**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

I like the accuracy of contact information and the clarity on the role the contact holds in their organization. I also appreciate the really great customer service from MediaRadar reps, who help build out reports about my target accounts. There is also an option to pull in media spend around the industry, which always gave me a springboard to understand what scope of cold-call/pitch to approach the new relationship with.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

I personally did not get approval to integrate MediaRadar with SalesForce or LinkedIn, but that would be a great capability if available.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use MediaRadar to find accurate and updated contact information for prospecting, enabling me to connect with the right people in target accounts. I'm always able to go back and find additional contacts.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

I remember a day of going through magazines and newspapers and putting post-it notes on pages so we could see what our customers were doing in competitive products.  Media Radar not only crushed that old way of doing business but now they are able to bring nearly everything to the table in terms of information about your customer and their advertising/marketing tactics.  It's incredibly valuable to me as an experienced advertising sales executive.  Yeah, call us spoiled these days, but Media Radar is not a luxury, it's a MUST HAVE.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

The only thing I can think of is that Media Radar has to report based on Rate Card and so sometimes the revenue comparisons are way off.  The trends, the creatives, and the massive amount of information available more than compensates for any lack of the impossible rate tracking.  Not much to dislike honestly

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to know what I cannot see by myself.  That's why I say it's LIGHTS ON.  In what would otherwise be a dark room with almost no visibility, Media Radar presents an opportunity to turn the lights on and see what our competitors are doing, what our key advertising partners may be doing right and wrong, and communicate with real FACTS, not conjecture and opinion.  Tell me what other tool you have that allows you to do that in your sales toolbox today.  I'll wait...

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

The tearsheets feature is extremely powerful; being able to review actual ads in competitor publications, while also being able to make mock-up ads using our publication, is excellent.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

There is a lot of data that is purported as true when it comes to companies' spending this is simply not accurate. We have spoken with many companies listed within Media Radar and they mentioned not spending any where near the amounts of money that are listed within Media Radar. There must be something off with the formula or rate cards they're using to calculate ad spends.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Media Radar gives us access to marketing/advertising contacts within each company, allows us to quickly review competitor publications and who's advertising within them, and get general information about the companies we're looking to pursue.

Their media spend data  (at least for TV) seems to be the most accurate data I have come across after researching and using a few different platforms.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

The UX is a little poor at times and pulling research reports is relatively easy but trying to use the map and other more sophisticated tools can create issues

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

I use the Power Prospecting report and the contacts tab religiously.  Both help me find where the money is and who the best person to reach out to is.  I also love that I can target specific regions.  The customer service at MediaRadar is also responsive and almost always solves the problem.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

There are quite a few companies that say "too small to provide adequate information."  I wish there was one name that could be provided.  Someone in marketing or comms.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MediaRadar is helping me find the best prospects.  Where actual money is being spent, so I'm not wasting my time.  Additionally, it provides contacts for me to start a conversation.

The people.  The tool is excellent . . . very user-friendly.  It is invaluable to be able to contact a helpful human being when you need a little extra help.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

It would be nice to evolve the client contact information.  It can be hit or miss.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to quickly pull up ad spend by client/brand/media/platform, client contact information, examples of recent creative, and custom reporting to make me smarter faster going into a client meeting or as I prospect.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

I like all the data on an agency or client mostly on one page - sometimes you have different contacts but absolutely best for contact lists is Winmo & Zoominfo. Both of these allow you to select the contacts you want & directly imports them to Salesforce w/ no CSV to deal with)  Winmo has better more accurate data on spend. I like having the Org chart in one place to easily swap between Holdco agencies

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

Dealbreaker - cannot import contacts directly into Salesforce or select the ones I want. When the CSV is generated, there are often multiple lines for one contact if they have different #s or addresses etc. - this makes no sense & it is very time- consuming (Winmo & Zoominfo have a direct import - literally 2 clicks). The site is also very slow & has inaccurate data (Winmo breaks it down by media type). Next pet peeve is that you don't have an option for OOH or DOOH in your pricing - OOH commands much larger budgets than Local TV - DOOH is the fastest growing media type, but there is debate on whether it goes to "digital" or "OOH"

