## Logos Reviews
  ### 1. All My Biblical and Theological Study Resources in One Place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob B. | Director of Free Online Education, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Logos?**

I can find all of my resources for Biblical and theological studies in a single place.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

The resources are nearly as expensive as physical resources.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logos makes it easy for all our students to receive their resources, wherever they are, in a single place, designed for study and reseach.

  ### 2. The Best Bible Resource and Teaching Prep Software Available

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Lead Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Logos?**

Logos has a multitude of features I use in my sermon prep. Side by side resources that keep in sync with one another (commentaries and scripture), sermon builder, the ability to search my personal notes, and cross-platform compatibility (I use it on Windows, Mac, and iOS) make it indispensable for my ministry use.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

My only complaint is that the initial startup can be slow. There are so many features that most users will likely need to spend some time with Faithlife's video tutorials to get the most out of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Consider the base packages carefully. There are many resources available in each, and some of the resources you miss out on by buying a lesser priced package may be essential resources for your use case.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a tremendous library of physical books at my disposal, but utilizing them effectively is difficult. My Logos library is a significantly larger library than my physical library, but a greater percentage of resources are accessible due to the nature of Logos' search tools. Logos has also recently added the ability to search for quotes and topics from books in your physical library which a user has scanned the barcode of. This physical library search is a life saver.

  ### 3. The most complete Bible study tool on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Logos?**

One of the best aspect of Logos is how easy it is to search for anything. There are multiple ways to search, and the results always return accurately and thoroughly. I also enjoy the unending library allowing me to add virtually any book I can think of. And of course, making notes and highlights, organizing them and being able to quickly find them later is a great feature. All in all, I would highly recommend Logos. It allows you to quickly find whatever you are searching for, saving you lots of time searching through books, and also providing information and resources you may not have considered looking for.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

Logos does have a learning curve to it. The software is so expansive, that it can take time to get to know all of the tools. But once you spend enough time in the software, it will become second nature. My recommendation would be to customize things for yourself, which will allow you to more quickly become familiar with the interface.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logos saves me much time and money that I would have spent on resources (books, encyclopedias etc.) elsewhere. Having them all in one easy to use software makes me more likely to get the most out of each resource I do invest in.

  ### 4. The ultimate tool in Biblical research and study

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Logos?**

The fact that everything is integrated, from translations and books in my library; to commentaries and linguistic tools. Every aspect of the software interacts seamlessly with the rest.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

The software itself and some of the resources can be fairly pricey. The software can become resource heavy for a personal-use computer.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of Biblical research, sermon preparation, and theological resource production; Logos cuts the amount of time dedicated to research and writing down exponentially.

  ### 5. The best bible research and software database available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler B. | Sales Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Logos?**

I. Love. Logos. I am a seminary student who aspires to pastoral ministry, and I use Logos bible software nearly every day. Its resources, tools, and functionality are key contributors to my ability to succeed in school and prepare for ministry.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

I wish it wasn't so expensive, but totally understand why it is. If I had all the money in the world I would update it constantly. Other than that, I have no complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Use it and use it well!

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logos is providing me with a one stop, digital, easy to use place to do all my Bible research and sermon preparation. It really is an invaluable resource for my life and ministry.

  ### 6. Powerful Software to Boost Your Bible Study

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Logos?**

Logos is a very feature-rich Bible study tool. My favorite feature allows you to customize your screen and save your screen so that you can quickly switch between different layouts that enhance your study. My favorite layout places the Bible on the left-hand side and places various study guides on the right-hand side.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

Many of the resources I can find free in other Bible software tools and in the public domain are not free on Logos. As a result, I still have to visit other websites to glean insight into a Bible verse or passage.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

If you are looking to invest in Bible software, invest in Logos. It can probably do everything that you need it to do.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logos has helped me to speed up my Bible study and enabled me to see the relationship between all sorts of verses and passages with its many reference tools. Logos has helped me in my efforts to write books related to the Bible.

