The layout is set up nicely, and I can find things easily. The Mastera team is also very responsive to user feedback. Oh, and I love that I can sell both single classes and subscriptions, as well as digital products. The whole thing has inspired me to get on the ball with creating my digital courses! I've had so many new ideas for courses since I purchased Mastera. I'm really looking forward to offering my clients supplemental materials and classes that can be both online and off. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** Everything has been great so far honestly. I did notice that my design tweaks to make things look like my brand don't seem to have taken effect, but the team has been so helpful, I'm sure it won't be difficult to fix. The roadmap full of ideas is nice to have, though I find it a bit hard to follow. It would be nice if there were more in-depth descriptions of things being worked on. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** I recommend Mastera for folks who are looking for an alternative to Kajabi. It's also great for those looking to integrate with other programs, especially right now while it's getting started because the Mastera team has been really responsive to various integration requests! **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** Even before the pandemic, I planned to have online courses for my clients, but stumbling across Mastera really accelerated those plans! I'm excited to get things all set for this winter so folks can do their training from home. I also have plans to create supplemental content for my in-person clients, as well as to have blended courses that have online and offline components. ### 3. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM, and if you read my other reviews you'll see I'm not in general this overly enthsiastic. In this case I had been looking for a reasonable priced platform that offered everything I need...and then discovered Mastera! They truly offer it all under one roof. Courses, Live Virtual Classes, Blog, Shop, Newsletter function, Text function...everything. It's an easy and amazing system if you are looking to conduct courses on programs online. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** They are still growing and certainly not perfect. That said they are proactive and seem to constantly be working to a better product. If I have to pick one thing I don't like...in fact I hate and it is the only reason I haven't moved my entire business site completely over (I currently maintain a main site blog elsewhere, and the elearning platform separate) is that you can not as of now truly SEO (ie. can't modify the META data on pages and other important things like that). Once that get's fixed and I hope it does, because it's critical for a serious business they will honestly be a near perfect package. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** Give it a try!! It's an amazing all-in-one platform. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** I offer courses, classes, specialized blog material, and exclusive videos. I also use it uniquely that I have a library (custom type posts) that allows downloadable ebooks). I have a secondary shop hosted there as well as a somewhat affiliate shop setup. ### 4. At least full capability to translate to the frondend user. As of right now, website's content can be translated in any language, but not buttons and some other parts. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have an online course, video tutorials and do 1 on 1 and group couching. And planing on membership portal for my students. So 3 different software solutions + membership in the future. Wordpress+LMS, VadooTV and calendly+zoom. I was thinking how to do this on wordpress. As I'm not a techie guy, I was stuck on options and overcrowded market of LMS and video hosting choices. Not anymore. Now I will host stand alone online course (LMS), and also free and paid VOD library, membership, 1 on 1 couching sessions on Mastera.io. Plus now I can use scheduling feature right on my website. And do zoom meetings inside my website as well. ### 5. The back end is intuitive and easy to navigate, the ability to brand and design a functional site is amazing and this may seem simple, but the fact that every feature comes ready made and active fight from the start was great. I am excited about all I am going to be able to do with Mastera in the near future. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** I don't think I have any dislikes as much as curiosity about if certain features will be made available. For example, will there be a strictly audio option available? Or would teachers on my platform be able to sell merchandise directly as a separate vendor or will it all have to go through me? **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mastera has been an online teaching one stop shop, it has solved the packaging of the product issue. The formatting of courses, the booking and subscription tools are all in one place now. Not to mention the ability to sell products right on the platform. ### 6. But when you have to integrate 5 different products to make it happen, it becomes a pain in the ass. This is especially true when it comes to small creators like me, single-handedly taking care of things like hosting, marketing, bookings, payments, and so on... Before Mastera, I was using a WordPress setup with woo-commerce and an LMS plugin. However, it created more problems than it solved. Mastera made it easy. It took me less than a week to move my first course here and start selling it. The no-code interface allowed me to quickly create my own branded website and set up payments and subscriptions without the need to get into the tech stuff. And now I'm planning to ditch WordPress and move all my video content here. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** The only thing that bothers me is the branding. The logo on the footer is too strong. It could be tweaked to make it more subtle. I'd suggest changing it to "Made with Mastera" rather than "Teach on Mastera". The first one looks less like a CTA and yet it still gives you free marketing. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** Monetising and selling my courses, taking consultation call bookings, and sharing my knowledge and expertise with the world. It's designed to do one thing - help people deliver their courses - and it does it very well. Everything is easy and simple to use in Mastera, from creating courses, to hosting content, to billing. