"Lightweight, Fast, and Intuitive—Great Multilingual Support and Easy Device Transfer"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

It is very light and fast, learns your individual dictionary quickly, and supports different languages and alphabets. The workflow is very intuitive, and transferring it to a new device is remarkably easy, preserving all settings, statistics, and, most importantly, your dictionaries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

No major flaws. The only minor issue I’ve encountered is that it occasionally suggests the wrong type of quotation marks in a very specific Cyrillic-text context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Can't live without it!"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

I am a disabled person with cerebral palsy, and I can’t type very fast. Lightkey helps me finish words and sentences, so I’m able to type faster and communicate more easily.

Lightkey has genuinely transformed my typing experience - particularly as someone focused on accessibility and neurodiversity support. Its intelligent predictive typing is remarkably accurate, consistently anticipating my next words and reducing my typing effort dramatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

There are two downsides. First, you need to remember to deactivate Lightkey every time you want to restore your computer. Second, I wish Lightkey offered plugins for more browsers besides Chrome and Edge. Also, I wish Lightkey had plugins for other email programs besides Outlook. "Extremely Useful for Medical Terms and Faster Note-Taking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

It gets better and better the more I use it. It’s extremely useful for medical terms and significantly speeds up my note-taking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

It’s expensive, but I managed to get one of my two licences at a discount. At least there’s no annual subscription, which I really hate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I would never be without it!"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

It finds typos so they can be corrected immediately and quickly.

It suggests words and short phrases commonly or recently used, which is such a time saver when transcribing court hearings. I do not have to rewind the audio to catch up as much. I work from home to type these and utilize Lightkey for about eight hours per day.

After three years of using Light Key, I changed computer hard drives and lost my activation key. I had to do some work without Lightkey and felt handicapped. Lightkey Customer Service was outstanding in helping me get going again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

I don't dislike anything at all.

I would like to ask if we could input into Lightkey ourselves a dozen or so long phrases or paragraphs and make hotkeys for them, like you can do in MS Word, except MS Word has a character limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lightkey?

Lightkey adapts to my writing style (after uploading templates with preferred tone and writing style), making suggestions feel natural and personalized and increases productivity. I use it mostly in Outlook and Word, and it blends right in without getting in the way. I’ve also noticed fewer typos and smoother phrasing.

Customer support is also A+ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

Nothing to dislike about Lightkey, only positives so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Magical, with some chinks - but using it consistently creates value"
4/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

I don't know how it is done, but Lightkey truly seems to learn what I want to write based on its monitoring of my past texts. So, over time, the suggestions improve, and I simply acknowledge its proposed suggestions. So, creating text speeds up substantially. Installation is a breeze - install and forget. Lastly, Their tech support is second to none. So it lives on all my Windows pcs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

Sigh... Punctuation marks: Yes, I do not need a space before a comma, colon, etc. Requires manual correction. Sadly. But maybe I do not (yet) use it properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutely worth every penny!"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

This software considerably shortened and improved my typing. In my line of work I send out a lot of email and write a lot of documents and reports, and Lightkey has allowed me to get this done faster, and with a higher quality of writing using its predictions. I have the Pro version, and it's completely worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

Migrating Lightkey licenses to another computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

Two things: 1) the prediction quality and 2) the way it fixes typos. Item 2 especially is a game changer. I've increased my typing speed substantially due to how good it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

It'd be great if the product was available on multiple sites and apps that it's not on today. Perhaps a bigger issue is that it's windows only, so getting a Mac is off the table for me for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredible Increase in Efficiency and Amazing Customer Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Lightkey?

As I type this, Lightkey's "Anywhere Technology" is predicting my next keystrokes (and correcting the ones I mistyped). This feature is new, and it goes to illustrate how innovative the program is. Sure, the program itself is based on machine learning, but the company is always updating the program with new features to maximize its potential. As a tax attorney and legal author, I spend my life researching and writing. Before, I used dictation to increase my efficiency. I lost the precision that comes with thinking through a sentence while typing. Once I tried Lightkey, however, it bridged the gap between efficiency and precision. I save, on average, 2 hours a month drafting with Lightkey enabled. This may not seem like much, but multiply that by my billable rate, and my annual Lightkey license has paid for itself a hundred-fold since I bought it.

The program is unintrusive, intuitive, and such a pleasure to use. I had to switch computers, and I had an issue with deactivating my license on the first computer to reactivate it on the new one. I emailed Lightkey's support team, and less than twenty-four hours later, not only had they replied, but they had taken care of the issue on their end, and I could easily activate it and import my data from the previous computer. They even followed up to make sure that I had been successful. What a great product, and what a great company! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightkey?

The only issue I have encountered is using Lightkey when Microsoft's text prediction features are enabled. It is absurdly easy to disable Microsoft's predictive typing, which is far inferior to Lightkey's AI learning program. So the fix was simple, and I have not experienced any issues since disabling it. I cannot think of anything that I dislike about the program or wish that it featured. Every time the company pushes out a new update with new features, I find something I didn't know I needed, but which is invaluable to my typing efficiency, nonetheless.
