## mousepad Reviews
  ### 1. Review on mousepad texteditor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SUMEEHA V. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2023

**What do you like best about mousepad?**

A mousepad is made to be quick and light. It is suited for older or less powerful computers because it doesn't use a lot of system resources. Even though Mousepad is straightforward by default, you can still somewhat alter it. To fit your tastes, you can adjust the typeface, color schemes, and other fundamental parameters.

**What do you dislike about mousepad?**

It is deliberate that the mousepad be simple. It is less suited for complex coding or text manipulation activities since it lacks many advanced features present in more potent text editors.

**What problems is mousepad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The mousepad is made for simple and fast text editing activities. It provides a simple user interface that makes it simple for users to open and edit text files without being bothered by extraneous distractions. Users that need to make short tweaks or take notes without the hassle of a feature-rich editor would profit from this. It's frequently used to keep track of tasks, write brief scripts, or scribble down ideas. For such jobs, its small weight makes it effective.

Supports only Linux OS. No support for windows !!!

Apart from that, it provides all facilities of a text editor.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2018

**What do you like best about mousepad?**

Mouse pad is easy to use and best of all FREE! Users can download a version from GitHub that is "light" and easy to use. It has good customization features for the interface which is nice. There are options to allow for the classic color coded syntax highlighting. It is compatible with multiple different file

**What do you dislike about mousepad?**

There is nothing much to DISLIKE about mousepad. It is a free software and the software delivers on what it promises.

**Recommendations to others considering mousepad:**

This is a free product/application. It does its job and is a very "light" application, not many bells and whistles, very bare bones. Gets the job done and is a pleasant experience.

**What problems is mousepad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize this program for my side projects outside of work. It doesn't have many frills associated with it which means it doesn't take much memory or computing power. That being said it is not ideal for people who are looking for plugin features/development environments.

  ### 11. Small and simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about mousepad?**

Starts instantly, has just enough features to let me do basic text editing, without getting bogged down with fancy stuff I don't need. I also like that I get just what I want without any configuration.

**What do you dislike about mousepad?**

The name "mousepad" is a bit hard to quickly type in Gnome Do, where something like gedit is easier. This of course is a trivial complaint, but is probably the only thing I dislike.

**What problems is mousepad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple text editor to quickly edit notes.