  ### 7. The best research program on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven D. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Logos?**

Logos has a wide range of titles giving me access to a library that rivals major seminaries and universities on my computer. All the titles are indexed, making research quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

Logos requires a lot of storage and memory to run well, and I had to upgrade my computer to keep up with it. If it were less memory-intensive, that would be great

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Keep an eye out for the free book of the month they provide, as it can help expand your research library.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Logos for sermon research and my academic work. It has saved me weeks in research, making me much more productive. The program's efficiency allows me to spend time on other important matters.

  ### 8. Best Bible Software. Period

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron A. | Systems Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Logos?**

This is simply the best software for studying a researching all things related to the Bible. Logos offers so many resources and features that I believe it is impossible to become an expert in every area. I use the passage guide regulary, and the factbook.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It can be quite a learning curve and also tends to be expensive. Some features are not as well documented, like the sentence diagram tool. I think offering more free video lessons would be benificial.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No business problems are being solved since that is not the nature of the product. But I am solving lots of problems in Bible study. I am able to research in the original languages quicker, find related resources, and perform powerful searches on the Biblical text.

  ### 9. A great library with more than you need

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Logos?**

While Logos is a library with hundreds of resources (Bible translations, dictionaries, commentaries, books, etc.), I use it mainly for Bible Study. There are other tools such as Youversion's Bible app that have so many features that using it as a proper Bible study tool is veri inconvenient (i.e, using their search to find a specific verse).
I like the fact that I can lookup the original greek/hebrew words, I can highlight, add notes, and search the entire library for topics, words, specific verses, etc.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

I have many resources in my library, but I always end up using less than 10. Their pricing is fair (less than 4USD per resource), and I understand that one of the reasons they can give that pricing is that they sell in bulk. But if you plan to use Logos as I do (just Bible Study), I highly recommend you look for some free alternatives (such as Biblegateway+BibleHub or eSword) before purchasing one of Logos' packages. If you plan on getting Logos, please check the resources' list beforehand and make a list of the ones you'll definetily use, and see if the package's price makes sense if you'd only end up using those.

If you enjoy reading and discovering new books and plan on using Logos as a library (as they intend you to use), and not just for Bible Study, go ahead and get the best package you can afford.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to have a Hub for my Bible Studies, I use logos and don't really need any other tool. I like their smartphone app as well and I use it as my main Bible app. All your highlights, notes and library are synced between all your devices, so you can study on the go and take quick notes on the go. They even have a web version of the app, so no matter where you are, you can access your entire library.

  ### 10. Best Bible Software on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Logos?**

I like that this Bible software is a one stop shop for studying, teaching, preaching and just simple reading

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It can be a bit pricey to get all the books and tools that you may want to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Yes I would highly recommend this software to others to use if they are serious about studying God's Word

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Logos to help me in preparing for preacing and to properly exeget a text. I also use the counseling module to help to prepare for counseling sessions.

  ### 11. Good product but expensive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jami B. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Logos?**

I can find anything basically for studying the Word of God. They offer free books each month, which adds to my library, and I love that!

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

The price was high, and the price for upgrades was high as well.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can study the Word of God efficiently because I have access to many commentaries.

  ### 12. The Best Study Bible Tool!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel S. | Digital E-Commerce Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Logos?**

It's an amazing and powerful program filled with so much helpful tools for the serious bible student and an interface that you can customize to your own style of learning.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It is expensive depending on the package you plan to buy. Logos does offer a payment plan. But, in the end it is expensive. Yet, you can compare the total value of the package versus actual retail purchase.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to save a lot of space from the many books being offered and books that may no longer be available. Tools that can help the search and research at a much faster pace. The ability to use it on PC's, tablets and smartphones any where.

  ### 13. In-Depth and More than Enough

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | Worship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Logos?**

Logos is a perfect companion to anyone pursuing seminary. The large, reputable library of translations and supporting commentaries are useful at developing a rock-solid theology and a deeper understanding of beliefs.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

While the software is valuable, the learning curve can be a bit overwhelming when navigating the resoures.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

When combined with pastoral study, undergraduate work, seminary studies, or just for fun, use Logos to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge for what, how, and why you believe what you do. Use the software with an open mind and allow yourself to be a sponge while learning and preparing.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logos software aids in writing papers and doing research on biblical theology and history.

