"Power BI Makes Goal Tracking Effortless and Centralized"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

Power BI is great for metrics, incentive, and tracking various things all in one place. It makes it very easy to track goals for many different people all at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

I think it's quite a useful product for what it intends to offer. There are occasional instances where a value does not pull into Power BI, but that is possibly due to something else, not Power BI itself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    "Powerful Visualizations, Steep Price Tag"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I really like the data gateway feature in Microsoft Power BI for providing a layer of privacy and convenience. It allows us to push data straight from our database into the data gateway without public access concerns, which is very convenient for us. I'm also impressed with how well the filtering works with visualizations, particularly using the ArcGIS plugin. It's pretty amazing and convenient to be able to filter from the map level view on specific events or errors. Microsoft Power BI does a really good job of harmonizing our vehicle telemetry data and notes from driving evaluators into visual dashboards. Additionally, it's useful for giving insights, especially with the ArcGIS plugins, and allows us to do preprocessing with oData. It's convenient that users are hitting Power BI servers instead of our own database, which prevents our database from slowing down. I also like the way the security is positioned using the data gateway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

The pricing of Microsoft Power BI is challenging, especially the very high cost for the top tier that allows public access without needing a login. It's very expensive and was cost prohibitive for us, which was disappointing since we really wanted that feature. There was also a learning curve in getting acquainted with the software, especially with oData preprocessing, which was challenging for some of our less technical team members.
