## Nuclino Reviews
  ### 1. Simple, Nice Knowledge Base That Doubles as a Product Roadmap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederico M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

A very simple, nice knowledge base. I even use it as a roadmap for my product.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

There are some limitations when it comes to customization, especially with tables and similar elements.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a central place for all company information.

  ### 2. Very fluent handling of markdown for a scaling personal knowledge system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

I discovered Nuclino after searching for a wiki/notepad/knowledge base tool storing LLM outputs that I've been capturing both for personal use and for work.

Because LLMs tend to output as markdown, seamless markdown handling was a top requirement.

I initially used Obsidian for this purpose but quickly realised that for the knowledge repository to have any use (ie, for me to read the outputs I was storing) convenient mobile access was a must. Others were clearly intended for use in the business context / as teams and as a passionate but solo user, the features didn't make sense for my use-case.

The the main challenge: it was surprisingly difficult to find a tool that: a) had the kind of seamless markdown handling Obsidian offers and which b) could handle my import of notes. Although 3K doesn't seem like a huge "wiki" to me, it simply overwhelmed a couple of systems I tried. I found it hard to believe that any knowledge management tool could crumble under what seems to me like a fairly modest volume.

Nuclino has presented zero problems in that respect so far - neither in loading times nor in indexing performance. Everything saves pretty much instantly and I haven't had any difficulty in retrieving saved items via search. In other words, it provides the level of performance that I've long been accustomed to with tools like Google Drive.

The import process was straightforward with one exception: it didn't like some of the non-standard markdown syntax which Obsidian adds. So a word of warning to users making the same migration: consider running your notes through standardisation process before importing. I got ChatGPT to write me up a quick Python script and it did the job!

Nuclino had the most fluid markdown handling out of the box of any of the tools I tried and I instantly like that it didn't try to be too "clever". A lot of tools in the knowledge management space try to bring users along on a complicated system. I liked that Nuclino got out of the way and leaved me to do all I wanted it to do: give me a nice and fluid notepad to save outputs, edit them, and read them.

I also like that some thought has been put into the data export feature (I'll come to backups below). I initially thought that the archives didn't contain an index but was happy to stand corrected. You get your files back too. I wish I could say that this was standard, but quite a few SaaS tools forget to liberate large parts of the user's data footprint. It's nice to see that Nuclino offers a data export tool that does what it promises.

It's also good to see that they're adding features (public workspaces were announced today). The UI is minimalist, but not static.

For anyone who appreciates markdown editing and wants a cloud experience that can mirror those in some of the local-only tools, I would say this is a great place to start.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Not Nuclino-specific, but the only reason I ever self-host (and avoid SaaS) is because I'm hesitant to fully hand off control of my data, especially when it's either sensitive or business-related.

I was hoping to be able to use the API to extract data, but I couldn't coerce it into doing that. Some of the other tools I looked at had richer APIs which explicitly supported this purpose.

On the plus side, Nuclino does let you export your workspace as a Zip.

So with a bit of scripting, I was able to achieve my objective of having a cloud backup of my data in a roundabout way (I just need to remember to pull down the zip once a week).

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier this year, I began using ChatGPT (and later other LLMs) for a variety of uses: ideating, basic research, and even for keeping organising (I find it great for generating document templates, for instance). As I scaled up my use and also began using it for personal projects, an unexpected "problem" arose: where do I "put" all these inputs that I'm collecting. I initially tried building something basic myself (a database with a frontend). But ultimately concluded that this was reinventing the wheel. It took me a while to get comfortable enough with markdown editing to feel confident enough to look for a tool that handled this out of the box. When I finally got around to evaluating cloud solutions, Nuclino shined for its seamless markdown handling and its effortless ability to handle my note vault with excellent indexing and search performance.

  ### 3. Nuclino is great for Simple and Effective Wiki

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Extremely User Friendly. Good integrations. Keeps things simple.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

a bit more options for user security would be helpful

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company information and source of truth for employee resources

  ### 4. Works wonderfully and is very well designed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

It is so out of your face and does what it is designed to do without fuss or frustration. The design is wonderful and the implementation just as good.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

The search does not handle typos. It will show zero results if you mistype.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge base.
Keeping notes for projects, customers, software etc.
Preparing for meetings and meeting notes.

