At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Maze?**

In our design and QA pipeline, we use Maze to run unmoderated feedback loops on new UI features before handing them off for development. The ability to link Figma files directly means we can share interactive prototypes with internal testers without doing manual exports. The automated heatmaps and straightforward path-completion tracking give us immediate visibility into where users get stuck in a workflow, saving us hours that would otherwise go into reviewing manual session recordings.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

Heavy Figma prototypes with complex components or animations can occasionally lag during participant test runs, which may skew task completion times. The pricing jump between plans also feels quite steep for smaller teams that still need advanced participant filtering. On top of that, exportable report customization is fairly rigid when we’re trying to break down raw participant path data in a way that works for specific stakeholders.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze removes the lag between prototype design and user validation. Rather than spending days coordinating live testing sessions and then manually gathering and compiling feedback, we can publish a test link straight from our prototypes and receive quantitative usability data within hours. That keeps our design iterations moving quickly and helps us spot usability issues before engineering invests time building them.

**What do you like best about Maze?**

It is a much more efficient and complex tool similar to Google Forms but it uses AI to automate many of the processes related to survey creation and analysis.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

I believe it can be a little bit complex to use at first, we have just started implementing the platform into our Workflows, and I am the only one responsible for survey data analysis in my company, and I think before getting fully used to the interface, it is a bit more complex to use than Google Forms.

When it comes to support and onboarding, it is important to consider that I am pretty much alone using this tool in my company, but I have had difficulty in learning how to use it efficiently, but I do think it has great potential.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze is solving our business knowledge problems, we use it to run and analyze surveys to our company drivers and owner operators, and it truly allows us to dive much deeper into the research compared to other tools.

The integrations run smoothly with Google Workspace and our internal databases.

The performance is great, however we are limited by using the free plan, so we only aim to use this tool for more complex surveys, as we can only create 3 studies per month.

  ### 3. Structured, Intuitive Usability Testing with Fast Insights and Strong ROI

**What do you like best about Maze?**

Maze has made testing our driver app's interface much more structured, letting us gather real usability feedback before rolling out changes to all drivers. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to set up tests without needing a dedicated UX researcher on the team full-time. It integrates smoothly with common prototyping tools, so importing designs for testing didn't require extra conversion steps. Performance is solid, with results and heatmaps generated quickly once a test wraps up. Pricing has offered good ROI given how many costly interface issues it's caught before reaching our full driver base, and onboarding was quick since the platform guides you through setting up your first test. AI-assisted analysis of open-ended responses has occasionally surfaced patterns in feedback faster than manually reading through every response would have.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

Recruiting the right participants who actually match our driver user base sometimes required extra effort, since generic testing panels don't always reflect our specific audience. Setting up more complex test flows, especially ones mimicking multi-step trip actions within the app, took more configuration than simpler usability tests. Integrations with some of our less common design tools weren't as seamless, requiring manual workarounds. Support response times for more nuanced test configuration questions were slower than expected, and pricing scales with the number of tests and participants, which becomes a bigger consideration as testing frequency increases.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze has let us validate driver app changes with real user feedback before a full rollout, catching usability issues that internal testing alone would likely miss. This has reduced the risk of shipping confusing interface changes to our entire driver base, since problems get caught and fixed during the testing phase instead of after deployment, all without needing to build a custom user testing process from scratch.

**What do you like best about Maze?**

What I like best about Maze is its dynamic AI follow up blocks that automatically probe open ended survey answers with voice and text prompts. For our OTT platform, it lets us uncover the root causes of viewer churn and UI friction in real time without having to manually conduct live user interviews.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

What I dislike about Maze is that setting up granular conditional logic for complex, multi-branching conversational surveys can feel rigid and time-consuming. Additionally, analyzing open-ended conversational audio transcripts still requires some manual tagging, as the platform's automated report customization and filtering options remain fairly basic.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze solves the bottleneck of manual research by using conversational AI blocks that dynamically generate real-time follow-up questions based on open-ended viewer answers. For our OTT platform, this benefits us by uncovering deeper qualitative context around content discovery and playback issues at scale without forcing our product team to conduct time-consuming live interviews.

  ### 5. Insightful UX Feedback and Seamless Figma Integration with Maze

**What do you like best about Maze?**

Maze has been a great platform for us to gather detailed, insightful feedback on our UX design decisions. With its wide range of survey options—such as usability tasks and standard questions—it helps us collect different kinds of information and opinions before we approve any design updates. As a result, it has helped us improve the quality of our work while ensuring issues are addressed and every opinion is heard. Last but not least, it integrates really well with Figma, which is another strong reason for us to keep using Maze.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

Right now, there aren’t many customization options for the reports, and that’s my only complaint. We would have liked more flexibility in how the report interface looks and can be adjusted.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze has helped us understand how users interact with our designs and what potential criticisms they might have. It’s also helped us verify, at each step, that we’re moving in the right direction, which has saved us a lot of unnecessary development work.

The ease of setting up different types of tests with users

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

The customization options for reports are limited, which makes it difficult to adapt the results to the specific needs of the team.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows you to conduct user research without being physically present, makes it easier to find people for the tests.

**What do you like best about Maze?**

Quickly generates AI based research study questions, without bias and test quickly as well as conversational interview style templates. It has an intuitive interface and good integration with Figma.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

Complex prototype interactions occasionally break. Advanced settings can be difficult to find. Higher recruitment costs than expected.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we were making decision decisions based on emotion rather than evidence and we were trying to conduct many interviews for our new event management app and it was taking too long to plan and review our research methods and data.

  ### 8. Maze: Intuitive UI with Seamless Integrations

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

Sometimes there are small glitches when using the Maze app for survey purposes, but those are quite minor overall.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze is allowing me to take and give surveys to understand clients, potential products, and users more, giving an edge in customer and internal research projects.

**What do you like best about Maze?**

Maze makes user testing simple and fast. I can quickly test prototypes or live websites and gather feedback from real users with very little setup, which keeps the whole process straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Maze?**

There’s a bit of a learning curve when you start setting up the more advanced tests. I also found that some features are restricted on the free plan, which can be limiting—especially if you’re working on larger projects.

**What problems is Maze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maze helps me validate design decisions early by testing with real users before development starts. It cuts down on guesswork and helps me avoid costly changes later on.