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** It's not that I dislike Mastera, but rather I already had some tools that had course/membership function, so it might be more hassle than it's worth to move those courses over. Moving forward, I think I will build future courses on Mastera **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** I definitely recommend Mastera to someone looking to create and deliver an online course, and doesn't already have some kind of membership/LMS platform. It's ease of use, and inclusion of everything you'll need to effectively administer courses and/or coaching programs makes it great. If you already have a membership/LMS tool, you'll still probably find 1 or 2 features that can make your life easier (for me, I really like the unified inbox to communicate with students). **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mastera solves a very common problem - how can someone get an online course out quickly, easily, and without having to figure out 5 different tools. Course lesson planning? Easy in Mastera. Hosting content? Easy in Mastera. Billing? Easy in Mastera. Communicate with students? Easy in Mastera. ### 8. It allows you to truly operate an entire business from a single site as far as customer interaction and interface. It is an elearning platform, but what really makes it stand out from the rest are all of its build in capabilities. It also allows you to create a video section, a blog, customized webpages, internal newsletters, and even text messaging campaigns....and even more. I hae fully adopted it for a project that has been five years in the making **What do you dislike about Mastera?** It's not perfect and is still relatively new so they are working out some small bugs here and there, but do so very actively. Customer service is very responsive. The one big dislike I have, and hope to see changed in the future is that your site does not include an RSS page/feed. This is relatively prohibitive with some automation features. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** Definitely give it a shot. It is IMO the best elearning platform on the market as far as well rounded. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have created a site similar to Udemy that allows us to house courses for a number of qualified experts in our niche. I have a number of elearning platforms available to me, but this is the only one that really hit all the marks. I'm actually considering at some point in the future getting rid of our main site and migrating everything to the Mastera one, but I will have to see some long term market time before taking such a risk. ### 9. I also love to sync the calendar with Outlook, Gmail or a custom iCal calendar. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** For professionals who wanted to start their online coaching business or move from another platform, I highly recommend taking a look at Mastera. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am trying to find a platform where I can do live teaching classes as well as on-demand videos, then maybe on the side sell products for my subscribers. Another feature here is the subscription plans and the fact that the developers listen to the users of the platform and implement new features quickly. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** The only thing I miss is the ability to build sales funnels. However, I hope that such a possibility will appear. There is integration with Zoom, which is nice, but I would prefer the ability to broadcast video using other tools such as Flutin Live. I also miss support for incoming and outgoing webhooks. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** First of all, I have the possibility to offer my training courses to students in several ways. On the one hand, there are subscription accesses and on the other hand, the possibility of permanent access and the possibility of live lessons. I would like more control of what teachers see when they log in, but its good and works. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** Hi Everyone, I learned about Mastera about 4 months ago and this month I was able to completely switch from shopify. What they are creating is perfect for my web offerings and the community that I started two years ago. At the beginning of the pandemic I switched my Shopify site from selling online yoga clothes to a collaborative of healers offering online classes. Shopify isn't built for classes, but it's what I had. I'm grateful to have found Mastera. It's perfect for individuals and groups. It was easy for me to switch everything over, and Masteras support is consistent and great! This month I was able to cancle my Shopify site!!! We must not forget that an LMS or platform like Mastera is a tool after all, so it should be easy to use. And thankfully it is. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** I had some trouble in the beginning setting up my very first course which probably isn't that surprising. Even though the learning curve in Mastera is not that steep, you have to get used to the inherent logic. Thankfully enough the support team was very helpful so that I know now what I do and how to do it. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** If you're looking for an all-in-one teaching platform, Mastera is worth a try. The interface is easy to use even for non-technical people and the setup of courses, videos and lessons is quite intuitive. Of course, it takes some time to get used to it, but that is something that applies to almost every new tool in your digital toolbox. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** After months of thinking about conveying my knowledge in online courses, Mastera finally made it possible for me to start. I had a look at some other LMS first but they didn't convince me so that I postponed my courses over and over again. ### 15. I also love that we can build a whole website with a simple builder/editor. Plus, the other built-in things, such as marketing emails and integrating with Zoom (and, at the time of writing, YouTube Live will be added soon, hopefully) is great. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** I'm looking forward to more integrations, including the likes of Goog Meet, for those who prefer it to Zoom. Also, I'd like to see more options with formating of terminology, such as "programs" (US spelling) to be not just "programmes", but the option (as other platforms do) to call them "courses", "workshops", etc., as well as other customisation for terminology such as "module" or "section" within a "course" or "workshop". I'd also like to see some sort of a preview of the options available when building a website to go along with what the templates are called. