# What are the best AI writing apps for professionals?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hello G2 users, I work in a role where a big part of my day is writing, emails, internal updates, docs, the occasional report, and I’ve been trying to figure out what are the best <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/ai-writing-assistant">AI writing</a> apps for professionals that actually help with this kind of work.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">The problem I keep running into isn’t starting from scratch, it’s how much time goes into rewriting. A simple email ends up getting edited a few times just to get the tone right, or I rewrite the same thing because it doesn’t sound clear enough the first time. I’ve tried a couple of tools here and there, but I’m still not sure what actually fits into a normal workday without slowing things down or adding another step.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">These are the ones I keep coming across:</p><ol>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/grammarly/reviews"><strong>Grammarly</strong></a>: Feels like a baseline tool for everyday work, especially when writing emails, reports, or anything that needs to sound polished quickly.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/notion-ai/reviews"><strong>Notion AI</strong></a>: Seems useful if most of your work already lives in docs. I can see it helping with turning rough notes into something more structured.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-microsoft-copilot/reviews"><strong>Microsoft Copilot:</strong></a> Comes up a lot for Outlook and Word. Feels like more of an in-the-flow tool since it’s already where you’re writing.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/ai21labs-wordtune/reviews"><strong>Wordtune</strong>:</a> Useful when something is already written, mostly helpful in refining without fully rewriting.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/canva/reviews"><strong>Canva</strong></a>: Comes up more when writing overlaps with presentations or visual content, like putting together decks or quick assets along with copy.</li>
</ol><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Is there one tool that actually works well across most use cases, or do you still end up switching between a few depending on what you’re writing? Would be really helpful to understand what’s worked in practice versus what just sounds good on paper.</p>
