What problems is MS SQL Database Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our database is updated very frequently, and we restore the database with data backups provided from other locations. One day, we got an error while attaching our DB. Our DB got corrupted, so we tried different methods; we restarted SQL services but all in vain, So we used this software, and finally we have our DB running.
