It helps by having videos and help tips to show users how to find sources and how to fully utilize the features of the database. **What do you dislike about Lexis Advance Quicklaw?** It could be intimidating for people not in the field but are infrequent users. **Recommendations to others considering Lexis Advance Quicklaw:** Watch for the tips and help sessions to get yourself familiarized with the interface and functions before actually start searching. **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** When I need to find court options, jurisdictions, and/or legal topics etc. It is comprehensive and include a number of credible sources. ### 2. Often I'll select all and it'll say it's too many and the number it suggests is greater than the number of cases. I've never been in a situation where I wanted to download more than one version of a case or it article. I always wanted to download PDF versions of all of them separately and yet I often have to do multiple runs. Also if I change tabs my download stop which forces me to keep the tab open even though I'm working on something else. **Recommendations to others considering Lexis Advance Quicklaw:** While it lacks the same insideopedic benefits of West Law and the CED, it is a more affordable and still comprehensive option. **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it extensively for legal research and providing cases for facta, research memos, or preparing sentencing submissions. ### 3. They help understand that topic im looking at in the broader sense. **What do you dislike about Lexis Advance Quicklaw?** At times, not all the relevant info links appear on the 'related info' tab on the right. Alot does, but sometimes but everything. **Recommendations to others considering Lexis Advance Quicklaw:** If you're unsure how to use the features of Quicklaw, or even if you have some idea, but what to get the maximum benefit, you must sign up for one of their training sessions. There are so many features and ways to improve your research, that I only discovered after attending the short training - its only 30 mins or so, but they cover alot. **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I realied that I can save my searches and come back to it later. I like how used friendly the website was in finding cases and legislation on all legal topics. It eradicates the need for a paper library for cases and books on law. I live in Ontario so I was able to divide my searches for cases in Ontario court of justice, Ontario superior court, and Supreme Court of Canada. You can choose which legal fiend the search is within. the words "and", "not", "or" and within /# of words helped narrow my searches even further. Quicklaw significantly reduces the amount of time it takes for legal research. Law Office would be able to save there client a lot of money by taking advantage of Quicklaw. **What do you dislike about Lexis Advance Quicklaw?** I do not dislike anything about it. Quicklaw has made legal professionals' l research efficient with the easy to use tools the offer. **Recommendations to others considering Lexis Advance Quicklaw:** Easy to use. It will save time and money. **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to search of cases using different points of search such as lawyer's name, year, between two years, jurisdictions, case name, and even with certain key words and adding to these keywords "and, "not" "or" and within /# of words. Legal research was not as time consuming with Quicklaw. ### 5. The final printed product is superior to other services. **What do you dislike about Lexis Advance Quicklaw?** When I try to search all criminal cases for a specific day, sometimes (like Dec.16) none of the cases are flagged as criminal. That makes it harder than it used to be to conduct the same search a few months ago. **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instant access to cases and links to cases cited. I haven't had to travel to law libraries for obscure old cases or other items. ### 6. Some of the indexing is not accurate and a few extra minutes on open source yields similar results. **Recommendations to others considering Lexis Advance Quicklaw:** Negotiate the price down **What problems is Lexis Advance Quicklaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I stopped using quicklaw after I completed the licensing process. I’ve realised that it’s faster to use quicklaw, which is great if you can write off amongst clients, and save them a little billable time in research ### 7. Very easy to use.
