## Forj Reviews
  ### 1. A great tool for connecting association members

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne L. | VP, Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Forj is so easy to use! It has a lot of features that our members enjoy.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

It was a little hard to integrate with Re: Members

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to quickly share information with state members and have a way for them to share resources and ask questions

  ### 2. Powerful Tool for Managing Community Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darla M. | President, Greater for Good, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize has an intuitive, user-friendly interface with low- and no-cost options for organizations to create and manage an online community. It is feature-rich. It supports a list-serve, onboarding and management of membership rosters, includes mini-profiles for each member that are viewable by the community, document management, and is customizable. Our professional organization is a volunteer-run and has no budget. We do not have a website, so our members rely on Mobilize to be our online hub and sharing spot. We are so grateful to be able to use Mobilize to further the good we do.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

While the Members feature offers great capabilities (mini-profiles, automated communications, forms), it does not allow filtering on membership date. Adding this feature would help us better recognize and onboard new members. Please add it! Mobilize doesn't really support collaboration in creating documents. If several of us need to work on a document, we use Google docs to leverage their editing and versioning features and then post the finished doc on Mobilize. It would be nice if Mobilize had that function, too.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through Mobilize, our community shares professional opportunities and resources, collaborates, creates and promotes events, and improves our organization. Our members are not co-located. Mobilize has helped us grow and become better organized despite the challenges of the pandemic. We also use Mobilize as the repository of our foundational documents that describe who we are, how we function, and what we hope to achieve. We reference these documents frequently. As we share our knowledge with one another, we are better able to serve social sector organizations.

  ### 3. Best Customer Service on a Group Management App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily E. | Marketing Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I love how customers can get daily digests sent directly to their email and leave a comment from their email, too! I also love how simple the layout is. And the ability to organize my document uploads into folders! Their customer service is also top-notch. They always get back to me within 24 hours and are very respectful and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Sharing videos is a little clunky and you can't go live directly from Mobilize, you have to use Youtube and patch through to Mobilize. I would love to be able to tag or group topics together. And also to offer courses.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue of bringing people from all corners of the internet into one central hub. Previously, I was on Facebook Groups and could only include members who were willing to have a Facebook account. With Mobilize, I am not promoting any other social media app.

  ### 4. Fast Response and Resolution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt D. | Detective, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I was unable to access my account and had it resolved within a day or two. Turns out it was my error, to begin with, but I was able to regain access, no problem. The staff was polite and helpful throughout the process.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There was not anything to dislike. The process was very easy.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem was that I was signing on with the wrong email address. My organization has three different emails that go to the same inbox. The benefit were the fast response and resolution times.

  ### 5. Mobilize Keeps People Connected & Truly Mobilized to Community Events!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsey C. | Exercise Physiologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The easy interface to set up activities, discussions, and polls, along with the availability of a mobile app that beautifully displays the web content in an easy accessible way.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There's nothing to dislike about mobilize since its free to use and allows you to upgrade to some pretty awesome features that promote more community engagement and interaction between community members.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

NA

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem the pandemic created, which is making my community feel isolated and dependent on the weekly email communications we send along with social media to replace in-person connection. Mobilize feels more intimate, which is something I like.

  ### 6. Enjoying what Mobilize has to offer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sydney O. | Network Engagement Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The easy to view metrics for posts, emails, resources, and more.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

A couple of updates we requested/we're told were coming haven't happened yet. Need more notification options.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Think about what is most important for your work. We value metrics, and Mobilize provides a lot of easy to view metrics. We also needed a place to store a lot of resources, it Mobilize works great for that while still providing a sense of community.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting our members! Creating a sense of community we didn't have before. Getting suggestions from members that we didn't have an easy platform for before.

  ### 7. Great replacement for traditional listserv

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize provides a platform that can be used like a traditional listserv or a more dynamic forum. This was important for our community.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

We've had trouble with formatting posts. They often appear oddly spaced in emails v. on the web browser.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Mobilize is a great platform for large groups. It has a lot options to make it fit your organizations needs. It's a great replacement for a traditional listserv.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has allowed us to created subgroups so that the entire membership does not have to engage in a discussion that is only of interest to some members.

