**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

What I appreciate most about Litera Compare is how flexible and fast it is when it comes to comparing documents. Whether I'm at my desk or working remotely, the email-based workflow allows me to send files and receive redlines without ever needing to open the main application. It handles various formats, including DOCX, PDF, and RTF, and even provides dual comparisons for added clarity. This efficiency is especially helpful when I need to compare multiple documents at once. Additionally, its integration with Exchange and iManage ensures it fits smoothly into my daily routine. **What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

While Litera Compare offers robust features, it does come with a few quirks. A frequent annoyance is its habit of incorrectly updating the Table of Contents by adding unwanted heading levels, an issue that typically does not occur when working directly in Word. Some users have also experienced layout problems when comparing documents while running other applications like Intapp Time, which can lead to crashes or resource conflicts. Furthermore, the removal of desktop shortcuts for the PDF version in recent updates has caused confusion, forcing users to find manual workarounds. These challenges can disrupt workflows and often necessitate additional support.

Litera Compare addresses the difficulty of manually tracking document changes by automating redlines and comparisons for formats such as DOCX and PDF. It helps me save time by enabling fast comparisons through email, which is especially useful when I’m working remotely or assisting users in Citrix environments. The dual redline capability, along with its integration with Exchange and iManage, makes it a dependable solution for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in document workflows.

I like the ease of use. User and administrator friendly. Isn't complicated when setting up.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

There is not a lot of dislikes that I have with Litera Compare. It is a simple product overall. The only minor complaint I have is that I was unable to find the Dump reports folder that was shown in the installation guide.

Ability to compare documents in various formats including PDF, Word, Excel. It has a robust functionality makes it easy to compare complex documents, highlighting even the smallest changes with accuracy.

There is no central admin. Configuration is controlled via config file that need to be distributed manually to all users.

It accurately identifies changes between document versions, catching errors that might be missed during manual reviews. This ensures that all edits, additions, or deletions are tracked meticulously.

what I like compared to other programs I have used is that it can compare documents in word, pdf, excell, ppp etc. and comparison can also be viewed in various formats.

it would be good if one license  purchased  by a company could be shared between at least 2 employees.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

Overall the best thing about this software is how easy it is to see the highlighted changes between documents. In the legal world we go through lots of documents and this just makes life easier. It's nice it works with docs PDFs etc.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Although you can use this in the cloud on mobile I don't feel it works as well as doing it on the desktop it's just hard to compare documents on a mobile device in my opinion.

This helps the firm save time by seeing errors and spotting changes easily and being able to inform attorneys right away.

Litera Compare quickly and easily compares all kinds of documents, including those that have tables inside, complicated numbering schemes, and also pictures and graphs.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Actually haven't found anything yet that I would dislike about Litera Compare.

**What problems is Litera Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litera Compare easilyl compares documents that Word feature won't. It also works well with known DMS systems like iManage and NetDocuments.

No cons as of today. I have not seen much to develope an opinion on dislikes.

Ease of running a comparison - highlight both files, right click and you're done! It also allows customization of the analysis - i.e., do you want to see image changes, format changes or just a simple text comparison?

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Very little to dislike; it's a powerful program that allows you to run comparisons against and across multiple file types. If forced to pick one thing that could be improved, it would be the amount of time it takes to run a comparison - it's typically only a second or two, even for very large, complex documents, but that can add up when reviewing an entire suite of documents.

**Recommendations to others considering Litera Compare:**

Take the time to better understand all of its features and integration opportunities. It's a powerful product.

**What problems is Litera Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workshare Compare allows quick, reliable comparisons across file types (word, powerpoint, excel, PDF, etc.). It allows me to highlight changes that have been made to our documents and to send professional comparisons to counterparties when we review their forms.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

I like Litera because it is the best cloud docs software and it provides great assistance at the time of doing any written work and it also offers me the great opportunity to correct any error when transcribing the text. We can also transfer our data with our team members and other colleagues. Litera is the best way to store our data and documents in a more efficient way. All of its features and functions are very outstanding and also easy to use. It allows me to create excellent collaboration network using a variety of pre-installed forms, which covers my professional demands according to my needs and style of requirements. Some of its features that I like the most are those of applying underlining, inserting images, being able to change the different size.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

The disadvantage of this software is that it cannot easily manage all of our important data and documents because it is not a best tracker for implying over multiple users at a time. Litera is the best software for file sharing but due to the bad internet connection, we cannot easily share our data and documents with our team members. The auto synchronization with the desktop is also a big hurdle in our ways of working. Although it has many productive features and functionalities, but it still needs to improve alot.

