The ability to tell the AI how to pronounce words generally worked to fix errors. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** The biggest limitation for the plan I was using was the limit of 10 saved voice clips (each limited to 2,000 characters). The limitation this caused was that when going back to edit the generated audio, if the clip had been previously overwritten to stay within the 10 text generation clips, it required a completely new generation which takes time and uses the generation credits (which were generally ample on a plan offering 2 hours of audio generated per month). **What problems is LOVO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lovo is solving the problem that most text to speech voices are very robotic and don't sound human. Very easy to get MP3 or WAV files exported and saved to my PC, so I can edit the files in Audacity and then import them into the presentation applilcation I'm using the sound bytes for. Like the volume level for the audio which is being generated. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** It would be nice to have a "global" pronounciation table, instead of needing to build one for each project (or copy projects). It seems that if the pronounciation is not quite right and I have to regenerate it, then I am being charged for the regeneration of the text-to-speech script. Some guidance on better use of the pronounciation tables and the use of spaces and hyphens would be helpful. We create a lot of videos for our promotions, and normally would hire a voice actor to do the voice over work. There are a few problems with hiring a voice actor. First is timeframe, which could be 24-48 hours. Next is cost, which could easily range to the hundreds if not low thousands. And final is the fexibility. If we make a last minute change to the script, we are at the mercy of our voice actor to re-record it, which could take another 24-48 hours. Our process is simple. We first write up our script, then I'll use my "non-professional" voice to figure out timing and enunciation. Next I would send that to our voice actor to read and record, then wait for them to send it back. I'd then lay the track to the video. If we wanted to make a last minute change to the script, it will be a 24-48 hour wait for our voice actor to get the new script, record it and send it back. Lovo takes care of all of this. I have a HUMAN sounding voice that sounds 100% legit. In fact, I think LOVO sounds better than our voice actor. Next is the cost. LOVO is a fraction of the cost. Like pennies! And the most important thing about LOVO is that we can make changes to our script and have the new audio ready in seconds as well as get multiple different voices! No excessive paywalling of necessary features, just the basics and then you are set. I get access to timeline editing features that are comparable to leading video editing software, but made user friendly enough that I generally grasp what to do just from observing it. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** Sometimes when you revise a sentence in the timeline you experience a ripple effect on every timing that occurs afterward, all the rest of your segments move outward to accommodate your new change. Makes sense, but make it clear how to turn that OFF. It is a lot of manual work to put everything back in perfect sequence. The variety of voices could be better. English-speaking male voices tend to be oversaturated on the higher, reedy side, not as many deep, scratchy, gruff, gritty, and there are almost no US dialects (midwestern, Southern, Brooklyn, Boston, etc.). I feel like this is true for Aussie and English national voices too. Among voices they do have (particularly male), many aren't robust enough to express different feelings and they default to sounding like they are reading a legalese document. Simple test, make it read "haha" and you'll know if they are robust or not. There is a cap on how many minutes of audio I can create and I have no idea whether I am approaching it. One day it's going to hit me. I think about it every time I generate a new line. Customer service and feedback features are always present, but be prepared to have to re-explain whatever happened up to a day after it happens, because apparently no screenshots or activity captures are shared at the moment of submission. Still, nice that anyone even tries to do follow-up. **What problems is LOVO solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am one person with one kind of voice. People get tired of hearing just me and might resonate better with other speakers. But I can't just get any old person to speak on any topic, they often need to have a specific kind of expertise, and with that requirement alone I have reached a price bracket among voice actors I cannot afford and simply do not have time for. Create good voice campaigns using LOVO's AI. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Sidharth K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024 **What do you like best about LOVO?** What I most want to highlight of this voice generator using AI is its simplicity, it is as simple as entering the application to write any random phrase you need, the program gives you the result using its AI, it has multi-language support, customization options are wonderful you can manipulate the speed of pronunciation phrases, voice style, including emotions, the voice is certainly more realistic than other AI I've used in the past. The interface has an incredible ease of use, we have very fun sound effects available for those campaigns that we want to have personality, it can be adapted to any type of content just program it. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** I see no flaws in Lovo since I am using it, the reality is that it is a very well done AI system, however, it is still aimed at unprofessional campaigns, for those companies looking for professional systems I do not recommend it, many times the voice generator is locked, is the voice is cut getting a little robotic tone, but nothing that can not be fixed with good programming. **What problems is LOVO solving and how is that benefiting you?** We mostly implement this application to create content for our website, our social networks and some services to customers looking for marketing campaigns for your company, video editing is another point that we take into account as it allows us to edit and achieve good quality results, I must say that since we started using LOVO we are satisfied with the results obtained, before we lasted a long time with editing video for the website, or with the creation of content to attract the attention of the public, this time has been reduced, and the best thing is that you do not need much experienced to handle it. ### 49. It is really amazing and easy to use. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** I wish there were more choices of Italian voices with more accents. **What problems is LOVO solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need to create listening comprehension activities in Italian and in French, so this allows for quick development of audio to give the students for practice. ### 50. Regeneration of the vocie changes the inflection in certani voices, so you can re-run the block if you dont like the way it sounds. As this feature develops, it will provided much more natural sounding speach for some of the more generic voices. **What do you dislike about LOVO?** There are still quite a few vocies that sound robotic and unnatural. Being able to stress emphasis on syllables and general disposition of the pro voices is nice, but you should be able to control that on all voices plus allow for time adjustment to allow for different cadences. Being able to use the same voice with different dialects would be nice, like a southern or Brooklyn accent. **What problems is LOVO solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the voice generation for narration in training material. It allows us to rapidly iterate a script and change voiceover to exactly match what wee need said, even after generating the material.
