I was contacted out of the blue via email for a very well paying role that I am qualified and am well experienced for. After determining that the email communication with that company was a bot, I immediately took caution, however with my unsustainable current salary, I continued with their next steps out of a need to find work that pays for the expertise, personality, and seasoned professional background that I have. The next "phase" included a simple application where you attach you resume and fill out some contact info. Continued step was an automated follow up with a deadline to conduct an AI based interview. Again, I was hesitant, but I put on my professional clothes, and made myself presentable to begin the interview. The minute Zara started talking, I already had hesitancy due to the nature of "speaking" to a bot. With each question I became less and less enthusiastic. Until they drew the line and I simply followed my gut and left the call about a third way in. After some quick research (which I admit I should have done prior to starting the interview) all my suspicions were confirmed. There's a sickening trend of where our world is heading with regards to AI. I believe there should be a healthy balance of AI and human interaction. But for these mobsters at the top to think every human is replaceable by a bot for the majority of the workforce for humanity is sickening and frankly a joke. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