  ### 14. Best bible centered app ever created!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodolfo J. C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Logos?**

The ease of use, the multiple windows option, the customization to my bible study needs. Logos has rendered all my other bible study software and print useless. I really love this tool, and it has opened up a whole new world of Christ centered, scholarly supported bible study and research.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It's really expensive, but well worth the price. Sometimes, the updates come with a lot of bugs at first, but they get sorted out quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Just go for it and learn the ropes quickly. They have great instructional videos and onboarding support.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bible study, space organization (no physical books at the house anymore), and accessing titles that are no where else to be found.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I love the updated platform. It provides a great option for scholar, pastor, or lay-person research. Logos is easy to use and make language study simple

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

I wish the interface for using multiple versions greek text were cleaner.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

It's a great platform. I would recommend using both the web-app and the mobile app because they are faster interfaces than the desktop app. I would just be careful to make sure your PC has enough memory for logos or else it will be slow.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using this to do my study for all of my sermons and biblical presentations

  ### 19. Best Bible Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro T. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Logos?**

Logos has all the resources you can think of in one place. More than you'll probably use. Commentaries, Books, Media, Key Words, Sermon Prep and many more. The dashboard gives a glance at the different sections you can focus on. Devotional Time, Study Time, Sermon Prep Time, Deeper Theological Studies. Take a class, contribute your own information.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It's so much info that you can get a little overwhelmed. Also, the amount of resources causes it to be slow sometimes. Of course that may depend on the computer you are using. There are so many things that can be done that it takes a couple of tutorials to get the most out of the program. But it takes a lot of time to figure that out.

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Logos is part of the Faithlife family which integrates the presentation software called Proclaim! That makes it easier for pastors to easily create slides directly from Logos to Proclaim without must effort. In addition the Sermon Editor also gives you the option of creating fill-in-the-blanks handouts.

You'll have at your fingertips thousands of resources: Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, Greek & Hebrew resources, illustrations, media, devotional reading resources, writing your own notes and prayer lists that you get to create. You can pay over time or all at once depending on your financial ability.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preparing sermons in a shorter period of time. The resources opens you up to a new world of information that you didn't know existed.

  ### 20. Best software ever for research

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Logos?**

It takes quite a while to load and to open on your computer

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

It's a must have software for study and integrates with all other Faithlife products.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it a lot for research and classes but it takes a while to load the program

  ### 21. Most Comprehensive Bible Software Program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro T. | Pastor, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Logos?**

The graphics are easy to ready and has so many resources that you'll have more than you need to study, prepare sermons, lessons. You can prepare sermons directly from Logos and export the sermon in slides to Proclaim. Logos has apps for iPads and iPhones too and everything would be in sync.
Logos can become one stop shop for all your Bible-related activities - sermon notes, sermon creation, devotional notes, journaling. If you are away from your computer you can access your account through the web as if you were directly on the app.

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

The overwhelming amount of resources slows the software down. You can easily get lost with so much that is available. Organizing the screens, and becoming familiar with all the tools will take a lot of patience. The videos to learn how to use Logos are great (if you have hours upon hours to sit and learn it all).

**Recommendations to others considering Logos:**

Logos continues to add more features that makes it more valuable to the everyday Bible reader, theologian, Bible teacher, pastor, chaplain and others interested in Bible languages and history. Once you've gotten the hang of using it you will be able to have everything at your fingertips. Your personal notes, your sermons, your devotional thoughts, customized readings, prayer lists, sharing with groups through Faithlife. Take it with you through your mobile devices and tablets.

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The books, commentaries, lexicons and Bibles in my bookshelf haven't been accessed much. The time spent looking through each book has been cut down to a matter of seconds where most of the resources can be accessed.

  ### 22. Great for research papers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen K. | Children’s Director , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Logos?**

I like that it copies my irony information straight into Microsoft word

**What do you dislike about Logos?**

It takes forever to load the program and download the new libraries

**What problems is Logos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I know of right now.