  ### 8. Cooperative role of mobilize customer service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The response rate of the mobilize support team. They were cooperative and provided timely assistance.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I do not dislike anything in particular.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Mobilize is an easy-to-use platform. It has a built-in set up to manage networking among communities. The support team is cooperative as well.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using mobilize to facilitate our platform.

  ### 9. Use for a client distro

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

User interface is pleasant and easily navigational.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The login process was difficult one time.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobilize is used by our future client. It allows me to see information they provide industry and also to network.

  ### 10. An intuitive community platform that fosters high engagement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen Z. | Senior Director of Platform, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I love the ability for members to interact with the platform completely from their inbox so they don't have to check a separate platform if they don't want to. The ability to send SMS or email campaigns from Mobilize is incredibly helpful so I don't have to consistently cross-check distribution lists with other platforms. Similarly, being able to send event invites and manage RSVPs on the platform is helpful. The ease with which members can connect with each other (and filter the member database by job scopes, areas of expertise, or anything else that's public on members' profiles) is great. Our users were hesitant to transition to a new platform, but after some initial pushback, we haven't received any complaints about the platform's features or usability.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The resources feature (which is new so still under development), isn't very user-friendly. You can't house links within folders (they go in a separate section) and when searching for a resource, links aren't included in the results so you have to scroll through them (fine with there are 1-10 links; a pain when there are 50+). Resources/links aren't currently automatically alphabetized, so you have to drag things into the proper order (again, fine when you only have a few, but can become annoying with a large number). But, again, it's a new feature, and given how intuitive every other feature of the platform is I have no doubt the resources section will soon be the same.
I don't love that I can't pull usage stats on my own. I know they're adding that feature.
After several months of using the platform, another thing we're noticing is that users don't realize that the 1:1 messaging and other features on Mobilize can take the place of slack workspaces for networking and often ask us if we have both. I'm not sure what I'd recommend to remedy this (we've done walkthroughs, explanations of the platform, reminders, etc.) but something to note.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a one-stop-shop for our community. We transitioned from Slack, where we saw a fair amount of engagement over the years, but nothing as robust as we were hoping. One of the great things about Mobilize is that the conversations are easy to search and return to. And it's really set up for deeper connections/conversations than the traditional messaging app.

  ### 11. Game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

As a rural, community network hub for local clubs and non-profits, Mobilize has provided us a place for folks to experience the social media platform they're used to, but without all the negatives that are pushing people away from the major platforms. Simple layout, easy to learn, and non-invasive for skeptics we're trying to engage with.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

We would really benefit from having one minute "how to" videos to help us explain functionality. If I had a starter video to show how people can change notifications (for both the app and emails) I think we'd have better retention.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're still building our memberships and introducing the platform to the greater community (offline and on other social media sites), so we haven't tackled any major objectives yet. We're hoping to create a site that allows different communities (food/education/health/volunteerism/etc) to cross pollinate education and ideas, based on the trust we're building within our users.

  ### 12. Mobilize makes is super easy to manage a community

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bec E. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

There are many ways to engage, inspire and discuss. Using gifs & images to brighten the feed - it is so easy to make announcements and discussions engaging and fun. Communicating privately and as a community and providing a safe place.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The big jump in price from free to paid. I love all the features on the free plan and would happily pay for more, but it's a huge leap that just isn't worth it for a small community like mine. I really want to have timed emails! A recent problem in the last week is the huge support button covers up the cancel/post options! I have to change my screen size to be able to post replies to private comments which is very very annoying.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

I was a member of a Mobilize community before I used it for my own community so was familiar with the features and functionality. It's so easy to set up a free account to try and I must admit I have found it such fun to use - there really is delight in communicating and supporting others.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am was so pleased to be able to move away from Facebook and Mobilize offers a secure place for community conversation. I love being able to make announcements - the email functionality is brilliant for prompting engagement.

  ### 13. Easy to use app, great for building community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The interface for Mobilize is easy to use, especially for those accustomed to social media apps. The free tier is quite adequate and gives an excellent opportunity to put it through its paces before committing. The support is also prompt and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Some management is only in the web interface rather than through the app. It works; it just takes a little time to work out how to find things.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Mobilize for our community group. Because it is a closed system the security and privacy are much higher than social media chat environments such as Facebook or What's App.

