What do you like best about MarketMuse?

The best part about MarketMuse is the topic model. Their topic model might or might not resonate with google's model. But I would say they are closest in the industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

Mostly NONE. It might not be helpful with briefs and First draft for some niches with low competition. But for a low competition niche, I think you only need their research tool and optimize tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If I could only use one tool for SEO, it would be MarketMuse."

What do you like best about MarketMuse?

My favorite feature is the Optimize option, which makes optimizing an article straightforward. Using MarketMuse has provided consistent results in our SEO rankings. In the past couple of years, I've been able to rank on page 1 for at least 50 keywords, and it would have been way harder without this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

When we used the First Drafts service at my previous company, the articles were subpar. Maybe they already fixed this, but it was obvious they were using writers whose first language is not English and did not know about the topics they were writing about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MarketMuse?

The best thing about MarketMuse is the kind of in-depth content research it lets you do. It can be a little confusing initially, but once you get the hang of it, you'll know its true worth.

I like how nicely MarketMuse tells me exactly what my competitors are doing that's helping them to rank and what I should do to outrank them.

It also gives a glimpse of the keyword gaps that helps me rank for keywords my competitors are not targeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

1. The user interface needs improvement. I'm not saying it's terrible, but it's not the most user-friendly software I've used.

2. MarketMuse had a decent free plan earlier that offered enough for beginners. They have decreased the credits recently, thereby rendering the software pretty much useless for anything beyond testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MarketMuse Has Transformed My Content Creation"

What do you like best about MarketMuse?

The Optimize section of MarketMuse is a game-changer. I can run a query and get feedback for my content creation. This feedback includes a target word count, along with topic mentions needed to rank for that particular query. Thanks to a content score that MarketMuse has developed, my progress is measured as I create my content. This tool is a great asset and motivator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

The content editor itself can sometimes have a bit of lag (not usually noticeable, except that it sometimes leads to misspellings or a word that I end up mistyping as I'm waiting for the editor to catch up). What problems is MarketMuse solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use MarketMuse to analyse SERP, get most relevant competing sites, get list of relevant questions. I somehow trust MM most to analyse SERP. I can also see, which site ranks due to content and which site ranks due to other factors (backlinks, domain authority). I can exactly deduce, which parts of content are key.

Once text is finished/half-written, I optimize it with MarketMuse. I like starting with optimization once content is half written. It speeds the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to write and optimize an unlimited number of articles. UI is pretty nice.

Keyword optimizations which are suggested are pretty great.

Less number of locations which are added. Adding other goes like India and other South-East Asian countries would be great.

There are sometimes very frequent downtimes and it logs you out automatically.
