What do you like best about Krystal?

Krystals infrastructure is great. We have never experienced any downtime and their support is top-notch. The portal is easy to use and sites are easy to migrate and use. Customer service is always willing to go above and beyond, several times the tech team have helped me with issues that were outside of their support role.

Update as of 24/10/2025: Krystal still remains a vital part of our buisness and they have only gotten better. They now offer a website builder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Krystal?

The support is the main thing that has kept me at Krystal for years for hosting services. I started with Smart Hosting, which was later taken over by Krystal. They have always been very responsive and knowledgeable.

The package I use is pretty full featured. Though it not the cheapest hosting out there, you get a lot to leverage if you know how to use it, which I do daily. Though I have not really touched the sides of possibilities. there is a lot you can do with free, included features that come with Softaculous and other scripts, while Cpanel makes it a breeze to install and manage sites and server resources. For instance the 5-minute installs with Wordpress and other install scripts mean you can implement sites and services very quickly and easily.

Levels of integration with other products and services really depends on your skill level but hosting services have many common frameworks and open source utilities to make integreation easy and possible.

There are cheaper packages on Krystal itself, which allow from some experienting and exploring dabbling with hosting or for hosting one or a few specific sites at an afforable level.

The servers are very fast, even with my badly implement CMS sites they can still hold up for reasonable user experience.

Also am really grateful for the fact that Krystal have shown loyalty and patience to me as a humble customer, when I have needed it.

I don't really have any dislikes.

The closest to downsides is the price is not cheap but then the service is exceptional. And if you make the most of it, it can pay you back.

Also I wish sometimes I can get to root level access for certain installations - however as a shared hosting service, this is understandable security restriction. And I do need to use Cpanel mostly rather than command line interactions.

I have been hosting my own and client websites since 2001. I have been through some hosts I can assure you. For a long while, remained with a competitor of Krystal who, to be fair were good.

Having migrated a client account to Krystal it was a no brainer to move mine. To go from a good 8 score with the old host to a 9.6/7 with Krystal was a game changer. Nothing in particular was better - but Krystal managed to give there all across the board.

Of course nothing stays the same and I've seen hosts come and go. For some reason Krystal manage to outdo themselves at each stage.

I was looking for a friendly hosting comany, that also cared about the environment. Tired of the bigger hosting companies that kept getting taken over by even bigger hosting companies, I found Krystal. What a breath of fresh air. And as an environmetnalist myself, totally impressed to their commitment to green energy and sustainability I currently have reseller hosting with them for my clients, and business hosting for myself. In the many years I have been with them, I have never had any issues, maybe minor communication confusion, but every single ticket without exception was resolved, and with friendly and professional support team. I literally can't find anything bad to say about Krystal which is why I am also an affiliate, and also refer my own clients to them as I offer sustainability coaching. I encourage clients to run green businesses, and help them with the digital aspect.. so that means green hosting, green energy, as a start. Seriously - I have nothing but praise. And they probably don't even know how many clients I have referred to them! or how often I have talked about them in my podcasts and workshops. So. Just. Switc. To them. It's a no brainer. And my websites load fast, performs great, and if anything goes wrong, Support will help. Everytime. Via email ticket or live chat. Thanks Krystal. Keep up the good work. Having used Krystal for years, (I'm an amateur web builder), I am absolutely amazed by the fact there hasn't ever been any problems with downtime.

As some tasks and bugs can be a little bit too complicated for me to solve, the customer service is absolutely incredible. Any issues I've come across (usually because I've done something wrong!) has been solved almost instantaneously by customer service. Krystal are a B-Corp (which aligns with our company ethos and ethics), and provide a really quick response even to "non-urgent" tickets, 24/7.

They're less expensive than most other providers & they provide more space on their shared servers than other high-street named hosting providers for less money. I've had loads of problems in the past using the bigger named providers where I ran out of inodes, RAM, etc and yet with Krystal, I haven't even used 30% of what's available.

(Don't tell them that as they may put their prices up!)

When I need help I generally needed it like yesterday. I really like how quick and responsive they are when I submit tickets. Bendo Oates has been a godsend and has been super speedy at fixing my issues when I had users my end reporting that my website was coming up not safe. He ran a scan, checked plugins and offered a plan forward, which fixed the problem but he was quick to answers any questions I had.

Genuinley the people at the other end have actual knowledge and aren't just reading from a script in a centre somewhere. They are helpful and fix my issues that arise (normally self inflicted) without causing me any further stress.

The platform is easy to use, billing is simple to sort out. It does exactly what I need it to and probably a whole lot more but I don't have a complicated set up.

I migrated over from a previous company and although skeptical at first I've never had any issues or down time. The migration was effortless and smooth and since they've taken over they've done nothing but improve the service and hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using hosting companies to host my multiple websites for my small business for over 20 years, some good, some not so good.

I decided to change companies after my last host put their prices up. After research I decided on Krystal. Their packages, features and prices were impressive and when I signed up, they migrated my existing sites over and made sure everything was running perfectly.

Customer support was superb, Ben Coleman in particular was fantastic, going above and beyond to make sure everything was just so, including answering all my daft questions. Even answering queries in the evenings and weekends.

I can't fault the service and support I've had so far, it's far and away the best I've experienced in over 20 years of dealing with hosting companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