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** At its most basic level, creating an additional revenue stream. On a more practical level, I've avoided having to spend a monthly fee elsewhere, and now have access to a platform that looks extremely promising as long as Mastera continues to listen to its users. ### 17. Don't miss out on this! **What do you dislike about Mastera?** At its current state Mastera doesn't seem to be much different than other LTD's , but look at the roadmap and cost. There's no learning curve. It's very intuitive. And it does almost everything I need. But the best of is it gives me the total control over my personal academy. No slaveship deals. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** I couldnd find anything to dislike, but I do miss some features that could elevate it to the next level, IMHO: 1 - Google Meet and other-than-Zoom meeting services integration. 2 - Portuguese language option 3 - Paypal and other-than-Stripe gateway integrations 4 - Ability to have more than one payment gateway account in the same academy: this would be very interesting for collaborators based in different countries to work/sell the same project and avoid unnecessary transfers and double taxation. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** if you're looking for an easy and intuitive LSM platform and/or don't want to spend the amount the market share leaders are charging, I believe you could find a great deal with Mastera. I'm still somewhat new as a user, but I can feel it they're very promising and seroius about what they do. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'll finally have one place only where I can handle all my learning content, and also control my students, payments, marketing and everything else. It's a bless to find such a great but also viable way to have my academy in my own url and not inside someone else's public platform. Mastera is a simple-to-use intuitive tool from website building to scheduling classes and creating marketing campaigns. It lets you create whole online courses, drop-in live classes and you can even have people schedule 1-on-1 lessons. It even lets you sell products. The ability to add additional apps down the line is hugely appealing too - having android, iOS and Apple TV apps will definitely be part of our strategy once we have grown our audience a little. Another big plus is having one place for customer interactions by email and text message - basically it is several integral saas solutions in one, done well. And as a new company, no doubt there will be a lot of improvements over time. The Facebook group and community around the app is top notch too. I'm so excited to grow my business and stay connected with my customer-base from one place. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** Onboarding and getting started is a little bit of a steep learning curve. **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** If you do video based teaching, this is the future. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** To reduce the amount of software tools required for my wife and I to run our teaching business, to give clients/customers a great experience from start to finish. It's early days yet and we are just in the process of recording and editing the first lessons and setting everything up, but so far so good. ### 20. I can sell courses, programs, have live classes with the integration of Zoom. Video hosting is included and i can also build my website. I can run my marketing with emails and with sms. I can do an add on for mobile and TV apps as soon my business will grow. The UI is clean and team is dedicated and working to add every day more new features and integration to make it a leading player in its niche. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** I would like to see more integrations. Because everything is provided in the one platform I can spend less time working on stitching things together and more time developing my content. The features that are present appear to be well developed. I'm impressed by the quality of the outputs being created, which will improve the experience of my users. Big thumbs up I also appreciate that uploaded course content is woven in with other delivery methods including live sessions. You can also sell products at the same time which gives you a unique opportunity to sell products that you might be teaching or which might be integral to the material that is being presented. Ties everything together very well. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** Because everything is handled for you, the amount of customisability for your platform is limited to what is supported by Mastera. If you plan to make the most out of what has been provided (which is pretty comprehensive) then this isn't going to be a problem Signing up was straightforward but again fairly restrictive. Accounts are tied to email addresses which can be fiddly to work with if you are working on multiple platforms at the same time. There is a partner program which is nice, but the features of that system are still needing to be developed. Would like some way to remove linked accounts from my partner account **Recommendations to others considering Mastera:** It's definitely worth checking out, if you have the need to deliver eLearning content. Especially so if you have an idea for a course and want to build it from the ground up. **What problems is Mastera solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are many options for delivering eLearning content nowadays, and Mastera is a good option. I have valued many Saas alternatives. I am very happy to have found Master as an Appsumo offer, since it has many current and future capabilities looking at its roadmap. It is a very good option to be able to have free plans, memberships and single payments for video on demand, live classes and complete programs available in a single site. The ability to have an LMS, a website, and an email and marketing service all in one makes it very attractive. The zoom integration for meetings and live class is great, in such an easy way I look forward to the Spanish translation of the site. I bought License Tier 2 because I plan to launch more training courses in the future. It has all she needs for a relatively lower price than Kajabi. I also purchased a Mastera website for myself so I can have a look first hand. I've yet to explore all features but Mastera really looks promising. I would be recommending it to others who are looking for more budget-friendly hosting for their digital products. **What do you dislike about Mastera?** It only has Stripe as payment integration at the moment (although they said it's in the product roadmap).
