It's a simple process to start a design. The questions help make it easier for all parties to understand what you are looking for. The designs have been out of this world! My company was paying a large marketing firm for years and they still couldn't figure out our brand style and branding...and they were 10x more expensive and 20x slower. I love everything so far after a few months in. **What do you dislike about Kimp?** Nothing other than you might get bored not having enough to do! :) **Recommendations to others considering Kimp:** Just be clear, set up your brand and brand guidelines, give them as much detail or wording as you can and don't be afraid to ask for changes. The process is super simple. **What problems is Kimp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have tried a couple of different monthly graphic design companies and there was always something wrong...either they want too much info so I could just design it myself OR they take too long to design and redesign because they never got it right or even close to begin with. Both ways were a waste of time, money, and energy BUT not with KIMP. I try my best to give them as much as I can and bam...they design such a beautiful piece. What's even better is now that we have a good flow down...they are creating things perfectly for our brand. It really is like have multiple graphic design people working at a fixed cost during the month. Our Board of Directors have taken notice too. Everyone has been impressed with my team but it is just me and my KIMP. :) I would highly suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity and use KIMP. ### 2. Their custom Kimp360 platform is truly a thing of beauty & functionality. I can tell that great thought went into every element and workflow of their platform with a strong understanding of good project management and efficient creative processes. And just as great, the people who work at Kimp. Kimp provides some of the best customer/client service I have ever experienced. Our primary project manager is exceptional, and even our secondary project managers (who cover leaves of absence when needed) are great as well. The dev team is quick and extraordinary. And Ven, the co-founder, is incredible to communicate with. Kimp has an award-worthy team of people who truly care about what they do and who do it well. **What do you dislike about Kimp?** The ONLY thing that I would like to be improved is the design quality. That's it. Their quality is good, and solid, but sometimes there are inconsistencies and additional revisions are necessary just to clean things up a bit. An overall bump in the talent level of designers would be my only desire. I would even pay more for that, because everything else with Kimp is incredible. To be honest, because our company is a graphic design agency ourselves, our eyes for detail are much more fine-tuned than the average person. For most people, the creative you receive from Kimp will be very good for what you need. And, at the minimum, it will be what you can expect from most good designers out here these days. So that, combined with their very good subscription plans, provides an exceptional value. **What problems is Kimp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kimp is filling the gap in our creative process by handling most of our graphic design requests for our clients on monthly retainers. We pass all requests to them, and they produce very solid creative/deliverables that make our clients happy. Instead of my team and I designing these ourselves, we are now free to focus more on client management than project management. ### 3. They were not creatives, designs were not great. A couple of times they would copy from another design they gave and and forgot to even edit the text so it was clear they copied. they were not fast or efficient and didn't correct themselves when I asked them to deliver on time. **Recommendations to others considering Kimp:** Definetly a bad platform to use for websites. I don't even see them doing better on graphs or any other projects. they took 2 days for a simple landing page design according to them. **What problems is Kimp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was on a paid trial and I wasn't getting even getting a couple of tasks done a week. The promise to turnaround projects quickly turned into them explaining they only worked on my tasks 2 hours a day. For $600 a month I thought that was a steep price for 2 hours a day and revisions and having nothing done on time. If you have any kind of real workload. When it comes to our turnaround times, our fastest turnaround times as many of our clients can attest to, are for single page/slide designs such as social media and web graphics and flyers. Though all tasks do get faster turnarounds as the assigned team gets more familiar with a client's tasks. Tasks which have multiple pages, screens and other components are more complex, may require more back and forth to clarify requirements, and as a result their turnaround times can get extended. All this said, we do understand that the workflow and team assigned to you didn't meet your requirements, and hope that with a full refund issued to you, you'll be able to find a service better suited to your needs. ### 4. They really can—and have—done it all. **What do you like best about Kimp?** Kimp has been a refreshing solution to needing a graphic designer. Full-time on-staff designers can be super expensive, freelance designers can be tricky to communicate with and can run up hours on a project that can also get expensive. With Kimp there is complete price transparency, and they are worth every cent. My Kimp design team keeps up with our fast-paced demand, they execute our brand look and feel effortlessly, and we have doubled, perhaps even tripled our design output. The perfect solution to our business needs! **What do you dislike about Kimp?** Not a dislike, but the only thing that I needed to get used to was the turnaround times. Kimp designers work while we are sleeping, which once I realized that it was actually really helpful to know I would come in to design revisions each morning. Also they only work on 2 projects per shift, which also was good to know, so you need to know how to communicate and prioritize your work. **Recommendations to others considering Kimp:** I would suggest using them! Make sure you can clearly communicate what you are looking to accomplish and Kimp will execute for you. **What problems is Kimp solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main thing we solved was not having to hire an on-staff designer, and not having to source a freelancer. Unfortunately during a month of services, they were only able to complete one logo, 6 icons, one ebook cover with 6 chapter title pages, and a simple zoom background. All projects required at least 5 revisions with 2 projects never reaching completion. After 8 revisions I had to give up on the project for my own brand because the illustration team could never grasp the concept even though I gave multiple examples of what I was looking for and recorded multiple loom videos walking them through what I wanted. I will never recommend this service, they created more work and a huge headache for me. **What do you like best about Kimp?** The trello board was nice to work with but the team was not able to deliver. **What do you dislike about Kimp?** See above, team was not able to deliver. **Recommendations to others considering Kimp:** Only use this service if you have the most BASIC requests.
