The NetShield is extremely simple to setup and use with very little configuration / integration required, unlike true 802.1x systems where other components are required (such as Radius servers or certificates). This simplicity means it is a great solution for smaller businesses who maybe have no NAC at all currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The NetShield itself does what it is designed to do. The only issue is that the poison ARP approach of NAC relies on detected a rogue device that has already connected to the network. The reliability of detecting the device is therefore down to the configuration of the current network. Conversely, if you ever wanted to disable NetShield, this means there is nothing more to do that shutting the appliance down or disconnecting it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