  ### 14. Short and Sweet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Forj?**

They were able to get me the information I needed within 48 hours of the request.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Not having a chat function to contact support for an issue

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not sure as I am a help desk tech.

  ### 15. Great option to replace an old networking solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate W. | Business Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I love the features that allow you to message one-to-one with members, enable you to upload images, documents and videos, and the flexibility to reply on different platforms - from email to app to web interface.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I don't like not being able to copy a link and paste it into the body text of a message (it loses the link functionality). Instead, you have to click the link button which takes a little longer (and you have to remember to do it!)

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Yes I would recommend Mobilize to others - I would ask for a demo and clarify exactly how messages get sent and received on the different platforms.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old networking solution did not allow you to send attachements, polls and it had a line limit on the message thread. Mobilize resolves all these problems :)

  ### 16. A great solution for clubs and other groups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terry B. | Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

It has the ability to segregate the emails by a discussion topic, and allows images. And the best feature--it allows the admin to add emails without people having to subscribe and sign up first.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Would like the ability to show discussion titles in a list, without having to scroll through them.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

It's the best choice for a notprofit or club with less than 500 users. Cost free and lots of features.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The club had an antiquated list sever, which was brutal to wade through. Picking a cost-free service was impossible-they had limitations on number of people or required signup. And Facebook and Google were automatically eliminated--people hate the companies' policies.

  ### 17. Integrity and Vision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I've worked with Mobilize since 2017 and the one thing that has always stood out is the clarity of their product vision. They know where they're headed and how they want to get there - both in the people the bring on as well as their product roadmap. Every feature that's developed is intentionally executed on to accomplish a very specific goal while still keeping an eye on future opportunities.

The product itself builds on what we all instinctively know - communication allows for endless improvement and I see them building their platform to break down every digital barrier - both obvious and latent- that impedes our ability to connect with others to reach our fullest potential. Mobilize is really more than a product, it's an understanding of what makes great connections happen. Whether you're trying to connect with your customers or collaborate with colleagues, this is the tool that will help you do it.

Also worth noting is their exceptional staff. They're hardworking, collaborative, and forward-thinking.

I cannot say enough good things about this company.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I have no criticism to share at this point.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Managing a community takes time and dedication. Make sure that you have the resources to devote to this effort. Simpling standing up a community is not enough - you have to be thoughtful, intentional, and have a clear vision for what you're trying to accomplish.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to connect with our customers in a secure and private, yet easily accessible way. We use Mobilize to build brand awareness and further our product development research efforts.

  ### 18. Colaborative and user friendly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisel d. | Speaker | Trainer | Executive Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Easy to use, right on hand information, contacts, sharing points.
It´s perfect on the laptop and on the cellphone.
Easy to use, reading, and charging documents.
I really love the look and field of the application, on all my devices.
I'm very satisfied with the inscription process, my community gets easily into the app.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Nothing at all... I would love more institutions could use it. I would love to have it all in Spanish. I would love to have a Spanish video training, microcapsules to send to the new members of our community.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Mobilize is a great tool for your organization, install it, practice, and enjoy it.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our community, sharing information, events, and opportunities to exchange resources. Is an easy access point for our learning community. Give us prestige, seriousness, and projection in our community.
It's a great opportunity to keep our organization together, working on our objectives and mission.
Actually, we are solving the communication/conversation problem, moving our talking from a group in Whatsapp to Mobilize... and the community is accepting it in a very consistent pace.

  ### 19. Great Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jillian W. | Senior Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Intuitive UI, mimics other social media feeds so easy to use. I like the option to announce my post via email as well

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I don't like how the preview of a post looks (all plain text) and the right-hand panel that expands to view the entire post. I think it's kind of clunky. Also the "New Activity" scroll is always slightly off and never works the way I expect it to.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing the emerging tech and federal government community together. We have seen increased community engagement and knowledge sharing as a result.

  ### 20. Great community building tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Lead Trainer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The post to email function and the reply from email feature.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The share tool for new members took a while to work at the start. Someone from M had to activate or 'untrigger' our site after it got flagged for some reason.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Ask some other members to help you with the administration of the page. Also encourage a calendar of posts to share the sheduling.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting everyone a place to connect on DMs that isn't a social media app.

