He answered our questions timely and sought out solutions to our customizations. Fantastic! The software itself is much better and more robust than the module we bought with our NetSuite implementation. We will benefit greatly from being able to consolidate costs that trickle in over a period of time into one asset record. It is easy to use and the integration was seamless. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** The only issue I've had is a getting one report that provides all the information in one place I need to support our audit. We had to run a few reports and combine them. Our auditors need to know our beginning asset balance, the current year depreciation total and the ending balance along with the criteria necessary to test the calculation (e.g., in service date, useful life, etc.). I am a NetSuite Administrator so my experience with reports/searches are pretty good. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We will benefit greatly from being able to consolidate costs that trickle in over a period of time into one asset record. That's when we reached out to NetGain about NetAsset. NetAsset has been able to help us get back up and running with our fixed assets. The amount of reports available with Fixed Assets is great, the ease of use of the software, and the customizations NetGain was able to add for us are all huge in our opinion! We have close to 23k assets, but the NetAsset implementation team didn't blink an eye when they saw how many we have and have been great in helping us get the system set up and with showing us how to use the system. I like the automated process for asset rollforwards and depreication so that it removes the human error of calculating depreciation. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** My biggest complaint is the time that it takes to run entries when you have a large population of assets. If you have any experience processing fixed assets, you could practically set it up on your own, it is that well laid out. Extremely customizable. Excellent functionality. Easy to make any asset modifications that come up. They offer additional books for Federal and State taxes. Even maintenance scheduling tracking. I've never seen a better implementation team. Amanda has been FANTASTIC! The Rocketlane layout is exceptional. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** It creates a separate depreciation expense JE for every asset. If you have a LOT of assets, it can be cumbersome to review. There is a Summary JE option, but it doesn't work with the standard reporting. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** The asset module that came with NetSuite was a joke, so getting a more robust asset software was a necessity. From previous experience, my first consideration was BNA which is one of the best FA softwares on the market. But it is a 3-rd party software, that doesn't fully intergrate, and can be expensive. NetAsset has all the same features and functionality as BNA and is just a easy, if not easier, to use. The fact that it is just another sub-ledger within our existing accounting software is awesome. I love how it links to the AP Module so invoice copies are attached. The Reporting is excellent. ### 13. But the best part of netasset is the reporting it provides. They have thought of everything, which includes rollforward reporting. This makes providing information to our auditors much easier. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** Some of the reports are relying on scripts which makes it tough to customize it to our needs. but support and our implementation person Brittley Eldridge have been great with responding to questions. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Biggest problem is the buildup and split of assets, along with the rollforward reporting. Our company buys computers in bulk and being able to split them out into multiple assets by serial number is invaluable. ### 14. Our company implemented NetClose and NetAsset modules at the same time. NetGain team was very helpful and responsive. They were always positive and incredibly knowledgeable. We hit a few snags along the way and Tyler always had a solution for us, helped us talk it through, and made a few custom adjustments to fit our needs. The company provided us with a good interactive page for tracking progress and accessing knowledge base. We were able to complete the project and go live in just a few weeks. We had a great time working with the NetGain team and are very happy with their products and employees. We decided to implement their NetLease module as well and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to simplify and automate monthly workflow. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** We have been using the system for a short period so far, but we haven't found anything we dislike. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had approximately 1,000 assets maintained in an excel spreadsheet, over the course of several years. I have used the NetSuite fixed asset module and another software, and neither one is able to work nearly as efficiently. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** There is not much to dislike. I do dislike that NetSutie themselves couldn't come up with something like this for their own fixed asset module, but credit to NetGain for filling the need. **Recommendations to others considering NetAsset by Netgain:** I feel that the organizations that will best benefit from NetAsset would be those with a large quantity of fixed assets to track (especially if they have many additions and disposals) and also those that are in need of easier automated tracking and capitalization for construction in process assets. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** My main problem that NetAsset was the solution for was efficiently tracking costs for patents and then putting them into service. NetAsset is able to track construction in progress (or in this case patents in process) and then capitalize all costs into one asset to be amortized. From that one asset you can trace all costs back to the related bills easily. It sounds simple, but no other software, even the NetSuite module, could do this properly. ### 22. We have streamlined our additions and depreciation to be automatic vs manually tracked in Excel. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** The reporting could use some work - because there are so many reports to choose from it is sometimes unclear which is the best source of truth for audits. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were tracking our assets manually in an excel file that became way too big to manage and keep clean. NetGain has helped us track our assets better and get out of excel as we grow as a company. ### 28. It is user friendly and its ability to set up the maintenance schedule, audit trial, customisable reports and tax schedules were some features that beat other systems **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** So far we have not experienced any problems **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Netasset is an embedded add - on for Netsuite. It is the perfect solution for asset management, rather than managing seperate system. Some of the key features like integrated tax schedules, customisable reports, Multi book entries, Asset Proposals and ability to modify assets were the attractions we liked in Net asset. NetAsset saves us hours each month in managing our fixed asset lifecycle. ### 30. Everyone is happy to see a standard format and view the entries, as well as any modifications and adjustments. The schedule posts automatically to the GL without any hassle. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** A slight learning curve but the product is amazing. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are saving so much time now with an automated fixed asset reconciliation process. Compared to other systems, NetAsset is very user-friendly, allowing us to generate schedules, journal entries, and reports with ease. **What do you dislike about NetAsset by Netgain?** I do not have any issues or concerns with the system. **What problems is NetAsset by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** When creating amortization schedules, we were impressed by how easy it is to create, customize and export in the system.
