"Great tool for ITSM"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

The templates within Navvia give a very structured and methodical approach for defining and documenting ITSM processes and technical requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

It was a little difficult to use the product at first but once familiar with the features, like any system it became easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Navvia product, along with their consultants not only gave us a great starting point when beginning to redefine our ITSM processes but helped guide us all the way through. We leveraged their survey module to get a baseline for our processes, used their templates to define roles and responsibilities and also flow charts. The approach and organization really helped us in pulling together our documentation which was really the main problem we were trying to solve. Having the process documentation outlined so well helped us immensely in defining our technical requirements and was the largest benefit for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A very satisfied long time user"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Navvia provides absolutely excellent support for their tool.

The functionality in the tool is close to limitless. I mainly use the tool to create Process Maturity Assessments and process documents. I have found no other tool in the market place that does the things I need to do in my day to day job.

The ServiceNow related Process Documents are a very big win for us in that we are very heavily reliant on the tool.

Being able to create customized Process documents for our processes is also a very big win for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

The ONLY thing I dislike about the tool is the learning curve for new users. Once you learn the tool and how to utilize the functionality, it is wonderful. The intuitiveness of the tool, while great, is difficult for new users to follow.

I am very pleased with the fact that we do not have a laundry list of dislikes with the tool. The tool continues to evolve to better support the organization's process goals and functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Navvia:

If an organization is looking for tool to support ITIL processes to better serve your organization, I whole heartedly recommend Navvia as your go to tool.

I really have not found a lot that the tool cannot do to support our organization. Inputs and outputs for process relationships is there by the click of a button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

This could have the potential to be a very long list. Mainly, I utilize the tool to create Process Maturity Assessments and Process documents. There is a huge benefit to our organization in that I have one stop shopping for my process needs. The fact that it has documents which relate to ServiceNow is huge for our organization as we are very reliant on that tool.

Working with ServiceNow support, I am constantly learning new things about the tool in terms of functionality and usefulness.

As the tool continue to evolve, more and more useful functionality is added.

Navvia really listens to the needs of their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Navvia is the foundation for documenting our Processes in IT"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Having all the components of a Process at your fingertips. You can capture as much detail as you want regarding the attributes of the process such as; Objectives, goals, Policy, RACI, Procedures, Tool Specs, Inputs, outputs, triggers, metrics, and the list goes on. It has all the core components from A-Z to capture when documenting the process so when it is finished all the information you need is right there in the Process document. It eliminates the need to use Visio for the visual workflows, Word for the procedures, policy, objectives, etc., and excel for the RACI, data specs, tool specs, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

There is nothing to really dislike, rather every application has opportunities for improvement. There are two components that I would like to see Navvia add in future enhancements...Ability to import from Visio if you have a process mapped using BPM Standards and have an "Undo" option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Navvia:

While there are other Process design tools, or BPM Applications out in the Market, Navvia listens to feedback from their customers to continually enhance the platform. Also, like I mentioned before, it has all the attributes of a process right there for you to reference and complete. It is really a process documentation guide for everyone to ensure all components of the process are documented. Other systems do not have these components pre defined and it is up to you as a user to add the components to the process.

Also, the fact that Navvia offers Process Accelerators for ServiceNow is a huge plus. It gives you a jump start on the process with a lot of the attributes already defined and documented (tool specs, data specs, states, notifications, metrics, etc). This saved us hours when building Incident and Problem Management processes.

Lastly, The price is very affordable. Especially when you take advantage of the Learn Module and take the free courses. We are taking advantage of the ITIL Foundations class by enrolling new hires to take the class and then we just have to pay for the certification exam. This is much cheaper than going through another organization to provide the training and administer the exam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my organization we did not have any of the ITSM Process mapped out. We recently purchased a new ITSM tool and as part of the development of the tool we mapped out the Incident, and Problem Management Processes. We purchased Navvia just before we went live with the ITSM tool to transcribe Incident and Problem management processes into Navvia. We are now using it to document other processes that are being implemented into the ITSM tool.

The benefit is having the process documented and the ability to go back and reference the process to answer questions, ensure conformity, and to identify CSI opportunities. We are not quite mature enough to govern the processes but that is something we hope to take advantage of in the near future.

Outside of the Process Design piece, we have had 3 new hires in our Service Desk use the Learn module and take the Live ITIL Foundations course. After completing the course, they were able to successfully pass the certification exam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A unique and innovative product"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Navvia has pre-made ITIL-compliant process templates that you can tweak to fit your business rather than starting from scratch. The subscription also comes with a library of free training courses that my teams has found to be invaluable. Because the subscription comes with unlimited read-only licenses, everyone in our organization can view process documentation and utilize training at no additional cost to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

There is some learning curve with the design tool and it takes a little bit of time to fully grasp how all of the features work together. However, ease of use has improved rapidly since we began our subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thanks to this tool we now have several documented, ITIL-compliant service management processes where previously we had little or no documentation of our processes. This tool allowed us to move much faster than we originally believed possible and has been instrumental in facilitating slow but meaningful culture change in our organization. "Navvia is priceless for documentation and driving improvements"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Navvia ensures that our process/procedure/requirements/specs documentation is comprehensive, logically tied together and effective. The tool allows us the luxury of not being experts in process documentation and still get it right.