  ### 5. Easy to use, Perfect for onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Very intuitive, very is to link pages together and create groups, and there are multiple good interfaces for seamlessly navigating between groups and pages. Creating pages and adding headers, links, bullet points etc., are all very simple, making it very easy to create informative pages.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

When you create a collection, it creates a page you can't edit, which only has links to and the names of all the pages in the group, which doesn't look very good as a page. It would be better if that were a page that could be edited to function as that collection's home page.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nuclino is helping my organization retain information long-term. As a student group, we suffer from a very high turnover rate and often lose out on a bunch of knowledge when members graduate; now that we have access to a central wiki, we are better able to retain information and not waste time rediscovering what someone already knew.

  ### 6. Is really interesting using nuclino

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon R. | Technical Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

information.
Offers real-time collaboration features, allowing teams to work together and share knowledge in real-time.
Provides robust search capabilities to quickly find the information and content that teams need.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Limited file storage compared to other similar platforms.
Some users may find the platform to be limited in terms of functionality compared to other knowledge management tools.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Nuclino is a great platform for teams that are looking for an easy-to-use and intuitive way to manage and share knowledge. Its real-time collaboration features, robust search capabilities, and wide range of customization options make it a great choice for teams of any size.

  ### 7. Very elegant way of sharing and updating knowledge throughout a team dynamic.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Nuclino is very easy to use, and provides one of the most user friendly interfaces I have experienced. Love the API as well!

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Exporting individual pages is great! Exporting a whole project/board into a PDF folder would be amazing!

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a user-freindly way to live edit documents throughout a team, as well as being able to embed stuff into it.

  ### 8. Nuclino for Karman Space Programme

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George B. | Partnerships Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Karman Space Programme is a student led group with over 50 members, and just as many, or more, individual tasks that need our attention. Nuclino allows us to easily organise our projects individually.

We have created easily accessible groups for each division of our group (software, engineering, partnerships, finance, etc). Users only join the groups that are relevant to themselves, making it easy to keep focused on what they are doing. These groups can also be intuitively edited, meaning that all the members are kept up to date with their progress in each task.

Finally, and most importantly to us, Nuclino is extremely intuitive to use. New users should have no issue with joining groups, editing tasks and contributing to the projects.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

We at Karman Space Programme have had no problems with using Nuclino as our primary tool for organisation and we've only seen our productivity improve since switching to it.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, we at Karman Space Programme have had no problems with using Nuclino as our primary tool for organisation and we've only seen our productivity improve since switching to it.

  ### 9. We found nuclino a good way to keep our team documentation centralised and organised.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

In my opinion, the most useful functionality is the mind-map-like diagram of files and folders (we just would improve the connection/relation between documents, like some other second brain apps with graphs have). Also, other features that we enjoy are the bunch of ready-to-use plugins that allowed us to integrate, for example, some OneDrive files while writing about it our docs, and its Markdown formatting setting that is very useful for people who don't want to waste time with WYSIWYG formatting (like Word) and at the same time have the ability to not be very technical like LaTeX (as some team members don't come from engineering/math/physics backgrounds and it's a bit confusing to them type in LaTeX), so this was the perfect way that we put together technical and non technical team members working in the same environment and keeping it all organised while only the right people have access to the right documents with the access rights features.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Honestly i dont find any part of nuclino that stands out for bad reasons, its a very solid platform.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Nuclino helped to resolve for me is the organization of my documents and so on, allowing me to have a cleaner and more organised workplace and my team.

  ### 10. Nuclino is perfect for our team!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace P. | Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

I like that people can collaborate in real time, and I like the clean, simple layout. It makes it easier for people to use and get familiar with.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

I would like it if the kanban board feature could also be used inside of workspaces, at a lower level, rather than just as a workspace.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are competing in a university design competition and Nuclino is helping us with documentation and project management.

  ### 11. An App To Share & Develop Company Knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey S. | Founding Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

The intelligent links between knowledge sources helps me focus on strategy development and alignment of goals.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

I'm still learning but at the learning curve isn't overly steep.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content types allow me to add nearly any document, image and code as well as link to external sources on my website.

