the automation features definitely save me a lot of time and stress. It excels in reducing downtime by ensuring smooth VM operation with minimal manual supervision, and I can quickly add resources whenever necessary. The ability to manage everything in one place is incredibly convenient. NCI's management of VM storage, automation, and monitoring tools are incredibly valuable to me because they streamline my operations. I appreciate the easier management and faster scaling that NCI provides compared to traditional VMware. The initial setup was impressively easy and straightforward, which I would rate a 2/10 in terms of difficulty. Overall, these have significantly enhanced my day-to-day management efficiency and I am very likely to recommend NCI to others, rating it a 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I find that Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) could be a bit more affordable, which can be a concern for budget-conscious users. Additionally, some updates require more planning than I would prefer, potentially affecting the efficiency of deployment and integration processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Management with Flexibility and ROI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I like that Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) is simple to use and offers hybrid multicloud flexibility. It helps reduce infrastructure cost and management, and I think it could give us a good ROI. The initial setup was pretty straightforward as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

The fact that every node has a dedicated controller VM. That seems like something which would consume a lot of RAM. I think it'll be nicer if there could be shared resources and not have dedicated VMs for every controller. Or even have the option to manage everything with less VMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Platform, but NCI Costs Can Add Up Fast"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

NCI brings together compute, storage, networking, and virtualization into a single logical platform, dramatically reducing infrastructure complexity. This unified approach simplifies management and eliminates the traditional silos of separate systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

NCI can be expensive, especially for smaller organizations.

Costs often increase as environments scale due to licensing tied to CPU cores and additional resource consumption (e.g., controller VMs). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