  ### 21. Amazing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

We run a writing community on Mobilize which runs regular sprints. Our community loves the platform and so do we as it's really easy to use and has an excellent chat function. We can tailor emails really well, (add gifs!) which makes it a super-friendly environment to be part of. I'd recommend highly to anyone looking to add a community element to their groups. Support is also amazing - even on the free version.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Nothing in particular springs to mind.I'd like to have timed functionality on the email but believe this is possible on the paid-for version.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

I would very much recommend the platform.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not really problems. We are running a structured coaching program for writers - academics and creatives - based around a sprint format.

  ### 22. Login issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The timeliness of the online ticket resolution was impeccable. The representative was extremely helpful and understanding while ensuring that the issue was adequately and timely resolved.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There is not one thing that I would state is undesirable about Mobilize. The system is extremely user friendly, and whenever technical issues arise, there are eager individuals available to help with a resolution.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Login difficulties. Unfortunately I had locked myself out of the system and had to reach out for technical support in resetting my password.

  ### 23. Problem Solved!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

My problem was corrected in a timely, professional manner.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

No problems with the support service....

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was not receiving emails on a distribution list. Issue was fixed.

  ### 24. Intuitive Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronni M. | College and Career Readiness Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

I love how the platform is organized and how easy it is to figure out new functions. It is a great way for me to meet other educators as we share ideas to better serve students.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There is a little support widget button that blocks the post button and I can't post unless I zoom in to 300%.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobilize is helping me to connect to educators across the country. It is a great place for ansynchronous participation and meeting new people.

  ### 25. Great space to share

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

It is an excellent repository of conversations/posts from various people. You can store resources and find old posts quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I haven't found anything to dislike about mobilize yet.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an excellent place for our teacher's association to store resources and share ideas. It is more convenient than simply relying on emails.

  ### 26. I am pleased with the number of features and high quality blog posts. Needs some minor improvements.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Detailed blog posts about engagement,
email blasts option,
an option to prioritise manager posts (as an announcement),
events calendar,
easy overview of the members database.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Missing an option for weekly as a group email frequency - one of the major drawbacks,
"Introduce yourself" can end up being spammy (consider giving a separate place for that),
it's a bit hard to navigate through the feed (I would like to see it as a timeline of posting, and not activities).

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Mobilize is platform that provides its users with a number of useful features. It's up to you to take an effort to understand these features and decide how to use them to build your community. You need to be actively and mindfully involved in the moderation to create a successful network. Make sure to check out Mobilize blog posts for tips & tricks.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facilitating networking and helping break silos between various professionals, promoting organisation activities, contributing to the EU funded project

  ### 27. With some work, your association will succeed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayme L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The Mobilize platform provides user-friendly tools to help our association connect members with each other around topics in the profession that matter to them. While not perfect, the means for connecting with the content via web, email, and even a mobile app are appreciated. There is a great deal of work that needs to be done by the association to build an effective distributed leadership model, but Mobilize has a staff uniquely suited to help associatoin's succeed.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The analytical tool provided by the Mobilize platform is VERY elementary and really doesn't tell the admins much about the use of the platform by members. The company should consider building more administrator tools to allow its clients to determine effective engagement and use of the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

You and your team have to be prepared to put in a great deal of work to make the tool work for you. It won't just work without your efforts to make it work.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobilize has allowed our members to connect with each other in an effective online space. Our members are appreciating this tool. While we are still early in our community-building process, our association remains committed to making sure our members can succeed. Likewise, I feel that Mobilize is committed to helping us achieve our goals.

  ### 28. Bringing communities together

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin M. | Event & Program Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The ease of community outreach and comms.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

It would be nice to have more customization.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobilize has allowed us to stay more connected with our community and learn more about their interests, needs, and wants with clear, quality data. We're no longer throwing things against the wall and seeing what sticks. We are delivering what the community has asked for and tracking KPIs as new projects and campaigns are launched.

  ### 29. Great Community Platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil P. | Campus Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize is easy to use for sending emails with attachments, links, inserting photos, to build community and engagement. It allows us to send weekly emails to either certain individuals or the entire membership to invite people to activities and events. We have been using this service for about 2 years now starting with just a few people and now have built a community of about 120 people. Great service!