It provides lots of great examples via the templates and then is organized in a way that ensures we don't miss any needed elements. It's also flexible, allowing us to deviate from the prescribed path to add content specific to our needs or exclude content that isn't relevant.

Then, once we have everything documented, Navvia hands us a methodology & required content to assess and improve our maturity- all in a way that allows easy reporting up the chain and accountability within our teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

I would like the interface to be faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Process alignment with other areas, clarification, communication and training for procedures, formalized and tracked process improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Navvia Success Story Implementing ServiceNow"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

The team at Navvia has an extensive breadth of knowledge in the IT Service Management area. Thanks to Navvia, we now have mature processes and will look to team with them as we implement new processes moving forward. Since moving over to ServiceNow in 2011, we have engaged with Navvia consultants in assisting us with a CMDB solution. This has proven to be a valuable tool for us in understanding our hardware and software inventory at any given moment. We've also added CI costing to the CMDB which has also proven to be invaluable for insurance purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

We have only had positive experiences with Navvia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Navvia:

When we first worked with Navvia in 2000, they stressed working on the process first before implementing a technical solution. Since 2000, we have followed this model using Navvia's software and would recommend that other companies follow this advice as well. I would also recommend engaging with Navvia if you do not have experience creating processes. Their consultants worked very closely with our IT teams and were very patient and collaborative during our engagements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

As mentioned in my response to the first question, we are in the final stages of our CMDB and costing project. We will look to engage Navvia to review our process before closing out the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overall we find the Navvia tool an important part of our ITSM strategy. "

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Primarily we use the Navvia tool to document, manage and govern our processes. Additionally we leverage the survey tool to measure our process maturity as well as leverage the training materials to help keep up ITIL awareness throughout the department. In each area we find that it fits well to help support our projects and initiatives, in particular in when designing a new process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

At times the interface is difficult to navigate and requires training in order to be able to do even basic tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Process Design - The process design templates have enabled us to more easily run our own process design initiatives. Without them these initiatives would require much more preparation and planning.

Process Governance - The governance module has brought structure, rigor and transparency that would be difficult to maintain otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Navvia has changed our success and structure for process design, great supporting tool. "

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

We really like the structured and detailed approach to process design. The ITIL templates are incredibly helpful. The training and support from Navvia is some of the best we have ever experienced. They respond quickly and support has been top notch. They are very well skilled in the tool and do not stop until you have your issue resolved or the training you need to be successful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

We don't love having to create individual profiles for each process so we can setup things like version control but it is not a show stopper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Through the implementation of process, we are bridging the gap between IT and the business. This helps us deploy more consistent and quality IT services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Value of NAVVIA"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

The NAVVIA process tool and their SME have been invaluable to us in ITIL process creation. I would recommend their service to anyone. The are a small team of individuals who know their craft very well and have been instrumental in the standup of a few major ITIL processes to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

Initially the tool was not completely user intuitive or easy to use but the NAVVIA team was completely up front and over time made several critical improvements. They always listen to their customers! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ensuring we have global standard processes that follow our methodology of People, Process, Data then Technology with value and ROI of the most cost effective team for our corporation as possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Recommend and use Navvia whenever possible"

5/5

What do you like best about Navvia?

Flexible, self-contained contained and controlled environment for comprehensive management of processes.

Develop, modify review, and publish processes based on custom or best practice templates. Conduct maturity assessments using built-in or customized assessment module and conduct audits of processes using built-in auditing tool to identify changes to process documentation/diagrams.

Provides secure work spaces for individuals and/or groups developing process, and a portal where "production" versions of process are published and available to to everyone who needs to see/use them..

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navvia?

Very little to dislike.

Roadmap is headed in a direction to integrate all processes and allow references to other processes and their components, e.g., roles, procedures.

Be able to produce documentation that serves as training materials., Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Navvia:

There aren't any competitors that I was able to find at this price point, nor with this ease of use, incredibly short ramp-up time and use beyond what I expected. E.g., it's a great tool for a senior person to train new people on; walking a to be process owner through comprehensive documentation provided with the platform and customized to your organization is an amazing eye-opener for someone who is not used to dealing with comprehensive process templates.

Companies don't build documentation like this provides out-of-the-box; let alone be able to maintain it with little effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navvia solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business problems and the benefits that were achieved from them were that:

Process documentation is current and available to those that need it

Changes to processes are controlled and subject to review prior to publication.

Production processes are not changed without proper review

Maturity assessments are conducted at regular intervals and that written documentation is available supporting the assessment.

Processes controls are supported by metrics

Processes map to business objectives Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
