Metro2 Reviews & Product Details

BureauRelay is a cloud-based credit reporting software built by Switch Labs that enables businesses to generate, validate, and submit Metro 2 formatted credit reports to all three major credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Designed for lenders, property managers, rent-to-own retailers, and financial service providers, BureauRelay simplifies the complex Metro 2 reporting format with an intuitive web interface that requires no technical expertise or prior credit reporting experience. The platform handles the entire credit reporting workflow from start to finish. Users can create and manage consumer account records through a guided data entry process, with built-in validation that catches formatting errors and compliance issues before submission. BureauRelay automatically generates properly formatted Metro 2 files that meet the specifications required by the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA), ensuring every submission is bureau-ready. Key features include automated error checking and data validation, direct bureau submission via e-OSCAR (the Online Solution for Complete and Accurate Reporting), bulk record management for high-volume reporters, and a complete audit trail for compliance documentation. The platform supports all standard Metro 2 account types, status codes, and special comment codes, giving businesses full flexibility in how they report consumer credit data. BureauRelay is particularly well-suited for businesses that are new to credit reporting or those looking to move away from manual file formatting. The software eliminates the need to understand the raw Metro 2 file specification — a 200+ page technical document — by translating the requirements into simple form fields with clear labels and inline help text. Real-time validation highlights issues as users enter data, dramatically reducing rejection rates from the bureaus. For organizations managing larger portfolios, BureauRelay offers bulk upload capabilities via CSV import, allowing users to upload hundreds or thousands of records at once. The platform validates each record individually and provides a detailed error report, making it easy to correct issues before submitting to the bureaus. BureauRelay offers flexible pricing plans starting at $19 per month for small portfolios up to 100 records, with plans scaling to support enterprises managing tens of thousands of accounts. All plans include unlimited bureau submissions, data validation, and access to the full BureauRelay platform. A dedicated Enterprise tier is available for organizations with custom volume, compliance, or integration requirements. Built and maintained by Switch Labs in San Francisco, BureauRelay is designed with security and compliance at its core, helping businesses establish and maintain responsible credit reporting operations.
