Metryc – Global Wind Speed Best Estimates Reviews & Product Details

Metryc is a cutting-edge global wind speed estimation product developed by Reask, designed to provide accurate and high-resolution wind hazard intensity metrics for tropical cyclones worldwide. Leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, Metryc delivers consistent and reliable wind speed data, even in regions with limited observational infrastructure. This capability is crucial for industries such as insurance, where precise wind hazard assessments are essential for risk modeling and the development of parametric insurance products. By augmenting scarce ground-level observations, Metryc enables the expansion of parametric insurance coverage into previously underserved areas, thereby addressing the insurance protection gap and enhancing resilience against windstorm-related risks.
