Recommendations to others considering MRI Evolution:
Always think about the bigger picture and work backwards from the end of processes. I.e. if you are intending to use the invoicing functionality, start with the requirements for that and work your way back to the task management process.
Potentially attend a Concept User Group (currently online due to COVID) before implementation in order to discuss requirements and experiences with other users and administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is MRI Evolution solving and how is that benefiting you?
Concept Evolution is used to run our FM business.
We use approximately 80% of what the application has to offer from basic asset and PPM task manangement to facilities booking, mobile device maintenance, client portal interaction, task and job logging, operative/engineer assignment, procurement through the Purchase Order module through to pricing and invoicing back to the client.
We've been using Concept now since the early 2000s, and the web-based Evolution since 2013. In that time, we've developed the application to suit our requirements and stretched it time and time again really testing it's capabilities.
We have made good use of the workflow module which has allowed a vast expansion of the system's already broad functionality to implement a highly complex process of notifications to clients, supply chain, senior management as well as internal staff.
We have over 300 mobile devices in the field using the FSI GO mobile maintenance solution and since it was implemented in 2013 have processed well over 1.5 million tasks.
We have a full supply chain and procurement process managed through Concept from Purchase Requisition (with CIS review) through to approval by selected individual based on region, project and requisition value, including logic for lifecycle processes for our PFI projects.
We also run the Contract Variation processes for our 14 PFI concessions through Concept as well from SPV through to client sign-off.
We're currently looking at a re-classification exercise of our Assets using Uniclass (currently using NRM) and a full match to SFG20 instruction sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