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I can't really think of any downsides. Mobilize does everything we want it to do.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication enhancement, sending ESL lessons for international students, responding to questions about activities and events. Mobilize makes it so easy. It also functions as our database of emails and phone numbers of our community.

  ### 30. Mobilize has been a great connection tool for our mostly remote staff.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The platform is very intuitive and easy to use. We've seen very few issues with daily digests and email notifications. The platform makes it easy and quick to get up to date on the latest activity in the community. This was probably the most important deciding factor in selecting an online community for our members.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Now that we are moving forward with hosting our annual conference in Mobilize, we're running into a few minor hiccups. For example: searching the Members tab by state doesn't necessarily show correct results (need to type state abbreviation, not full state); we are unable to categorize upcoming events by conference theme or type (ex. webinar/peer discussion/Q&A); and, while being able to embed videos in the feed is great, it would be great if we could also embed videos in the Resources tab.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

After considerable research, Mobilize was the clear choice of online community for our network. In alpha testing, our staff group took off quickly as an intuitive tool that fosters greater connection. We are excited to roll out this platform to the larger community of water protectors.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we launch, Mobilize will be a great solution to the disconnect people are feeling across the network. This community will replace an outdated listserve and give members the opportunity to discuss challenges with their peers. A secondary benefit that we hope our members will take advantage of is promoting their work to the network and having others learn and be inspired by their successes.

  ### 31. Mobilize review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas B. | CEO/CCO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The Community Page helps me stay in touch with my partners. If I want to send a message, I don’t have to enter everyone’s email address separately, but all my contacts get my message.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I’d love it, when I type my message, the menu bar would be similar to what I’m used to in the “office world”.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

For ease of use, I suggest that text editing be more similar to Office Word.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clear: keeping in touch with my partners.

  ### 32. Great platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize is a community-driven social platform that is easy to set up and use.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The platform is evolving and regularly going through changes, but the Mobilize team has been communicative.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are connecting stakeholders from across the country and topics of interest.

  ### 33. Great community building software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Easy to use and great customer service from the team.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Nothing really to comment on as whenever we have a problem or make a suggested product feature, the Mobilize team are happy to discuss/sort out.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merging our several communities that are currently spread over Whatsapp, Google groups and Slack into one platform where they can meet new people.

  ### 34. We are very pleased with the Mobilize features and from their support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Orli R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The fact that our members can search each other so easily and connect without us having to interfere.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I have been with Mobilize for two years now and they have grown and understood many things that they had to develop. I feel that that is a disadvantage for us as we know the basics and are having a hard time convincing our members to join. It is really hard getting people to use a new platform.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are solving the connections problem we had with our community as it is now more direct. We have realized that we can create meaningful conversations for our members through Mobilize and we can't wait to get that started.

  ### 35. Mobilize is great for community building and keeping everything in one place!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

We use Mobilize for a variety of different functions, but we've made great use in it as a platform to encourage our community to connect with one another. They can easily see other people in their groups and can reach out themselves using the chat function (and without us having to which makes managing the community much easier and more efficient).

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

It's not the fastest platform. It's developed nicely but could do with improving to some of its functions. It's integration with other platforms could be improved as well.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facilitating connections and disseminating information.

  ### 36. great way to communicate with my staff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca A. | Youth Services Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

the ease of sending a communication to hundreds of staff, and creating polls to get buy-in

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

sometimes it is difficult to understand why an email isn't working.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to quickly communicate with my library staff around the state, and send them news. The ability to quickly create polls to gather their opinion has been invaluable.

  ### 37. The Best Solution for Our Home Association

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

By far, Mobilize has the best user experience when compared to Yahoo Groups (now retired) or Google Groups (should be retired). It was easy for members of our home association to join and use.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I had a little trouble using the Events feature. I created an event but neglected to add members (thinking it would automatically email everyone). Then I edited the event to add members but wasn't sure that went out. So I deleted then recreated. Needless to say, the association received several email messages from me accidentally.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to move our 20-member home association from Yahoo Groups to something more modern. Since the transition, I'm seeing much higher engagement, even on the Mobilize mobile app, than when we were just using Yahoo's glorified email list.