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not many - I primarily use Winmo & ZoomInfo  - MR doesn't have a direct plug in to Salesforce so it's too cumbersome to generate contact lists & then have to edit them for duplicates & delete the contacts you don't want. Before we consider renewing (I'd like to cancel our contract if possible), these issues would need to change, plus reporting on OOH revenue

Relevant types of info and insights for media salespeople.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

Contact info is not always accurate and lists far too many people that are not relevant to the buying process. More specifics about pending and active RFPs would be helpful, including who is leading the process. When a brand is searched, it is somewhat annoying to have to sort through all the sub-brands. Just give me the brand I asked for. Also, have the first item in the brand search as the brand's own media property is not helpful.

Finding key contacts at brands and agencies. Finding which agencies have which clients. How much each brand spends, and where they spend it.

I love that I can log on and immediately find who I need to get in contact with from a business. It takes the guess work out and saves me loads of time.

I dislike that there is a spend threshold in order for MediaRadar to find our contact information.

The information Mediaradar provides is easy to quickly understand and digest, while allowing me to dive deeper into categories and brands I care to find out more information on.

I wish there was a better clarification on what subcategories are and better filtering abilities to define the brands I am looking for. Its ok, but could be much better.

I do not use the dollars associated with ad spend, as they are estimated costs.

Sometimes the contact names are not up to date, which I understand can be difficult because of the changing of accounts on the agency side.

being able to build lists, sort company types, see media spend by type, all great. But the most attractive feature was being able to identify agencies that work with particular target companies.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

A lot of times the contact info is not current unless recently verified. Also, many of the contacts are very high level which can be great for some, but not always the case, and its not actually who we are targeting so its a bit disappointing.

we hoped it would help us crack into agencies handling larger budgets for bigger brands we are targeting - so far that has not produced any revenue. To be fair, we have some time left to make this happen, and it may still happen, but I'm losing faith.

From an admin perspective, the reporting capabilities should be more self-serve with filter abilities and go into the past months/years, not just 6 weeks.

Best being able to identify the size of the prize with specific prospects and existing clients.

Apart from US region it has very limited and somewhat doubtable data.

It helped identify the target we had in mind regarding brands and agencies and helped to identify the POC in them. This helped very much while creating strategy.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

The software included the integration, the interface, the graphics and also the storage for the complete insight cycle. It is the most modern insight solution for social media for a very fair price.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

There was only one thing our team didn't like and it was the learning path, but it was because we were used to our previous vendor. This was quickly counteracted when we discovered MediaRadar's additional feautures.

Take a couple of days to get used to the software.

It brings the completed solution to know our market and customers. Our non-technical stakeholders took only one week to get used to the software and start providing insights.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

The platform is kept mostly up to date and has both robust brand direct and agency contacts included as well as spend by platform. This is far better than other platforms we have used and the contacts are much more accurate than with competitors.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

Sometimes the media spending is a bit behind or not updated as regularly as needed. In addition, when brands transition from one agency to another, sometimes it can take a long time to get new contacts included at the new agencies.

**Recommendations to others considering MediaRadar:**

It's a somewhat pricey product, but worth it for the insights!

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product has allowed us to find the right people to contact with background insights that help us close deals. It's a valuable tool for media sales! I've directly closed deals with several leads I've met through this platform.

I think it could be a bit stronger on the agency piece but I like the product a lot overall.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

I use Media Radar just about every day in the heavy prospecting work that I am doing. I like that Media Radar provides comprehensive contact information for both the brand and the agency contacts around the brand. It provides super detailed information, like someone's name, email address, title, location, weather in that location & their phone number. The key points summary is good & the wrap ups of where the brand is spending media dollars. I also appreciate the news section as it is also very detailed and relevant. For programmatic, YouTube & Snapchat the infornation is very good & thorough. You can also set up alerts & run competitive analyses as well.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

Wish they had deeper insights for all social channels & spend and not only for YouTube, Snap & programmatic. The insights they do have are good & comprehensive & it would be nice if they offered the same for the social platforms. The Perfect Pitch section does not always populate for larger companies. The platform also seems a bit dated and it is labor intensive to build a report or set alerts up. The account team seems to be very proactive & is always sending information out to our inboxes or offering trainings. The information they send is not always relevant or tailored to my needs however.

