The best thing is that the person should not worry about the files that they must backup, since the program is in charge of organizing the backup automatically. **What do you dislike about Livedrive?** The program has minimal errors such as eliminating the configurations carried out by the user when the session is closed and opened again. I consider that the configurations must be saved in the user's profile. **Recommendations to others considering Livedrive:** Livedrive works great and allows you to schedule backups to be performed automatically. Backup and restore times are very short, since their servers are usually fast. In addition, its availability and stability are unmatched. I recommend it. **What problems is Livedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, backups in the organization where I work were stored on local servers, which was not feasible due to the high cost of maintenance of computer equipment and failures with irreparable loss of information. By using Livedrive, we were able to migrate all backups made on traditional local servers and be able to synchronize them between all devices. ### 7. Of recent, their service has been failing with lost online documents. It is also unable to fully update/add files to their system. When I raised this issue with them their customer service threatened to erase all my files within 3 days unless I agreed to continue with them. See below email extract; "If you do not wish to contact my colleagues, the closure will be actioned automatically within 3 business days, and once this is done any data transferred to Livedrive will become inaccessible and deleted from our servers shortly afterwards. This said, I would like to assist on this matter more directly, and resolve the root cause. Given the circumstances and situation, I would like to discuss this with you directly over the phone and, if necessary, do a remote connection and have a closer look at what's happening. Please let me know if this is acceptable, and what number I can reach you on, as well as what time would be convenient for you. Backs up multiple versions of documents. Unlimited storage for re-sellers meaning no worries about large video files etc. **What do you dislike about Livedrive?** Briefcase for business is a nightmare. Slow to sync across multiple devices. Changes made on one PC often don't show up on other devices for quite a while making team collaboration a no go. Customer support is terrible. **Recommendations to others considering Livedrive:** LiveDrive provides both Cloud Share for files you use (Briefcase) and automatic cloud backup for folders of your choice. The idea behind the briefcase is you use it like a normal folder on your computers and it syncs these documents between your devices. Sadly it's terrible and no use in a business environment as documents or changes created on one computer take too long to become visible on another. I stopped reselling this service to my clients for this reason. The backup on the other hand is great, and as a re-seller, gives me unlimited and un-metered cloud backup to offer to my business clients for a fee. Whilst the initial outlay is expensive, the prices I pass on to my clients more than covered the annual cost. There are some flaws however. There are no error alerts if the computer being backed up crashes or the software experiences a problem. This means the client must check manually that the software is functioning. Another issue is the speed in which you can recover your data from the cloud. Whilst it's fine for a few files, downloading GB's is frustratingly slow. The biggest issue with LiveDrive in general is their terrible customer service. When I was having so many problems with the BriefCase aspect of the services, they would take days to reply to emails and sometimes not at all leaving me red faced trying to explain the situation to my clients. **What problems is Livedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing offsite cloud back to my clients ensures they files are safe in the event an on site disaster theft, fire etc. ### 9. It also has free applications to watch movies, open documents or listen to music directly from your files in the cloud. What I loved most is that it is too easy to install the desktop application, upload your files and documents to the cloud automatically or manually and have access to them whenever you want. There is no limit in size or quantity. It offers support for different versions of the same file that you overwrite and that you want to recover for some reason. You can also recover files that you deleted by mistake. **What do you dislike about Livedrive?** An efficient software and the best thing is that it occupies little space. All the features are very good. The interface is very nice and almost intuitive. Therefore there is nothing that you do not like. **What problems is Livedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** You can also customize the upload and download limits of files, customize if the changes are made in real time or at the time you choose, you can give priority to certain file types, in general the configuration options are almost unlimited and you can adapt them to your needs. ### 11.