  ### 12. Project management with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor T. | Self Employed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

We love that Nuclino allows us to get such a more clear picture of how our own project operates. It has allowed us to find many loopholes and issues which we managed to now tackle using the site.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

I wish there was a "Presentation mode", we did the bold decision of pitching our project to investor using Nuclino, they loved it, but an actual way of presenting would be even cooler!

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

Try the premium plan for 2 weeks and if you don't like it, at least you gave it a chance and you definitely should.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized that we don't need to stick with Trello and that Nuclino radically changes the way we look at not only project management, but even our project as a whole.

  ### 13. Flexible and easy formatting, easy to add and organise sections

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jory B. | Software Engineer, Team Co-Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Easy to add and organise sections.
Can write in LaTeX directly.
Easy to add images.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Can't see who wrote previous edits, only the most recent

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can store notes and ideas through the development of a project, when things are not fully fleshed out and being able to revisit and edit easily later is key

**Official Response from Anastasia Churazova:**

> Hi Jory, thanks a lot for your review! You should be able to track all edits using the version history. To see who made the change, simply hover over it as described here: https://help.nuclino.com/7058010e-use-the-version-history

  ### 14. A great way to organize all work in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudine V. | Consultant in Adult education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Nuclino allowed us to replace multiple other collaboration tools and consolidate all our docs and projects in one simple platform that does everything we need. It was also very easy to set up and bring the entire team on board, including non-tech people. There is virtually no learning curve at all!

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

So far, nothing about Nuclino has been disappointing or hard to figure out. I wish there was a way to change the size of embeds, but I was told it's already on the roadmap.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our work organized has become much easier after adopting Nuclino. We have a dedicated workspace for every topic and can seamlessly collaborate without having to open multiple tabs and switch windows every time. We also managed to cut down on the number of meetings we have and became much less reliant on email to keep the team on the same page.

  ### 15. Excellent platform for team collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Very easy to navigate the platform and establish efficient documentation for our team.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

There is nothing I dislike about the Nuclino platform.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping with an efficient means to collaborate with my team and establish a permanent documentation for future years.

  ### 16. It’s a great way to keep project documentation and grow your knowledge base organically.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

The project documentation and templates. It really helps speed up the process. Also the way it's organized is very nice.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

I don't like the lack of integrations it would be nice to be able to add project descriptions to read me's on GitHub and track tasks in other platforms like Planner.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation and having a standard way of accessing information. It's an incredibly powerful tool to keep everything in an organized agile manner.

  ### 17. Incredible Application to store your data and segregate it in cluster format!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaonak K. | Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

The most loved part of Nuclino is that it provides a common platform for storage that could be used for learning, and along with that, it increases productivity and work efficiency segregation of different clusters.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Not particularly anything; maybe adding live tracking for project management would make this application better.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems of a single platform for storage, differentiating between resources, writing down content for meets and passing it on towards next Gen team so that knowledge transfer would be efficient.

  ### 18. Fantastic Resource Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Briana M. | Marketing Programs Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

I love the ability to find a vast swath of information easily. It's incredibly nice to get in touch with different department knowledge without explicitly reaching out to someone to ask a menial question. I also love that I can create documents directly in the software and edit when I need to instead of exporting, editing in a different software program, saving, and then reimporting. I also appreciate that I can link directly into the editable documents and allow my team to directly download.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

There isn't anything I dislike with the software. It has worked extremely well for our team. Maybe the only thing would be cross-platform integrations and including more software options that we can link between and create a more comprehensive connected library for our team.

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

If you have a ton of information that is not congregated in one succinct place, definitely use this platform. It's so nice to be able to search for information on a huge variety of topics.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the issue of onboarding new hires more easily. It's difficult to know what we don't have record of until someone asks for it and there are only a select few individuals who actually know the information needed. Tribal knowledge is only good for so long - there needs to be a written record so that any newcomer could become familiar quickly and efficiently with our internal processes and systems across the board.

  ### 19. To organize and work as a team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Alejandro P. | Asesor comercial, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Very simple to use, everything can be organized in a straightforward, user-friendly manner, making it easier to navigate than Google Drive files. It has good functionality for processes of editing, documentation, and communication. Its low cost makes it really attractive.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

the only bad thing is that the app only works online

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

I have had a good experience so far. It is a good app to organize and have a well-drawn outline of a project or work, as its system is very effective, plus you can edit it to your liking. Its price is also very affordable for all the tools it offers.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are looking to organize documents, data, notes... nuclino is a nice solution. It has helped me to better organize my work and has greatly increased my productivity. As I work with many clients from different places sometimes I can get saturated with so much information that organization to avoid making mistakes is crucial. I also share content constantly with my colleagues and they can review and edit in a matter of seconds. I also use to have an outline of personal projects that I want to work on in the future, which makes it much easier to project my ideas.

