Great UI and Easy Navigation, But Needs Improvement **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) This reviewer's identity has been verified by our review moderation team. They have asked not to show their name, job title, or picture. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google One Tap using a business email account **Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate. **Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026 **What do you like best about MapsAlive?** I like the user interface—the colors and the easy navigation make it simple to use. **What do you dislike about MapsAlive?** The user interface and overall user experience are good. I also like the variety of layers that are available to use, and how interactive it can be, which helps me create all the diagrams I need. However, I think the pricing is a bit high, and it would be better if it could be lower. The AI is very good to help you with the workflow and ideas but it needs to be faster. The pricing is not suitable for all users; I believe it should be lower or provide more plans. The support team is professional and helpful, and you feel as if they are humans, not robots. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had an issue with making a preview for my ideas and creating new ones in making a creative design for my presentation in urban planning, but I utilized it and it helped me to do it in a good way to make a map interactive and connected it to my Notion app, and it was helpful. I needed to make a plan to show the number of birds and trees in my region, and I struggled with the creation of the plan, but now we can create a plan 2 times faster, and now we have created a good plan for the area. ### 2. Mapping Magic Made Hectic **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Corey K. | Support Staff, Construction, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024 **What do you like best about MapsAlive?** MapsAlive is a platform that has obstructed the way how I present my data. The poor features are not enabling me to create captivating and visually appealing maps that does not grab the attention of my audience. **What do you dislike about MapsAlive?** The less user friendly interface and customizable options are not good making it difficult to personalize my maps to reflect my brand identity. The inclusion of videos, images and hyperlinks has taken my presentations to a level decreasing the viewer experience. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** MapsAlive needs to benefit from customization options not allowing for greater creativity and uniqueness in interactive maps. The process of inputting data is time consuming and confusing at times leading to errors. The pricing structure needs to be more transparent making it easier to assess the value, for money. ### 4. MapsAlive is a poor tool, for creating maps **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Soutchay S. | Compensation Manager, Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. MapsAlive is the problematic range of multimedia elements it provides. These elements decrease the appeal of maps. Make them poor in engaging. **What do you dislike about MapsAlive?** It is a bit difficult to master these features. Once you spend some time exploring the program it becomes quite a hectic tool to use. I have also noticed that the photo editing feature seems to be the focus of this product leaving other functionalities lacking in comparison. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Without a use at present, it feels more like a curiosity rather than a practical tool. It would be better if there was accessibility to the version for convenient use, from anywhere. ### 5. The drag and drop interface is simple to use and there are a ton of templates and elements. **What do you dislike about MapsAlive?** It can be a bit expensive for small businesses and individuals, it doesn't integrate with a lot of software which could be a problem for a lot of people. It takes some time to learn it especially if you are new to map-making. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is making maps more engaging and informative. It allows adding a variety of multimedia elements in our maps such as text and videos, making the map more engaging and informative. The maps here can be updated in real time, which is useful when creating maps that track data. ### 6. Just trying to get a feel of new programs and technologies. We didn't expect to actually be able to map out things like a floor plan and other little things! **What do you dislike about MapsAlive?** It was a little tricky at first, no lie about that at all, but we were able to understand the program a lot easier, and that was just by utilizing the help section. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** I personally don't have a concrete use for it at the moment. It is easy to use, but you will need to spend some time here. **What problems is MapsAlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solved my problem of creating the interactive maps.