  ### 38. Great experience overall

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Very clean and intuitive interface for the platform itself and for managing settings.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There is nothing that I would say that I dislike really—initially we thought that it would be nice to have extra flexibility in the way that digital resources could be stored and organized for the community but then we realized that it is much better to handle those functions with other solutions and keep our Mobilize community as a focused (and therefore less schizophrenic) platform that is good at one thing.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the beginning stages of onboarding our community of around 400 members and are moving at the pace that our group has the capacity for (quite slowly). The educational materials that already exist to help out our beta testers and eventually the community at large are fantastic. We have noticed that the smooth interaction with people's emails (for those who are shy to new apps) is fantastic and something that we realized is critical.

  ### 39. Strong Functionality and Easy of Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan E. J. | Vice President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Easy log-in through Linkedin, very easy to add and communicate with members. I'm sure there's a lot more functionality, but we're a low-key group, and the features and usability exceed my expectations.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I would like to see more functionality from the app (iPhone). Would love to be able to communicate to the group when I'm away from my computer.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Mobilize for our Bible study and love the platform. Since Covid, we've actually grown outside of Atlanta and have members in Savannah, GA, and Chicago, IL; so easy to add new members, delete old ones, and communicate with the group.

  ### 40. Vice President, Talent Mainsail Partners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily A. | Vice President of Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize seamlessly integrates your email exchange with the platform so unlike Slack, it enables you to be active in your communities without ever having to leave your email inbox! Engagement was organic and unlike any platform I've used before. highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

I wish you could organize conversation threads around topics to make it easier to sift through. The chat function could also be faster (takes about 10 min to sync with email) so not instantaneous. If you need a robust chat tool, this is likely not it.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration within our portfolio of executives. It has been great to see our execs share best practices and ideas and build stronger connections without my facilitation.

  ### 41. Perfect system for keeping intouch with our volunteers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The ability to create a post on the system and no matter what, every user on the platform will be notified via the app and email and vice versa.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Some features that we need are locked under paywalls / premium plans. A community business / charity can't afford to pay for online platform so it would be good to see some better options for this type of use.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Its good for the basics and is perfect for organisations just looking to have a simple means of keep a team of volunteers updated.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we had was trying to stay in touch with our large group of volunteers. It was originally messy and all over the place. Now that we have Moblize, staying in touch and keeping everyone up to date couldn't be easier. The benefits is that no matter what technical ability our volunteers have, they can stay in touch simply by email or get the app and communicate directly.

  ### 42. Connect the educators we work with across the country

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily S.

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2020

  ### 43. Mobilize is one of the best and community-friendly tool especially for new organisations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mogesh S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The best part about it is that it pretty much caters for most of the necessary needs easily in an organisation especially when it comes to members mobilization and there's not need to look for an external application or software to do tasks like sending multiple emails at once and making integrated announcements.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Mobilize at the moment as it has been serving me the best already, but what could be added to make it a more comprehensive members engagement tool is probably by adding meeting management system like creating one and using it for live meeting sessions.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Mobilize is a user-friendly and a very powerful tool for community management and it definitely worth a try!

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In these hard times (COVID-19 lockdown period) especially, Mobilize has been very helpful, flexible and very reliable for virtual event managements (promotions and announcements) and members mobilization. It is by far one of the best and powerful tool. I think the benefit that I find most impactful is the fact that it allows an organisation to create sub-pages for chapters and the best part about it is that it also allow members to network and communicate with anyone from the main community group.

  ### 44. I've been pleased with the performance and functionality of mobilize.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Its very user friendly and the UI and UX I think are really good.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

No major complaints. Our group likes using it.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

None

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large group who wanted an easy and simple platform to use for communications. We've been successful with that. Some group members who are less active in the group tend to ignore all notifications so engagement has dropped off with less frequent use. As a stand alone app, not much we can do about that. Also, our group is not super active these days and is also volunteer based so it makes sense engagement has dipped.

  ### 45. The perfect tool for building our community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

We are a diverse community of people wanting to share resources, ideas and encouragement. The clear and attractive user interface of Mobilize has meant it's been easy for everyone to pick up and start using. Discussion threads are easy to follow and it's helpful that you can tag people in your posts and comments. Events have been great for letting everyone know about potentially useful training and seminars coming up. We have also made good use of the ability to upload and share files and resources with each other. The fact the people can interact via email or mobile app if they wish have been hugely helpful for being able to include both those who use technology a lot and those who don't.