  ### 20. This is a tool designed to assist with organization.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savannah W. | People Operations Generlist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Action items, shareable documents, real-time edits, ability to link PDFs, variety of views for action items, attractive layouts.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Go to Nuclino to find information instead of using an extension; we have switched to Guru since then.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shared knowledge across the team, action items are beneficial with a variety of perspectives to utilize.

  ### 21. Excellent tool for online editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

I like its clean and simple platform, where teams can easily board and upload files quickly. Simple to collaborate with members of remote teams, edit documents simultaneously, tag people in text and feedback. Check, edit and navigate is all nice quickly.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

The style is very similar to others, it doesn't have many styles of fonts that could be customized to your preference, so if you're searching for specific font types and colors, it's not the ideal app. I don't like it doesn't give you the choice to include widgets. Occasionally the web version of the site can even malfunction, and sometimes the information is disrupted.

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

My colleagues and I have been searching for an easy-to-use wiki / knowledge base to keep track of our projects, store data, and collaborate, and so far we've been fairly satisfied with Nuclino. The design of the software is so fantastic that it's really a great experience writing new notes / docs in the app. If you'd like to share material or details and update it easily, I highly recommend this resource. It's the same for working in groups, editing files online, and setting up collaborative units with colleagues.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nuclino is a much more organized and intuitive tool to use, I used google docs with my team before, and it was a bit disorganized. Nuclino allows us to work as a team not only by editing a document, but also by enabling us to see new changes at the moment. The best thing is that we can organize the documents in a hierarchical manner and according to the last edition. It's a tool that helps us to be connected in real time by uploading information in an updated way.

  ### 22. Amazing for Back Office

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian R. | Chief Operating Officer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Nuclino allows me to manage my back-office processes and keep them up to date and my remote team on task without ever having to print an employee handbook or training material. It is an essential for me as I build out a very process-driven organization.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

I wish there were more formatting options or ways I could incorporate a lot more of my brand identity into some of the articles I write.

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

Use dark mode its much better on your eyes. Also, the graph functionality is really helpful in determining who owns what from a leadership perspective and assigning critical portions of ownership to your team

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee Process Management and repositing workflow on a remote team. We have realized that by having a source of truth that is web-hosted, our employees self-help much more frequently and can learn about processes in the company without increasing toil across leadership teams, leaving us to work on higher leverage tasks.

  ### 23. Solid organization tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

We are using this for an internal knowledgebase. Tracking instructions, tasks, and client information for our team. It's super easy to use and I love the visual map.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

Takes a little bit of getting used to and to get everything organized the way you'd like.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a central location that's easy to access for everyone on the team.

  ### 24. Better cost/benefit tool for this purpose (for one single user)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge G. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

I used Confluence and Evernote before Nuclino.

I don't like Evernote because it allows me to only add two levels of hierarchy on my notes organization, and it really annoys me because the notes doesn't stay organized as I want because of that.

I like Confluence, but the price is very high for a single user (10 USD). The Dollar price is very high compared to my country currency (Brazilian Real).

Nuclino has the best of the two worlds. It has an awesome free plan and all of the features I need as a single user.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

The only thing I don't like so much is the notes editor interface. I need to click on a plus (+) button to see format style options. These options could stay on the top of the screen all of the time (as Confluence is).

**Recommendations to others considering Nuclino:**

If you use Evernote or Confluence, you should try it.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for personal purposes:

- Notes of learnings
- Book summaries
- Projects description
- Procedures

  ### 25. Great tool for company docs and wiki material

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Nuclino?**

Easy to configure workspaces keep documentation well organised and easy to find. Private workspaces means you can use the system for both public wiki docs and also personal notes.

**What do you dislike about Nuclino?**

UX could do with a bit of work, and some of formatting isn't the best looking.

**What problems is Nuclino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it for our company wide documentation to support onboarding and knowledge share