I really like Litera software because it is the best for our business and it can easily manage all of our important data and documents in a more efficient way. It is very user friendly software and also reliable for everyone.  I really like Litera software because it’s all features are very outstanding and also easy to use. It is a free and open supply platform that's straightforward to put in on any platorm. Litera builds and manages our different documents and allows the best result through this platform.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

Workshare Compare seems to capture text movement within a document significantly better than the built in text comparison function in Microsoft Word. In addition, recent improvements to the "Send Comparison" seems to give significantly more options (or at least the options are more accessible) for the format of how the comparison file is sent to the e-mail recipient.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Nothing comes to mind. Worshare Compare just works!

**Recommendations to others considering Litera Compare:**

Easy to use and useful almost every day.

**What problems is Litera Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I compare documents on a regular basis to very quickly identify differences between very similar documents. Sometimes this is to confirm that only names have changed - other times it is to confirm what additional larger sections of the document have been changed or added. Also, I have recently been using program to compare text which is extracted from a PDF (using optical character recognition) against standard form documents or against a document produced by an assistant to confirm that the draft I am working with in Word is correct.

I like that you are able to compare two documents without using the windows track changes.  

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Sometimes it messes up with the format of the document (changes the font/adds spaces where there is nothing in the word document)

Reviewing changes made by my superior is much easier. It shows you exactly which changes have been made, what words have been added/moved, and it does so with all different color, so it is easy to spot things.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

I heavily depend on and primarily use Workshare for its Workshare Compare feature. With it, I am able to share documents with anyone in the network, and they are able to modify any document. I can see the modified version immediately, which helps to make an easy and quick version available to everyone almost at once.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

I have found that when a document modified by a user differs from a Word format, it does not work as well, for example, with a PDF file document.

**What problems is Litera Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My colleagues and I can work outside the office and be as efficient as if we were together at a round table, if not more. This has helped with critical deadlines and overall efficiency.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

I primarily utilize the Workshare Compare feature of this product for sharing documents with the attorneys I work for, as well as coworkers that support me when I'm out of office. I mostly use this program to create word documents and PDFs that show the changes made in different versions of documents

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

The feature I depend on heavily is showing changes from an "original document" to a "modified document". It works well with two word documents but not when one or both is an Adobe  PDF document.

**Recommendations to others considering Litera Compare:**

save the combined document showing the changes between two documents immediately after creation, and save often to ensure changes you make after the fact are saved.

**What problems is Litera Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use this program to create word documents and PDFs that show the changes made in different versions of documents. It shows marked up changes between versions of Amendments that have been previously filed and Amendments that are being worked on in order to be filed.

Workshare makes it easy to compare PDFs, even when the text is formatted or otherwise spread out differently between the documents. It also makes clear which document is the original and which is the modified document, unlike Word.

It's not the sleekest interface, but it gets done what you need it to.

Fast and efgicicient metadata removal from emails, email attachments and Word and PDF documents. Easy and accurate version comparison with all additions, deletions and as well as maintained but moved items highlighted in distinct colors.

There is no part of this program that i dislike

Easy to install, easy to use, well priced and performs its tasks accurately

Removal of metadata provides important document integrity and security as all prior verbiage is removed. Accurate comparison creation develops trust with other negotiation parties.

**What do you like best about Litera Compare?**

it does what it's supposed to, compare docs. The new update to Workshare 10 is great, the previous versions caused a lot of errors and would not compare. Previously, I would have to convert pdfs to word and I would have to compare a few times before it would work. The new updated version rarely ever crashes and I can compare pdfs and docs no problem.

**What do you dislike about Litera Compare?**

Sometimes the program is buggy if you work in a networked environment (which most people would be if they're using this for work). Sometimes it crashes as there are conflicts with Adobe and word. 

**Recommendations to others considering Litera Compare:**

In a networked environment you would need the network admin every time you need to update/change the software.

Comparing docs is useful to quickly verify if there are changes in a document.
