As a small business, this is a big deal to have reliability and customer service. It feels like every penny we spend is crucial to our business and growth... we depend on efficiency. The value we have gotten from Liquid Web at this point has been heads and shoulders against the other services (and they were well recommended services). It's a little more (not much) than the other services we used but the capabilities, speed and security are soooooo much nicer! One of the most notable attributes of Liquid Web is their customer service. Top notch every time! **What do you dislike about Liquid Web?** This is barely a dislike... but the security is a high enough level that getting things going was a little snaggy. But, this is expected. Customer service made is as simple as it could be! **Recommendations to others considering Liquid Web:** If you are looking for a company who truly knows what they are doing and can help you in every aspect of your goals... check this place out! **What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a small company so we need great service and products for our dollars. We are paying a little more than what we have... but the benefits far outweigh. The UI is great AND it includes a CMS which we are developing for our team. Great stuff! ### 2. It offers a significant amount of flexibility to run your business and doesn't require you to have limited access like only FTP access like many competitors. There's no issue with security with the additional access and we have about 200 sites on their platform. **What do you dislike about Liquid Web?** The biggest issue that I've seen is the process for taking a site live. You have to point the A record and it can take hours for DNS to fully propagate, which is normal. The issue, though, is that you can't update the domain in the database until DNS fully propagates, rather than setting it ahead of time. This results in a dead site for users. There should be a means of renaming your domain from the interface prior to DNS propagation to allow for a smooth transition to live state. This has been an issue that I've not seen in other hosting providers. The workaround for us has been to set up DNS on a CDN first, then point the CDN A record to the host server. That's been the fastest way to address a migration, but shouldn't be a requirement. **Recommendations to others considering Liquid Web:** Research other providers and look carefully at costs versus services to really understand the value offered at Liquid Web. **What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?** Consistent hosting that is fast loading is a fundamental need for web services companies selling services like search engine optimization. Liquid Web provides this at a much more affordable price point than other competitors in the market place. High costs are passed on to customers, so lower prices allow us to pass on the savings, making us a value-oriented provider. Partnering with Liquid Web has allowed for that, making us a better business. ### 3. Rackspace sold my account. Since March 2018 you disabled all my websites and yet you CONTINUE to charge me DESPITE NUMEROUS cancellations by me. I had to cancel my AMEX card, and block recurring charges. Now you charged me AGAIN today. You OWE ME 9 months at $220. $1800.00. I will now post publicly wherever I can. Several months ago I was asked on the support chat to verify that I wanted to stop my account, verified it, and I was asked if I had all the content transferred, confirmed yes. And still you are charging me. I will post this review everywhere I can, since you are operating fraudulently. While we were completely happy with our existing hosting platform the merger has done nothing but improve. Value is one thing but the level of support we get is hands down the reason we stay. Sometimes tech support drags on via email, but it's not usually a critical issue. I've only had to call once, and that got it fixed right away. **Recommendations to others considering Liquid Web:** I've only used their vps to host several websites for clients, so if that's what you need, this is the ticket. **What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trying to keep hosting costs at a manageable level without taking shortcuts that will hurt me. I spoke with a sales manager and they went through all of the different details, technically too, which surprised me. Multiple 'engineers' going in and making changes to my servers without my authorization. Repeatedly requesting escalation to management and the engineers refusing to do so. They almost put us out of business multiple times. A few years ago when we were first starting off, we had a few managed servers, but didn't qualify for their enterprise support. One of our web servers suddenly went down and was un-reachable. Dealing with support for nearly an hour, they couldn't figure out what the issue was. After getting aggravated, I said "Can you please just go to the rack and check to make sure the server is physically there." About 15 minutes later they checked the rack and found out that the Ethernet cable had been disconnected from the NIC! Apparently somebody had been in there dismounting a server and accidentally unplugged the cable. Rather than admitting fault, support pinned the issue on us said said that we need to purchase ties to lock down the cables from coming out. That was just one out of the many issues we've had to deal with. **What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are only using their service for a small shared server that is for internal use and has no live production data. It is a managed WHM/cPanel server which is extremely easy to work with. We recently upgraded the ram and HDD with the click of a button. ### 34. There seems to be good communication between team members if a ticket isn't yet resolved when one person's shift comes to an end.
