Over that period, we have developed a strong working relationship with the Boston Software team and have found them to be very responsive to our suggestions for improving the performance of their tool. The Boston developers have implemented many of our suggested changes (many thanks to Shawn Yeaton!) and released to all users. BWS has proven to be a powerful tool for automating 200+ processes within our revenue cycle. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** Though we appreciate the continuous updates and changes to the basic BWS application, we would like more opportunities to connect with other BWS healthcare users. Support is always available to help with the issues we run into. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** BWS20 is still in the Beta development stage. As a result, we don't always know what the capabilities of Boston are without doing a support call. Not possible to remove a script project without losing all of our Content Objects as we want to have one database since our database is a GB in size. No way to track what changes were made and when to the existing content objects within Boston itself. **What problems is LGI RPA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automate handling of claim errors, automate Elig checks, and automate processing files without human intervention or adding more staff. ### 4. Scripting of thousands of TEST patients with data into MEDITECH makes it so much easier and faster. I tried one other system; however it was not nearly as robust. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** I wish it was easier to do point and click functionality. I had to reach out for assistance with that. The is the only things that would make BWS better 1. is if it was easier to do point and click and 2. I was fortunate enough to have Sashi call me back. He was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. I would say his service was Holy Cow Awesome. This was my first interaction with Boston. I am completely blown away. Sasi was great. Everyone should have the privilege of a Sasi experience. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** I have not had enough experience to answer this question. **What problems is LGI RPA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using scripting for permissions and updating screens. The interaction with HTML pages of this tool is very accurate and fast compared to other tools. Moreover, due to hard code scripts, debugging is so easy for developers, which makes it easy for developers to use and code. VBA is the primary language in this tool, which makes it easy to manipulate HTML elements and can do complex tasks easily. Overall, the experience with this tool is satisfactory. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** This tool is good for web development; however, when it comes to window automation and OCR automation, this tool is not as competitive as other tools. It does not have enough commands in its library to play with Citrix and window elements. Moreover, the coding is too hard for window elements, which is complex for developers. **Recommendations to others considering LGI RPA:** If your company is majorly based on web automation, then Boston Workstation is best for it, but for windows and OCR automations, this tool is compromised. **What problems is LGI RPA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used Boston Workstation in my company to automate healthcare processes. Below is the problem statement I was working on: Claims are processed manually, which is time-consuming, of poor quality, and requires a lot of human effort on a daily basis. The business asked to automate this repetitive task to make it more accurate, fast, and not require any human interventions. High-level Use Case: Create a bot for processing insurance claims to fetch the input from an Excel file that contains PHI (Patient Info) and login and search claim on the payor website to extract specific values based on label (Claim Status, Claim Status Date, Claim Description, Reason Code) and again login and feed to XYZ application by searching the same account by Visit Number. This enables the developer to unleash the power of VBA. Since it uses VBA and you need to code, you can code for anything. Unlike the latest automation tools where your choice is limited to a selected list of components. Very good for healthcare website and Excel automation. Can include DLL or API files. Can also read and write text files. Can be used to read and write emails. Can connect to MS SQL Server. Uses JavaScript code for web scraping like getElementById, getElementByClassName. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** As a legacy tool, it lacks a lot compared to other tools in the market. One has to code in Boston Workstation. It's hard to automate system-based applications, requiring a very high skill level to do the same. It lacks the concepts of image recognition, even the concept of OCR is very different than other automation tools. In Boston Workstation, OCR is used to find the position of an object, rather than reading the text. Hard to perform Citrix automation. **Recommendations to others considering LGI RPA:** Yes, it's a good tool, but there are better tools than Boston. **What problems is LGI RPA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We automate healthcare websites, Excel automation, email, and file folder automations. ### 11. Although the system is very primitive in nature, it can perform a lot of automation related activities on the go, the experience has been good until now. The debugging and error handling experience has been the best of the tools I've used so far, it does offer a free flow coding structure like coding in a programming language IDE like Python. It uses VBA so you'll need to work your way around a lot of scenarios as it simply isn't feasible in some cases. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** Being primitive in nature, it does not bring a lot of features on the table that the modern RPA tools do, it lags behind in modern capabilities like object recognition and hassle-free coding while it does provide free flow control and better debugging to the developers. I'd still choose modern RPA tools like Automation Anywhere, UiPath over this. **Recommendations to others considering LGI RPA:** The tool offers only primitive solutions for the price point and one should consider other RPA tools which can offer features over a larger spectrum. Although the ease of development in the tool makes it really good for developers. **What problems is LGI RPA solving and how is that benefiting you?** The tool was designed for Healthcare Automation which it does pretty good but when it needs to perform complex functions, it doesn't provide the functionality, hence completely depending your healthcare need on it doesn't suffice. ### 12. 4. Excel Data and MS SQL Server Database handle easily with BWS. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** BWS is not for beginners, because everything is handled with the help of coding. It is more complex compared to other Robotics Process Automation (RPA) tools like Automation Anywhere, UiPath.

BWS supports only Visual Basic 6.0 / VBA as an automation development language.

BWS follows Internet Explorer (IE) web browser by default, all the Web automation runs on IE only. It is too complex because many times IE does not support the web portal properly, and the automation script does not capture the right information from web elements. **Recommendations to others considering LGI RPA:** Enhance Technical as well as provide better support for developers and end users. I love that it is coding based unlike Automation Anywhere which has drag and drop functionality. Boston has various functionality to connect to different file types and Applications. **What do you dislike about LGI RPA?** Boston Workstation must provide a way to integrate semi-structured and non-structured data in our automation like PDFs, which is quite difficult otherwise. Boston Email Functionality sometimes does not work, so we have to use VBA code to implement the same. Boston is not robust and sometimes hangs.