**Recommendations to others considering MediaRadar:**

Make sure you check out other options which might be easier to use. If you care mostly about spends outside of programmatic, YouTube & Snapchat, this may not be the right tool for you. If you only care about org mapping & contact info, this is a good tool.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MediaRadar helps me build out an org map when I am contacting a company or trying to call in. It makes it faster than trying to look at LinkedIn profiles one by one & it always seems pretty up to date. It also helps me figure out whether someone is a worthy prospect or not based on what their media spends are like, which ultimately saves time in the long run.

The report pulling is accessible. The format that the reports come in is straightforward and organized. I can also drill down to specific reps and territories. The creatives are very clear and I am able to see how money was spent across multiple mediaums.

Sometimes the categories of titles and companies pulled are not in my industry, and manipulating this feature is time-consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering MediaRadar:**

I would recommend having territories set up to be as precise as possible. When pulling reports, if a company is assigned to the wrong person, I would suggest correcting it as soon as possible.

I can see creatives and the spending to help my future advertisers made decisions in our programs. I can also see where my team needs to go for leads based on the budget of companies and where we missed out on potential money.

Many contacts are outdated. Results are delayed. The data of companies are less than I expected.

It's a bit clunky and slow because it's pulling from so many places!

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

MediaRadar pulls competitive spend solely based on a brand name and website URL which allows researchers and analysts the ability to compare integrated media spend across a host of different competitors.  The graphs are easy to understand, flight dates are shown, and a record of their creative showcases the ads they are running.  Afterwards, you are able to plan your own media (or client's) as you see fit.  Additionally, my assigned account manager DJ was very helpful when I had questions.

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

More of my own human error, but there is an innocent-looking button on the upper right labelled "competitive set" that combines your competitive set and skews your numbers, thereby throwing off all your research.

**What problems is MediaRadar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding out spend for my competitive, what channeled they advertised on, when they ran media, and the creative they ran.  This data was able to showcase to my client that they needed to spend more as served as a double check on our media plan and channel recommendation.

Pros:

Good for finding new advertisers and discovering which types of advertising solutions they are using for their campaigns

Good for finding out what advertisers have just started new campaigns

Good for finding contact info for prospective clients

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

Cons:

Can't narrow down the  list of new advertisers to those relevant to me;  for example, i don't need to see Viagra ads that are running on other automotive properties- I just want to see auto-related advertisers.

They don't have contact info for every advertiser I have researched...but Rocket Reach did.

It can take several days or longer to get a response back to a contact request.

Suggestions:

I Will keep using it, but it would be better if they employed the search programs that RR uses so I don't have to jump between platforms when prospecting to find clients' advertising,  marketing or owner contact info.

Allow some time for contact requests

Find new advertisers in the marketplace. Easily found a lot of contact info and also found new advertisers to reach out to who prefer to utilize Native ads.

**What do you like best about MediaRadar?**

It's easy to use. The data is presented in a way that can be easily digested and used in other reports. I can use this to quickly compare my clients' activity to their competitors. I use it to make informed decisions on tactical campaign optimizations.

More trend information would be helpful. More B2B information would also be helpful.

MediaRadar helps to find the most up-to-date spend by medium, key contacts, perfect pitches, news updates, and all else a sales person can ask for when researching a client!

**What do you dislike about MediaRadar?**

I dislike that you have to upgrade, or pay more for services that should be available to any standard subscription. For example if I want to see spend on media outside of my competitive set. I also dislike that there are many names for a particular client, specifically clients who are partially or fully owned by a corporate entity which as multiple subsidiaries. Data may be more robust at a conglomerate level, rather than the specific subsidiary which I do business with.