Having looked at other potential platforms, one of the things that also won us over to Mobilize was the level of privacy. Various members of our community were concerned about this for various reason but all felt happy with the level of privacy offered to them when using this platform.

In terms of managing the community, we really appreciated the ability to customise so much of our on-boarding process, and it's been invaluable to be able to assign some folk to the various community moderation and management roles to support the development of the community in a sustainable way.

We were also delighted with the support we were given, even before we signed up to Mobilize. The team have been beyond helpful at answering all our questions, so we could be sure this was the tool for us.

Especially during this period of lockdown, it has been invaluable at better connecting people from all across our area.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

So far, I genuinely don't have any downsides for how we've been using Mobilize. It has met all our needs so far.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

The team offer demos and I found it very helpful to be able to chat to one of them before we signed up; they were able to answer all my questions in person about how the tool might suit our needs.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to bring together a diverse group of people from across a fairly wide geographical area. Mobilize is not only helping us to find a way of communicating with those we already know, it's helping to draw in others and build relationship between people too. It has helped all of us to react promptly and well during these extremely difficult times as the pandemic has hit our area so we can best support those we are serving. We are looking forward to how the tool will continue to help inspire and resource all of us during this time of lockdown and beyond.

  ### 46. Very complete set of features to manage my closed community

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Managed to very easily and flexibly create a small closed community. All the needed features are there, with practically no learning curve

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

The file repository functionality could use some improvement - e.g. providing better navigation, file descriptions

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and managing a community that gives a sense of exclusivity to the members

  ### 47. Ideal platform for powering community nonprofit organizations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent C. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Mobilize is intuitive for community managers and members to use. The email based system makes the platform accessible to everyone regardless of age or tech ability. A web interface and mobile app provide users with access to more features.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

There is nothing I dislike about Mobilize. The main challenge is that some new group leaders are not aware of Mobilize and instinctively suggest more commonly known products. Mobilize should have the best name recognition because the platform is excellent.

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

I recommend Mobilize without any reservations. I suggest reaching out to the incredible Mobilize staff and discussing your needs. Mobilize has the best customer service that I have ever experienced from a company of any size. The team listens to your needs and goes out of their way to help your community be successful.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple nonprofits using email was extremely time consuming and did not provide the best experience for volunteers or clients. Streamlining the community management process freed up time to focus on achieving goals.

Our community is used by multiple community organizations. As the administrator, I can conveniently support many group leaders. Some organizations are small and may only use one group. Other larger organizations may have many sub groups and multiple community managers. Some of the groups are for volunteers while others include members of the public who are served by the organizations. This results in a very diverse user base that ranges from teenagers to seniors.

  ### 48. Great for Building Intimate Communities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The interactive homepage to create community

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

When I do not want to announce a post it is still sent by email to groups

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating small groups of communities. These groups are small and personable, and users do not have to worry about their answers or comments being connected to their social media accounts. Grouping others into smaller groups ensures that important information is communicated to them, but they are not being spammed.

  ### 49. Mobilize is a wonderful app, super user friendly and a wonderful space to build community.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sana S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Forj?**

The easy ability to 'announce' a post & text.

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

Not being able to open my notifications in a larger window

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

It's a great online platform to hold space to build communities. It's very customizable and incredibly user friendly. Even older folks in our community navigate it very easily. It's also easy to monitor it and only let approved folks in to maintain its integrity.

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How do we build a community of engaged organizers? How do we keep people committed to the progressive cause without getting burnt out? << problems and questions we're trying to answer through this community we're building on this app.

The benefit of having a platform that only serves this purpose is helpful because it feels safe and free of distractions. Everyone is here for the same purpose.

  ### 50. An intuitive online community

**What do you like best about Forj?**

Specific categories for posts, tagging, inviting new members to sign up

**What do you dislike about Forj?**

increased email volume from posts, chat function rarely used

**Recommendations to others considering Forj:**

Ensure that the community has a clear objective

**What problems is Forj solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building community, sharing timely updates and opportunities, staying connected while working from home with our members
